Chapter 10

Ziah was sitting on a bench in the park, looking blankly at the lake. It has been more than a month since she started to work in the coffee shop and she's starting to be attached with Nally and Granny Perry. They were both kindhearted and always smiling brigthly. She should be happy, but this feeling of attachment is making her anxious. As much as possible she's trying not to feel any emotion towards anyone because she does not want to experience the pain of losing someone she loved. She doesn't like this feeling of belongingness because she knew that time will come that she needs to move away from this place, from the people she met here, from everything. Because she's been doing that ever since she run away from her relatives. Her uncle and aunt got everything that belongs to her so she doesn't understand why are they still looking for her. Wherever she went, they would find her and try to harm her, that is why she is always running away.

A few days ago, she saw a group of men wearing black suits roaming around the area, she's afraid that the time to leave and move away from here has come. 'It's too soon. Have they found me already? But I am sure that I didn't come into contact with anyone related to them or even the company.' She was busy thinking of her next plan when she heard an angelic voice beside her.

"Ziah, is that you?" Nally asked.

"Yeah" she answered shortly.

"It seems that something is bothering you, you didn't notice me coming."

"I was just thinking about something. Why are you here? It's almost sunset, you should be at the shop."

"Yeah, I just wanted to get some fresh air.", Nally smiled innocently.

"Ok, but make sure to get back to Granny Perry shortly."

"Yes, of course. Are you leaving now?"

"Mmm. I'm going home now." Ziah is used to Nally walking around the neighborhood alone. Most of the people here knew her and are fond of her so she doesn't worry too much about leaving her alone.

But when she was just a few meters away from Nally, she heard her struggling. She looked back and saw Nally being dragged away by five men wearing black suits towards a van parked not too far away from the park. A sudden rush of fear, anger, and worry came down to Ziah as she started running back towards Nally.

"Let go of her!", she shouted at the men who are dragging her away, but the men ignored her so she fasten her pace and sprinted towards them. She slide down and kick the legs of the man nearest her gave him a blow of punch at the stomach then she kicked him on his side while he was still lying on the ground. The men in black suits were startled seeing that one of them are lying on the ground crouching his side. From the looks of his face, he might have his ribs broken.

"I said, let the girl go.", Ziah warned, her voice cold, her face screaming danger.

One of the men who seems to be the leader gestured to the other three men to take care of her while he remained holding Nally.

'Three versus one, this guys doesn't know how to play fair', Ziah smirked at the thought. The guys seemed to be trained fighters she's in a great disadvantage. She took a deep breath and tried to calm herself down, she knew that she can only win if she's calm. When she opened her eyes, she's ready to fight with her best. One of the man put his force on her feet so she figure that he will be the first one to attack. She dodge his punch, gave him a blow at the back and used his momentum to push him away. Then side kicked the second one who attacked her, and punch the third. She was fighting with all her might, and tried everything she can to dodge and block the attacks. These guys are trained fighter, one blow from them and she might lose her conciousness so she had to be extra careful. After sometime she managed to handle all three of them and now the only one remaining was the one who's holding on Nally.

"What? Are you gonna just stand there and do nothing?" Ziah gave him a smirk.

The guy let go of Nally and walked towards Ziah and made a fighting stance. Ziah attacked him by giving him a punch, but the man was able to block the attack and use that chance to give her a blow in the stomach. Ziah took a few steps back as she felt her knees losing its strength. She shook her head and tried to calm her nerves, 'This guy is really their leader', the next attack came from the man, and Ziah managed to dodge it and gave him a kick straight to his chest followed by a kick on his face. She did not gave the man time to recover and quickly jump to his shoulder and locked his head in between her legs. The man fell on the ground but Ziah did not let go, she held the hand of the man and flip it. She felt it crack and the man screamed in pain. Ziah move to his legs and broke it as well. She went to Nally after beating the guys.

"Nally. Are you ok?"

Nally did not answer, she was trembling really hard and silently crying. She shook her on her shoulders but still no response. She might have been shocked because she almost got abducted. She carried Nally on her back and walk out of the park. She took a cab and decided to bring Nally to the nearest hospital. She wanted to call Lello but she doesn't know how. She also don't remember the phone number of granny's coffee shop. She felt frustrated at the thought that she can't contact anyone.

"Nally,, you need to calm down, don't worry I am here." Ziah doesn't know what to do. So she hugged Nally and touch her back up and down to comfort her. Slowly her cries subsided and became sobs. Then she fainted. "Nally wake up!" Ziah panicked and told the driver to drive faster. As soon as they reached the hospital Ziah paid the driver and carried Nally on her back and rushed inside the emergency room.

"Please help me, she suddenly fainted!"

"Nurse please call Doctor Claveria, said the head nurse."

"Yes ma'am"

A few minutes later the doctor came.

"Where is the patient?"

He looked at the worried girl, who is probably the companion of the patient.

"Ziah?"
