Date Invitation War

Raven knew who Lexus's caller is, but he decides not to mind it in the meantime. He now understands Lexus's attitude and why he seems too stressed.

Raven sighs. He knows he needs to plan it very well. The Ball night is not an ordinary event for them; it is also a way to make the power of Elites stronger.

Raven is holding his head while his eyes close when Ken approaches;

"You said you have plans for Lacey Miles; what is it then?" Ken asks curiously

"I will show up as my father asks me. I will introduce myself to her and accompany her. You know all the woman goes to salon and dresser before the Grand night, so I know she will be busy preparing, and my plan is." Raven seems in deep thought

"You don't have any bad plan for her? Still, she is Miles heiress, and it's not okay to do something to her to get what you want." Ken warns him

"I'm not; I will make her only confuse in time. I will pay someone to stick to her and make her busy and occupied in preparing. If she is confused in time, she will think it's her fault that she didn't come to the Grand Ball Night." Raven explain

"Confuse her with time," Ken mutters.

"Yes, when a woman occupies with the things they like, they forgot about time. I will intentionally mess up with her watch and the store time. It will be tricky, but I pay some people who will do it for me. The boutique of her gown and her dresser she will go, those places are all set up." Raven stated.

"You surely plan it, Raven," Ken praises him.

'If Lacey will be the one who can't come in the Ball Night. I'm free in my father's wrath. I have to make it as her fault." Raven states

"But what about her; don't you think it's unfair? What if your father got mad at her or her parents?" Ken asks concern

"I research about her, and No, my father will not touch her, and her parents cannot be mad. She is a spoiled brat who gets all she wants, and that's includes me. Heiress of Miles surely knows how to get up to the top of the game through family connections, but she is a newbie in these games. Our parents only use her as a pawn in their chessboard." Raven expresses his disappointment.

Lexus overheard Raven and Ken's discussions, he forgot his cellphone on the desk, and he can't get it, not that Raven and Ken are still talking.

Lexus sighs; he is sitting in the back of the door that is slightly open, his back leaning on the door slightly,

"What about the date invitation? How can we invite the woman we want to date? There will be a commotion in the University; the student's eyes are all on us." Ken reminds him

"I know, but the students wanted to ask for a date, or they will do likewise and invite us instead. It will be chaos. I admit no plan on how we can invite them. How can we shut the news from the University to be delivered to our father? I think of ways for that; my father's men are sure everywhere on the campus. The only thing we can do is to make them occupied too." Raven says so focus

"How can we do that?" Ken asks

"I pay people to make a scene, like a drama, someone will drag me, punch me in a face and believe me my father men will be over me protecting me and they will drag the man and interrogate him."

"That is dangerous Raven, what If they hurt that person."

"Don't worry. It is easy; I will make the parents come and say sorry in front of me, and I will excuse them. When I forgive them, my father's guards have no say; I'm still in command. I will give them money and a reason to drink and celebrates their hard work, and they will be very drunk; they will forget they will have to keep an eye on me. I will excuse them anyways and not let my father knows when they comeback being sorry." Raven whisper

Ken slightly nods but still frowns, "Your plan is dangerous."

"I know that is why it needs to be precisely done. No error or everything will mess up." Raven says

"In terms of fighting my father, you have to be on the innocent side and never give him a reason to think badly of you. I'm doing that technique." Raven stated.

"Okay, but I hope we can pull that through. I'm kind of nervous." Ken admits

"It's okay. You sleep, Ken. We talk enough." Raven pursue him to rest

"Okay, you go and sleep too. We need a lot of energy" Ken exits himself.

Raven quickly stands up from the sofa and walks away. At that moment, Lexus comes out and gets his phone on the table. He sees the missed call from the person he doesn't want to deal with it.

Lexus dial the number; "Hello," he answers.

"Yes, I understand. Sir, sorry I didn't answer a while ago. I'm asleep. Okay, Sir." Lexus finally explains and cuts the call.

Lexus goes to the kitchen, opens the fridge, and gets some water and drink.

He gulps when he hears someone talk, "So, are you going to report my entire plan to my father?" Raven smirk.

Lexus acts unfazed, "I wouldn't. Why will I do that?" Lexus casually answer

"Why are you talking to my father then?" Raven asks curiously,

"Your father doesn't trust you; I don't know where they get the idea that they can trust me, but either way, I will still do what I like," Lexus answers, putting down the bottle of water.

"And your plans will benefit me; Leigh is the woman I want to date, no one else. I told you I'm down in your plan." Lexus stated

"I know you will never let me down, Lexus," Raven says happily and hugs his brother.

"I trust you, and I always count on you," he says while giving Lexus a tap on his back,

"I'm sorry I make you worry" Lexus tap Raven in his back too and smile.

"You scared me, actually," Raven laughs makes Lexus chuckles too.

The Ball Night is a formal event. The student wears suits, preferably a coat and tie for the man and Elegant and beautiful well-made dresses for women.

They are accustomed to these kinds of events.

Their University never lost its prestige in every occasion and event in their school; simple is never a part of their vocabulary.

Everybody excited the ladies are waiting for their dream gentleman to ask them as a date for the night. Some ladies are thinking of ways how they invite their man as their date tonight?

The men are busy asking their dream women to be their date.

The whole campus is full of chattering; guys and girls ask to be a date of one another.

Lexus, Raven, and Ken wanted to go out there to ask their dream women for a date for the night.

They can't; the situation doesn't allow them to.

There is a lot of request from the girls all around the campus.

Most of the girls in their University wanted to date the number one elites, and being their date can make any girl proud. The three best friends stay in the archery club uphill the mountain; Ken master lets them stay.

"How could we go down there and asks someone for a date?" - Lexus says in an anxious tone.

Faye, Leigh, and Czerene are in their hiding place too.

There's a lot of persistent guys who keep asking them to be their date.

They are already turning down a lot of offers, and it is making them tired. Suddenly a voice hears on the whole campus. The University head administrator is speaking, making an announcement.

"All students, calm down; be prepared for our prestigious ball tonight. The gate will be open at 8 pm, so we hope; we can see you tonight. Thank you, everyone. Now go and find your dream date for tonight, your time is ticking..." and then a loud irritating beep is heard, and the speech end.

"Aish," Faye said in a hush, irritates voice as she even lifts both of her hands in the air and collapses it with both of her laps; she looks defeated.

"We have to get going, Faye. The students will go and fix themselves. We have to prepare too," Leigh reminded them.

"We don't have a date yet?" - Faye sounds sad.

"It doesn't matter, Faye. Let us date each other, and luckily maybe we could grab some date in there" - Czerene fake a smile for the last part she says.

"That's pathetic."- Faye complains.

Czerene and Leigh will open their mouths for they want to appease Faye's bad mood. Once again, an irritating beep chirps as a sign that there is an announcement for all the students.

It shut out their mind and their mouth and gives their attention to the announcement.

As a deep voice is heard from the speaker, repeatedly saying,

"ahm... ahm... Hello mic test, mic test, hello."

All the students on the campus laugh in unison, even Czerene, and Faye while Leigh can't help but frown; the voice seemed familiar.

"Calling the attention of Ms. Leigh Wilkinson. I'm sorry to surprise you. I can't think of another way to do this, so here it goes. Arm'.. (clears his throat), I ... Mr. Lexus Fletcher humbly ask, will you be my date for tonight?" a pleasant and soothing voice is heard on the whole campus, shocked everyone.

But so much Leigh that it leaves her mouth wide open as her two best friends giggling from the side keep shaking her arms. Leigh snaps in reality and gives out a smile while giggling and hiding her face to both of her palms.

The speaker becomes silent for a while as another speaker is talking; still, everybody's attention is on the speaker. No one dares to move because they don't want to destroy the perfect silence.

"Hello, ahm... I'm not good at these. I never really ask anyone for a date seriously and especially in this kind of way. It's all Lexus's idea..."

Everybody laughs but not Faye; she exactly knew who is the voice behind the speaker, and she is carefully feeling her heart, and it's thumping fast.

"I'm Raven Hamilton; Faye Chennester, be my date for tonight? And then a loud sigh is heard, "ah!

I'm nervous, hope I can't get no for an answer."

Everybody once again giggles; Faye is still stunned and dazzled at the same time by what she heard.

While Czerene panics, she knows who could be next, it makes her nervous that if Ken doesn't say her name, she will be disappointed. As once again, another voice in the speaker.

"Don't worry. I'm the last one already; don't expect there will be next to me after this..."

Everybody laughs, but Czerene is so focused on the voice in the speaker.

"Ahmm... I'm. I'm not a pleasant speaker so let's do it quick. Czerene, will you be my date for tonight? You probably knew who I' am but still, I felt the need to say my name; this is Kenneth."

Czerene is a quiet surprise. She never expects Ken would ask her on a date in that way.

She squealed and then let out a giggle, and three of them are blushing as they don't even dare to tease each other for this unexpected invitation.

Then a deep voice is heard once again.

"We'll see you at the ball night; we will be waiting for you at the gate. Exactly 8 pm we will be there waiting," and then the beep is heard once again.

All the students break the silence, and chatters and murmurs hear everywhere.

A lot of ladies are talking about how envious they are of Czerene, Leigh, and Faye.

The guys are so regretful; they missed the chance to date the three girls. The idea of Lexus is so smart, and how not anyone comes up to it.

As the three girls are overwhelmed; they feel like they are floating in the air as the three are walking back in their dorm house. There even a lot they need to prepare their hair, makeup, and dress.

Lexus has never been proud of himself as he thinks about this idea, inviting their dream date in such a romantic and less hassle way.

He smiles widely as his two best friends praise him, but their happiness soon fades as they grasp they will never know the answer of Faye, Leigh, and Czerene.

They will never know, but they are hoping for the best outcome.

They will be waiting for their dates.
