Policy

As she walked into the apartment building, Dia looked around.

"This place looks so tacky..." She muttered.

"Can I help you?" A voice called.

"Oh!" Dia cried.

"U-um yes please...!" She cried, spinning around.

Lumi who was seated at the secretary desk looked at her.

"What can I do for you?" She asked.

"Um...oh you know!" Dia stammered.

Lumi raised an eyebrow.

"I don't know, which is why I'm asking you." She said.

So blunt! Dia thought to herself.

"C-can I live here...?" Dia blushed.

"Huh?" Lumi asked.

"Um...well I'm afraid,"

"I-I'm a demon...!" Dia cried.

Lumi's stared at her.

"Okay, got it..." She said.

"Fortunately all of us here are, but in case a human is walking by the building..." She narrowed her eyes.

"Try not to say that too loud next time." Lumi said, letting out a sigh.

"Understood!" Dia cried, running towards the steps.

"H-hold it!" Lumi cried.

"Oh, right!" Dia spun around.

"I don't know my apartment number yet, duh!" She giggled.

"No, it's not that," Lumi began.

"We have a policy to abide by here, and that is we have to vote whether or not we allow you to live here." She said, crossing her arms.

"Stay here, I'll go alert the residents." She said, rising from her chair.

Dia watched as Lumi climbed the stairs.

Despite being traitors they still use one of Hell's systems...? She thought to herself.

"Hmph." She sighed.
