Chapter 82: Grand Blisscade

"So, that's how you ended up here…" Camille said with a pensive tone. "You must've been really scared. I thought that dark forest was really somewhere I won't ever go or stay in."

"The forest wasn't as scary as you might think," Haru smiled calmly. "It was actually cozy and kind of beautiful. The air was soft and it doesn't hurt the skin. The crickets were a bit noisy, but it sounded fun in that place. The darkness too, it wasn't actually too dark as I made it in my mind. It was more a bit foggy, actually."

"I see… Does your head hurt from having that memory returned? Do you wanna take a rest for now?"

"Let's go to the fifth feature, Camille," Haru insisted. "I'm fine. It just hurts a bit, but it'll be gone in no time."

Camille looked a bit worried with how he said it, so she thought it would be best to tell Alicia.

Soon, they both went to a crane machine.

"This is the last feature?" Haru asked, staring at the machine, looking unsurprised.

Camille still couldn't get used to Haru's newfound attitude, because it felt like she's dealing with a whole new different person.

It's as if the Haru that they met from the Castellia Fort, that Haru who was a responsible young man and helped all of them get through their memories being unfolded in the open, had disappeared into nowhere.

She was really fond of that kind of Haru because it also felt like she gained a good and reliable friend.

Looking at the Haru right now, he does seem much more dependable as if he knows exactly what he's doing, but it doesn't seem as trustworthy any longer.

Camille couldn't shake off the feeling of being estranged.

It was as if she was forced out of his circle and has built a wall to fend off any emotions that they have built up together and she was left with nothing but debris.

"What does this one do, Camille?" He asked, fumbling over the controls of the crane machine. "What do we get in playing this machine? Does it get us some snacks this time?"

"N-No, not snacks or sweets. It's your loved ones."

"What? Loved ones? What do you mean by that? Like the one from the Tale Park World at the central tent?"

Camille went over to the crane machine and pressed the start button. It didn't need any kind of token like the ones from their original world to be inserted. It could be played in an unlimited number of times and it gives you all the chances you need.

There are strange dolls and toys in it and anything you get with the crane machine, as long as the game was finished, an image will appear that is only visible in your head.

Camille played it to show Haru how it's done and when she got her toy, she said, "I could see my brother Arthur right now."
