25: Appearance of Giyu and shinobu

"i didn't think you would make it before me and shinobu" a black haired figure appeared, average height and wore a red and yellow-green haori, itsuki knew who it was, but he didn't say anything.

"shinobu? she came here as well?" itsuki asked, although he already knew the answer.

"yea, Lord Ubuyashiki informed us to come here, but shinobu recommended you since you were closer to the mountain than us, i just didn't think you would be this strong" giyu said before he turned quiet, he seemed to have a certain level of respect for itsuki after witnessing him kill a lower moon demon so easily.

after everything calmed down, tanjiro introduced itsuki to giyu, which giyu was suprised to find out that itsuki also stayed with tanjiro on sagiri mountain with ukorodaki and trained by himself.

of course giyu didn't say anything about itsuki's strange breathing style, or perhaps he didn't even care.

they all watched as rui's body wandered around, but slowly turning into dust as he dissipated into the sky.

the rest of his lifeless body fell towards tanjiro and his sister, even itsuki felt the amount of regret and grief which rui felt, all of them did, but rui was a demon, this was how cruel the world was, even to demons who could only survive off human blood.

giyu only gave a pep-talk to tanjiro about how he shouldn't feel pity for demons who have devoured humans, itsuki could only watch, this guy was even colder than him.

"shinobu and i split up around there, we should find her easily" giyu pointed towards a distance but before he could say anything else.

a group of manifested butterfly's appeared around him, giyu instantly pulled out his sword and blocked the incoming attack.

bang!

the sound of metal clashing rang out, a figure wearing a beautiful haori appeared.

"giyu, why did you stop me? aren't you the one who said to kill all demons we come across?" shinobu giggled as she landed and raised her sword, it seemed she had aimed for nezuko.

"this is why no one likes you" she said once more, with that same beautiful smile.

"i- i am not disliked by people" giyu said calmly, shocking shinobu.

"are you sure? or is it that you still dont know yet?" shinobu retorted as they went back and forth like an old couple.

"take your sister and run, tanjiro" giyu said calmly, he was ready to face shinobu to protect tanjiro and nezuko it seemed.

"tomioka, this is against the corps rules" shinobu said in a gloomy tone, even so she still had a smile on her face.

itsuki was standing infront of a tree, his dark haori making him blend in, but he watched the quick battle between giyu and shinobu as they exchanged sword attacks.

"a battle between hashira, but they seem to be playing around" itsuki smiled, it had taken him quiet a while to subdue inosuke, this bastard was planning on screaming and revealing himself.

"shut up and just watch" itsuki smacked him in the head, causing inosuke to try to struggle even more.

swoosh!!

shinobu took off like the wind and jumped away, which giyu immediately gave chase, the insect hashira was after tanjiro and nezuko who had already run atleast a hundred meters away.

"stay here" itsuki said to inosuke, he took a different route before dashing off, pushing his physical abilities to the max, he was even far stronger than demons physically, the hashira's couldn't compare to him.

boom!!

like a sonic boom, a crater appeared infront of inosuke as itsuki took off, inosuke just stood still, he nearly pissed his pants, he calmed down after placing his back behind the wall..

"monster" this was all he could say.

as tanjiro was running, a figure was seen descending through the air, wearing a white haori and some white boots.

her foot descending towards tanjiro.

"ice flow"

a cold breeze swept her out of the sky before her attack could land, itsuki had attacked from dozens of meters away, giyu held back shinobu so he made it here first.

"who is it?" the young girl said in shock as she balanced herself, was there still someone else apart from giyu?

"although i want to see nezuko's cute little form, ill have to stop you right here" itsuki descended, his sword behind his back as he calmly walked forward.

seeing his tall figure and his demon slayer uniform the little girl pulled out her sword and got ready to fight.

"as a fellow demon slayer, don't stop me, this is between the corps" she said as she rushed up with her sword, swinging it sideways.

"itsuki" tanjiro noticed itsuki's figure once more , causing him to feel even more grateful.

"tanjiro stop running just wait right there" itsuki said calmly, he really hated getting into the plot like this, it didn't make things fun, after-all even if he didn't help nothing harmful would have happened to nezuko.
