12. Ross Beltross

" Sigh! Academy life is worst! Why that old hag told me attend?" Alex sighed.

The only reason Alex is attending the academy is because of Glisda. He wasn't expecting anything but on the first day he found an interesting boy. A boy with dragon mana but unable to control it.

After meeting with Ross, Alex knew his problem. The problem is his will! Ross wants to be strong but he is afraid of becoming strong. Something is blocking his growth. He is afraid of his power.

Alex thought of this and investigated about him. And he found Ross's situation to be like a cliche protagonist.

Ross Beltross, a student of the 3-2. He is hated and bullied by others for mainly two reasons. First, is because of his rank. Even he is in 3rd year his rank is E. And second reason is because of a certain rumour.

Ross was dating a girl named Clara who happened to be his childhood friend. Both of them came from the same village with the dream of becoming Slayer.

Clara was very beautiful and was also top in class rankings. She is an A rank student. While Ross is an E rank. But despite that this girl Clara used to date him. But one day she saw him cheating her with another girl and she broke up with him.

Many students used to be jealous of him because of his relationship with Clara. But couldn't do anything because Clara was a top ranker. But after the rumour most students bullied him. And teachers also didn't support him because he was a measly E rank!! Why would they waste time to protect him?

Alex thought that Ross was really a common cliche protagonist!!

Both in most of the cliche stories, the protagonist strives for revenge but Ross gives totally different vibe. It's like he wants to be stronger but not to take revenge. He only wants to be stronger. And the reason for becoming strong is null. And because of it he just overworks his body and slowly his body is deteriorating.

In the demon forest, Ross arrived as promised. Alex was already in the promised place.

" So you came. I thought you wouldn't come." Alex said.

Ross didn't replied, only stood still. Alex sighed a bit then started the training.

" What do you know about Dragon mana?" Alex asked.

" Dragon mana is term described to mana which is large as dragon." Ross replied.

" Your answer is correct but it is not complete. Dragon mana is mana which is not only large like dragon but also consists a consciousness of dragon. And the reason you can't control your mana is because of the consciousness of mana sealed in your body." Alex explained.

Every person have different mana. Nobody have the same type of mana. It is simply not possible to have same type of mana because it is a combination of soul and nature. Mana is an energy which is a mixture of nature and soul. That's why mana signature of every person is different. And this mana signature can't be changed.

And every mana have an element and consciousness.

Element is as it sounds. Every mana have a type of element like fire, water, wind, etc. And that's why Slayers have element. Every Slayers are classified according to their element. If somebody have fire element, then fire Slayer is the category for that person. Some people also have more than one element but Alex who can wield any element is an exception.

And mana also have consciousness. After all it is a product of soul. But most consciousness are weak. And they are suppressed by body of host. But if somebody have mana quantity like dragon then the consciousness is strong. And to wield such type of mana the wielder needs to have a strong will. A will that doesn't break. Then only dragon mana will accept the host as it's master.

But Ross doesn't have a will. And Dragon mana will try to go on rampage every time he tries to use it. And for Alex it is different. Alex is loved by mana. Because of his trait of being one with nature all consciousness are happy with him. That's why he don't have to do suppression like others do.

" In order to use large mana like yours, you need to have a strong will. A will that doesn't break even if something happens. But you don't have that will and because of it Dragon mana is not accepting you." Alex said.

" B-But I have will to become stronger." Ross stuttered.

" For what? Why you want to become strong?" Alex asked.

Ross couldn't reply anything.

" If you can't find a reason to become a reason to become strong then you will be stuck in a place. Then no matter what you do you can't gain strength. You have forget your past and have to move one." Alex said.

Alex knew Ross and Clara affair. That's why he told Ross to forget about Clara.

" B- But how can I forget about Clara? I love her more than anything." Ross cried.

" I am not telling you forget her. I am telling you accept the reality. Clara have broken up with you. You have to accept it and have to move up." Alex tried to make him understand.

" B-But..."

" No buts! She broke up with you and have moved on. If she still had feeling for you than she wouldn't become somebody else's girlfriend. But she already have fallen love with somebody else. You have to find a reason to become stronger." Alex roared to make him words understand.

After breaking up with him, that girl named Clara became somebody else's girlfriend. If love was easily changeable than she never loved Ross from the start. If she dated somebody else to make Ross jealous than it is a bit understandable.

" I don't care you love her or not. I just want you to find a will. It can be any petty reason. Or it can be any cringey reason. You just need to have a reason." Alex said in soft voice.

" Think for today. If you found it then come tomorrow. If you can't find it then you don't have to come. Take some more days to find it and then come to ask me in my class." Alex said to him and left.

' I just hope he can find a will to become stronger.' Alex thought and left.
