Deoxys: Reborn

[I'm still new to writing, so please cut me some slack! Thanks!] A life born through the enigmatic depths of the universe. A life extinguished by the inequities of the world. A life was reborn in a land foreign to its essence. Shall it remain a passive pebble, swept away by the relentless waves, or shall it rise to become the formidable force shaping the currents? Prospect of Richness and Ambush

"Ha ha ha, Deoxys, this is such a funny joke!" Erika laughed while glancing at the wooden board. However, the laughter died down when she remembered that Deoxys wasn't one to make jokes.

Her body trembled as she dropped the wooden board: "No way... Are we going to be poor forever?!" Erika exclaimed, tears threatening to fall from her eyes.

'There's no need to fret. Although it will take a much longer time, this place can still flourish.' Deoxys reassured and patted her head.

"Really?!" Erika's mood shifted drastically: "You're saying we will be rich!?"

'In a sense, ye...'

"WOO HOO!" Erika cheered excitedly while jumping up and down: "We're going to be rich!!"

As Erika celebrated loudly, the door of a house beside her opened. Emerging from the house was a short little girl; she rubbed her eyes sleepily and instinctively leaned against Deoxys's leg: "Noisy.... Can't sleep..."

"Luni!" Erika enthusiastically called and lifted the girl into the air: "Did you hear what Deoxys said? We're going to be rich!!"

As Luni could barely grasp what was happening, Erika began spinning in a circle, and the little girl flailed her arms in a panic.

Befitting of a cat, Luni hissed and agilely leapt towards Deoxys. Skillfully, Luni climbed onto Deoxys's back and to the alien's disbelief, the girl soon returned to sleep as if nothing had happened.

Meanwhile, not realising that Luni had already disappeared, Erika danced like a maniac, gradually attracting the attention of the rest of the villagers.

"Jeez, what are you screaming about sis?" Now, Jyn, another victim of the commotion, arrived with an annoyed expression.

"Brother!" Erika beamed and lunged at him.

However, Jyn easily dodged out of the way as Erika fell with a thud: "What in the god's name are you doing so early in the morning?"

"Jyn Jyn! Deoxys said we're going to be rich!" Erika shouted while hurriedly standing up.

"Is that true?" Jyn glanced at Deoxys with a questioning gaze.

'If you would let me finish, it will still take an extended amount of time for that to happen,' Deoxys explained: 'So we're not rich at this moment.'

Jyn sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose: "I thought so. Now, Erika, GO BACK TO SLEEP!"

Annoyed, Jyn grabbed the back of Erika's collar and dragged her away as she was still lost in her feeble dream. When they finally left, the morning returned to its peaceful tranquillity. The people awakened by Erika reluctantly returned to bed, and some treated her scream as an alarm call and began their daily chores.

Being left alone with a sleeping girl on its back, Deoxys silently touched the child's hands wrapped around its neck. Anxious to wake her, it gently shifted Luni into its arms so that the child could be more comfortable.

As Luni rested against the alien's chest, she subconsciously curled into a fetal position to keep herself warm, her face close to Deoxys's core. As Luni slept, Deoxys noticed her lips move as she mumbled in her sleep, and the alien lowered its head, curious as to what she was saying.

"Mmmm Mom..." Luni muttered with a small smile.

'Ah...' Deoxys's pupils trembled, and its limb holding Luni stiffened.

Unaware of Deoxys's train of thought, Luni slept peacefully. All this time, Deoxys thought that Luni was very attached to the alien because Deoxys was her friend. However, there seemed to be a lot more than that...

Not knowing how to feel, Deoxys carried Luni back to where she stayed. Inside, numerous children were sleeping together; every one of them had lost their parents.

Quietly floating above the group of the sleeping young beastmen, Deoxys moved to one of the vacant corners of the room and softly set Luni down. As Deoxys was going to leave, Luni suddenly grabbed onto Deoxys's limb while still asleep.

"No... Mom.... Don't go..." She mumbled, seemingly in distress.

Deoxys's heart trembled, and it sat next to the girl. To soothe her, Deoxys stroked her cheek: 'I'm sorry.... I'm not fit to be your mother, and I couldn't even take care of my own.'

Retracting its tentacle, Deoxys slipped out of the house and flew into the forest. Although it couldn't accept the role of becoming any of those children's parents, with a newfound determination, Deoxys swore that it would make them happy.

Using Teleport, Deoxys arrived at its last known location further from the village: 'I should search even further. The possibility that there's nothing in this forest is doubtful.'

'But... It appears I might need to handle the individual persistently tailing me...'

BOOOOM

Instantly, the ground before Deoxys ruptured as spikes made of wood erupted from the earth. Deoxys's pupils sharply analysed the movement of the attack and skillfully dodged around the spikes.

As Deoxys moved, another spike burst out, aiming for Deoxys's blind spot. However, the alien has already detected the movement in the ground and instantly cut the skewer in half.

*STAB*

Deoxys's eyes momentarily widened as the spikes that it dodged earlier came to life and moved, piercing the Pokemon in the back.

'Chlorokinesis?' Deoxys thought as it stared at the gaping hole in its stomach: 'No it's different....'

WHOOSH

Deoxys calmly observed as the surrounding trees began to move. Using their thick branches, like hammers, Deoxys was smashed into the ground. The Pokemon pushed itself off from the floor but was instantly impaled by the tree roots.

'Is this magic?' Deoxys muttered: 'How interesting... The attacker was able to blend in with the energy around this forest. I couldn't find them at all....'

'Very well... I will have to destroy everything until they reveal themself...'

BOOOOOOOM

Suddenly, the area erupted into a massive explosion as Deoxys compressed the condensed Psychic Energy in its heart and unleashed it in one go, generating an enormous shock wave. Instantly, all of the trees were uprooted, and in the centre was a crater as wide as several kilometres.

Standing in the middle, Deoxys's pupils darted from all directions, searching for the attacker that was caught up in its attack.

'There....' Deoxys's pupils shined with anticipation as it detected the faint presence: 'Found you....'

WHOOOSH

Transforming into its speed form, Deoxys dashed towards the location. When Deoxys was close, it saw a tall, slim figure slowly standing up, still recovering from damage. Its skin was pitch black, and Deoxys could perceive bones sticking from the skin, making the creature look malnourished.

Sharp dagger claws that can easily tear flesh, and the most unsettling feature was the skull of a deer it wore on its head. Immediately, Deoxys deduced the creature was definitely a form of dangerous monster capable of wielding magic.

A monster that can create a lot of damage.

A monster that can harm the beastmen and all the young children.

A monster that must be killed.

Coldness engulfed Deoxys's eyes, and a suffocating blood lust began to emit from its soul. Sensing Deoxys, the figure reacted and extended its arms.

BOOM

The ground shattered as more tree roots arrived to hinder Deoxys's charge, but none was fast enough to catch up: 'Now perish,'

Yet, before Deoxys could reach its target, it felt multiple presences moving to this location. Bursting through the earth, a pair of arms came out and tried to grab Deoxys. The alien avoided by flying higher into the air as the second attacker emerged from the hole.

It was a mole monster as giant as a car, and the creature shrieked at Deoxys while waving its claws. Suddenly, Deoxys turned its head at the sound of loud footsteps as a large animal pounced.

Deoxys recognized the monster; it was the Owl Bear from before, and the monster fearlessly leapt into the air.

'Enough games.' Deoxys spoke and immediately restricted three monsters using Psychics.

Gradually, hundreds of large rocks began to float around Deoxys and spun rapidly: 'The three of you are risks to my plans; die.'

Unleashing the deadly barrage, the three monsters watched with fear. However, just before the rocks reached them, they stopped...

'How peculiar...' Deoxys muttered.

Dozens of small animals ranging from birds, squirrels, and rats appeared from their hiding place. Deoxys already knew their presence hiding in the mud and tree trunks but were surprised that they showed themselves here.

The animals climbed on top of the three monsters and spread their limbs as if protecting them. The group of animals stared at the terrifying creature levitating before them, and just the mere bloodlust threatened to make them faint.

But just as they expected to be killed, the stones surrounding them stopped spinning. They glimpsed at Deoxys and sensed a new emotion extruding from the alien's eyes. It was the emotion of amusement.

'Please,' Deoxys answered: 'Humor me on why I should let you all live?'
