his mind was going highwire as he tried to make sense of things...did Bob send him here again?? no that wouldnt make any sense, he didnt break any rule and didnt do anything that would put him in a bad light...or did he?

he spared Salem, choosing to take the longer route and break the curse that was put on her by the twin gods...is this some sort of punishment for not killing her??

Lucifer: okay, okay...calm down.

he spoke to himself as his voice echoed trough the endless black void that he was all to familiar with. he took a deep breath trough his nose and exhaled trough his mouth, after a couple of more times doing so he finally calmed down.

he sat down and started to think on how could end up here.

'i remember that yesterday we landed on Vacuo...'

Ruby: OMG!OMG!OMG!OMG!OMG! i have never been to Vacuo before!! do you think they have bakeries in here??

Yang: Ruby calm down! its just a normal city.

said the blonde brawler as she grabbed her half-sister cape keeping her from running away into the city

Weiss: if by "normal" you mean "barbaric" then yes, this is a pretty normal city.

the voice of the ice-queen had a hint of...disgust? disaproval? anger? hard to tell really, but you can say for sure that she really does not like this city

Jaune: what do you mean?

Weiss: the people of Vacuo are barbarians as i said, they completely ignore the council of their own kingdom and spit on every law that was made by them!

'huh...interesting...but if this kingdom survived for this long someone needed to be in power no mater how small it was'

Ren: i heard that the only widely accepted source of order in the Kingdom was Shade Academy.

'and here it is...'

so the huntsman academy holds most power in this kingdom huh? okay he can see something like that happening, he read other fantasy books/novels where the magic school had more political power then it should have...and apparently the same goes for here!

Lucifer: before we go to Shade academy i think we can explore a little of the city...(i bet i can buy more books to my collection here...)

Pyrrha: are you sure? arent we supposed to do the mission as fast as possible??

Jaune: do we even have a deadline?

they all turned their heads to Lucifer, expecting to get an answer out of him

Lucifer: no, but i prefer to end this in 6-7 days if i have to be honest

he will make Salem wait longer...but he wanted to explore a little. after all this is a new world! everybody would have been at least a little curious about the new cultures and other stuff, even him!

they then spend hours visiting different places in Vacuo and learn a little about the place, and from what Lucifer has seen he can tell that this kingdom goes by the rule of the jungle...the strongest survive, and those who can survive are warmly welcomed no matter of the background...needless to say he loved this place !!!

before any one of them could notice the sky was already dark and they rented rooms in a cheep motel, deciding that they will go for the relic tomorrow

right...so yesterday nothing happened...he went to his room, cast a ward around his and both team rooms and then...he got to sleep??

he didnt remember falling asleep...he remembered...he was?....what was he doing? was he reading? (probably :v) was he studying the ways of magic? he didnt know! this is as far as he could remember! it cut's after that! next thing he knows he is in a black void.... A G A I N ! ! ! ! ! !

'okay...dont panic it will not get you anywhere...'

he once again took a couple of deep breaths and focused once again, why is he here? what even is this place?? he just appeared here without any warning...is it truly a punishment from Bob?

Lucifer: ok, ok try to remember! what would i do after that day? i was planing to go to Shade academy

". . . . . . . . w-h-y-? . . . . . . . ."

asked a quiet whisper that could be heard across the black void

Lucifer: for the relic of power

responded Lucifer not even questioning who asked the question, his face was casual and his body relaxed he was acting as this strange voice was nothing special or dangerous

". . . . . . . . w-h-y-? . . . . . . . ."

Lucifer: because i wanted it

he sounded more like he was speaking to himself rather then to answering the strange voice

". . . . . . . . w-h-y-? . . . . . . . ."

Lucifer: because its dangerous to leave it in this world...taking it away will do more good then damage...(right?)

there was a long silence after his words, neither him or the strange voice said anything. the moment of silence felt like thousand of years but in reality it was only 3 minutes

". . . . . . . . t-r-u-l-l-y-? . . . . . . . ."

Lucifer: ...no...

". . . . . . . . t-h-e-n . . . . . . . . w-h-y-? . . . . . . . . "

Lucifer: because...(because?? because what?!) i...i want...

his vision got blurry as he soon got on one knee...his breath was violent, his eyes pupils shrunk and his hands started to shake

he managed to calm enough to stand up but only to see something that should not be possible.

he was standing there, the wind running trough his hair, his black and white wings wet and dripping with blood, thousands of dead angels dead on the ground... in his hand he was holding his noble phantasm the two jagged swords named as the "Blades of the Abyss"...the blades still partly black but mostly already painted red by the countless angels...his brothers and sisters blood was forever stuck to these swords...his past self was proud of this but now...

". . . . . . . . w-h-y-? . . . . . . . ."

asked the voice again just as quiet as the other times but still loud enough for Lucifer to hear

Lucifer: because i want power...
