Tutor

Tamara opened the newspaper and turned pages there she saw a advertisement block. She went through them searching for any perfect job for herself. A small box grabbed her attention, “Tutor for home schooling” she read it. It was an advertisement for a home tutor of child in 1st grade.

That was something very easy for her to do and earn. Those people were also paying a good amount for it, also it was 3 hour work with off on weekends. It was like a jackpot to get such job, but the thing that bothered her was why were these people were paying such large amount just to tutor a small grade 1 kid.

She noted the address in her notepad, and thought of trying her luck with this job tomorrow as it was weekend and she have an off from her college.

Next morning with sun shining brightly giving hopes to gain this job, Tamara did her morning routine and wore a floral printed long skirt with a plain Ivory shirt, she tied her hair into casual ponytail with ribbon. She checked her certificates one last time before keeping them in her bag. She wore the brown leather sandals and walked out of her room locking it.

She booked a cab to Rosemary casa, showing the address to driver that she noted last night. When she reached the destination her eyes got stuck at size of mansion. She paid her bill and walked towards the gate, a security guard was there.

“Excuse me, I am here for the job of tutor" said Tamara showing the advertisement of newspaper.

The guard looked at the newspaper advertisement and then went inside. Within a minute he returned,

“Miss, please come inside” said the guard. Tamara walked inside the gate and write her name in a register and signed there. She walked towards the main door of mansion, she took a deep breath before walking inside.

She went inside tightly grabbing her bag in anxiety, Tamara was never a timid and naïve person but first time approaching for a job made her nervous. Her mind drifted away from anxiety gawking at lavish interiors of the mansion.

She was looking around when a calm male voice caught her attention. “Miss, I am butler Andrew. What is your name ??” the man was of short stature with some greys visible in between his black.

“Hello, I am Tamara Alexan. I am here for the job of tutor" said Tamara politely

“Oh that’s good Miss. Alexan please have a seat, Sir and Madam will be here shortly” said Butler and showed her a seat in massive llivingroom. Tamar took her seat and took out her file. She was going through the file checking it, when she heard some foot steps.

She raised her head and saw an old couple walking hand in hand. She stood from her seat in their respect.

“Hello Miss, I am Victor Allen and she is my wife Rosemary Allen.” said the old man with a small.

“Nice to meet you Sir, Myself Tamara Alexan from Atlanta” said Tamara respectfully.

“Please have a seat" said Rosemary and sat with Victor on her side and Tamara in front.

Tamara passed them her file, they turned her certificates and checked them. “You have pretty good grades, infact you are overqualified for this work. With soo much of qualification why do you want tutor a grade 1 child??” asked Victor

“Actually Sir, I am right now doing my doctorate in Riverdale university. I need a job to manage my expenses, and this one is perfect as I don’t have to put extra efforts and I will get sufficient time for studies also. And the amount is pretty good” said Tamara

“That’s good, well actually we have a issue with our grandson. He never let any tutor survive more than a month” said Rosemary.

“Oh!! Can I meet him. In that way we can see does he like me to teach him” said Tamara

“That’s a good idea, Andrew bring him here" said Rosemary.

“Meanwhile Miss. Alexan tell us about yourself” said Victor. With this Tamara was little panicked thinking of wedding issue but she calmed her nerves and replied him with confidence, “I am from Atlanta. My parents died 4 years ago after that I was taken care by my uncle and aunt. After completing my post graduation I filled forms of various universities and Riverdale was the one among them.

After getting the acceptance letter and scholarship I came.” said Tamara

“That’s good child you seemed to be hard working in such a young age. Well you must be staying university dormitory right??” said Rosemary.

Before Tamara could reply a familiar voice which was filled with joy and happiness echoed in area.

“Loveyyy" said Ember as he came running towards Tamara. He directly climbed on her lap and hugged her, “How are you my little gentleman??” asked Tamara lovingly and poked his nose.

“I am good” said Ember and kissed her on cheeks.

“Ember, you know her??” asked Victor, as he was shocked to see his grandson smiling that to with a stranger which was new to him, because he was always scared of new people and infact he use talk freely only with Rosemary.
