Testing the Blades

"Magnificent" blurted out the Aether Master, on seeing the Viscious looking Blades floating in Fia's hands as chaotic energy wafted around it

"Woah!, These are some cool looking blades, and particularly the chains, This is my Martial spirit, right? Awesome!" Fia instantly fell in love with blades the first instant she got a glimpse of it in her hand

"These Blades might probably be your Martial Spirit, it seems like a Martial spirit highly attributed with the darkness element, there may be other aspects to it, which can only be discovered by you as you progress further in your cultivation" instructed the Aether master, as he looked at the blades in all possible angles with fervor as if he was taking a mental picture of it before it disappears

"So do I qualify to attend your prestigious academy now?," Fia asked with a smug smile on her face, making the Aether Master look at the girl before him with a kind smile

"Yes, you are qualified to join our Serpent's Blaze academy, But remember even if you are blessed with a Fierce Martial Spirit, it does not mean you can be careless, Real strength comes from determination, hard work and gradual accumulation of Aether energy in your body while refining your Martial Spirit"

"Let's leave these matters for now, as you'll be learning these things in your class anyway, now let me give you a basic rundown of your situation,

First, as you are from the Outer Circle, you'll be given a certain number of tasks weekly like cleaning and doing chores, that you have to carry out promptly without slacking off, the Aether stones earned from these menial tasks will be deducted as your payment for your time spent in the academy,

Second, Resources will not be provided to you by the Academy, you earn them by fighting your way up in the ranks and other contests that will be held periodically,

Third, if you didn't reach Rank 9-Aether Weilder within the first week you'll be expelled, There's no exception for this rule

Last but not least, this is coming from me as you have the talent and good heart, Serpent's Blaze is only one of the beginner Academy in the outer circle for cultivating young talents for the Big 5 Academies inside Inner circle's, There's a lot of kids from each Academies in outer circle each year fighting for the opportunity to get admitted in the Big 5 Academies, so if you didn't work harder you'll be left behind in the dust

"Alright, Alright, but First can you tell me, how can I hold wield these in my hands," Fia asked as she pointed at the blades floating in her hands, with excitement apparent in her face as if she had disregarded the Aether Master's heartfelt instructions up until now

"I heard your instructions loud and clear sir and I really appreciated it, but for now, can you just tell me how can I use these" Fia explained herself and proceeded to pester him to answer her query, regarding how she should go about wielding her martial spirit right this instant

"Alright girl, you just have to will yourself in your mind to wield it, but be careful..." while he was going to saying something important he saw Fia disregard his words midway again as she proceeded to close her eyes to concentrate

Fia closed her eyes to and willed it within her mind as she imagined herself holding the two blades on each of her hands gripping them with her wrists, right when she did that something spectacular happened

The blades disappeared from her right hand's palm as if it didn't exist in the first place and the next second, magically red-Blood particles gathered on each of her hands to form the shape of the Viscious looking Blades as it took a solid form and appeared on each of her hands, making her clutching at the handles of the blades while a Black Abyss colored chains hung between her hands connecting both the blades in

The instant Fia held the blades in her hands, she felt something chaotic coursing through her fingers and wrists till her forearm, wreaking havoc, as if an invisible energy had taken over her arms she felt numb in wrists making her unable to release the blades from her hands, when she tried to shake the blades out of her hands, the distance between both the blades expanded and she was stunned to discover something happening in the middle portion of the black chain, The serially connected chain pieces multiplied adding more length to the chain,

Fia looked at it astonished and curious and so she decided to experiment with it and brought both blades closer and she observed the length of the chain getting shortened, The scene happening before her Fascinated her so much so she decided to play with it, as she repeatedly brought the blades nearer to each other and extended, observing the reactions in each situation

Out of nowhere, The Blades in her hands vanished into particles and she felt something throb within her, all of a sudden she felt dizzy and exhaustion wash over her making her weak on her knees, tipping her balance off and she knelt down the floor and breathed hardly

"This is what happens when you exhaust yourself of the measly little Aether energy in your body," said the Aether Master as he placed a hand behind Fia's back and injected his Aether energy inside her body, to stabilize her situation

sighed the aether master as he said "Honestly, I don't know how your gonna survive in this Academy Kid, you better not get killed on the first day"

"G-Gotcha" Fia blurted out while kneeling down, as sweat profusely poured out of her
