The keycard was designed in black and red; Derek had been seeing the same colours a lot since they got here. He assumed it must be related to the school's official colour or theme.

On the Keycard, the number fifteen was written in little letters at the top, while seven was written boldly in black at the right side of the card indicating the floor and the number of the room they'll occupy.

Looking at the number plates in front of each of the rooms, Derek came to a halt at the one that said seven. He swiped the card at the scanner on the door, it made a single beeping sound and then an unlocking sound.

Derek pushed the door inwards and it opened silently, the huge fancy oak door was surprisingly light and soundless. Derek walked in, the lights in the room came on in a systematic fashion and the door began to close slowly behind him.

Chuck seeing the door close slowly rushed forward and held it ajar before it shut completely.

Derek almost wished the door closed on him so he could have some alone time in this vast space. He wondered why they were not given one room to each person.

But then he also thought that would be silly because they were about a thousand people turning up for this event and surely there wasn't a thousand rooms.

Even if there were, it would be the important guests taking a room each.

The lights had fully come on in the room, and Derek could now see the furniture and the furnishings in the room properly.

Derek froze at the spot, this was beyond luxury. He knew that the room was large when he entered but he didn't expect anything like this.

This was a suite and not an ordinary room. There was a fluff mat made purely of wool at the entrance.

The living room was generously furnished, the sofa was an inviting mass of black and a touch of red as usual, the chandelier hung low to the center of the room.

There was a television screen on the wall, which folded into the wall. Derek walked slowly examining every inch of the suite.

The bedroom was like something straight out of a drawing. The huge bed was well positioned with white sheets and a black duvet covering half of the sheets.

The wooden frame on the bed was decorated with ornaments. The cupboards and the table near the bed were made of the same material as the bed frame.

The whole room smelled of luxury.

After staring for almost an hour, Derek and Chuck finally got their fill of the view and was ready to focus on something else.

They were now hungry and began to wonder if their school tokens were also valid here.

Derek proceeded to leave the room and Chuck followed right behind. Derek made sure to grab the keycard and stuff it in his pocket.

They both got into the nearest elevator on the floor, seemed like none of them had heard Elton say they should all remain in their rooms.

They then realized that neither of them knew how to operate the elevator. Derek began to look around and Chuck began kicking the elevator.

Derek only thought he must have mush for brains, then he saw it. It was a black panel on the wall, white light flashed through the panel every fifteen seconds.

Derek stretched his had to touch it and the panel came on, he quickly withdrew his hand in alarm. The number of each floor was clearly shown on the panel.

The numbers on the panel ran all the way to twenty-four and at the end was zero. He tapped the zero and the panel went off almost immediately.

The elevator glided slowly to the ground floor and the doors skid open once again, Derek had no idea where they were supposed to get food from.

Maybe they should have just waited in the room and had Elton do something about their hunger.

They were still standing in the middle of the building ground floor when a young girl strutted up to them.

"Hi, I'm Maya" she greeted the two.

'What a strange name' Derek thought.

"I'm Chuck and this is my friend Derek" Chuck quickly replied, gliding to the front of Derek while putting on his widest smile.

"You two look a little lost, need any help?" she asked

Standing in the center of the whole building must have been too off.

"N-"

"Yes of course" Derek was quickly shut off by Chuck "we need all the help we can get"

"Oh" Maya nodded

"We needed to get some food, but we can't find where to get any" Chuck explained

"That shouldn't be hard" Maya replied cheerfully. "Come along, I'll show you a good place"

Derek reluctantly followed, while Chuck literally pulled him along

"There are a few places you can get food in here, but I know somewhere even better"

Soon enough they were leaving the building premises and walking through school.

The bus ride had taken almost the whole day and it was night already, lights from different coloured bulbs lit up the surrounding.

Derek couldn't get enough of the view, this place didn't look like a school. They passed some small buildings, and were currently at a game shop.

Derek stole a quick glance into the shop as he passed by, he wished he could get surprised but he didn't even know the name of the gadgets he was seeing.

The food shop was right next to the game shop, Maya went in first.

"Hey Maya" the man at the counter smiled at her

"Hey Tate"

"The usual?"

"Yes, but three servings"

"I see you brought some friends" Tate chuckled to himself "three servings coming right up"

Maya went to the table at the far end and waved the boys over.

Chuck moved to slide into the seat with Maya, but Derek nudged him into the next seat opposite Maya.

"I'm guessing you both are from East Side?" Maya started.
