3. Dungeon and Monster Creation

It's been 6 hours since we came out from that shrine.

Lucia perception as an S-rank monster is very sharp.

She can sense her surrounding up to 10 km with her as the center.

With the help of her perception, we were able to find a mid sized human city.

By planning to use that human city as our DP source, I decided to build my dungeon near there, about 20 km away from the city.

While thinking about that, I got reminded with the quest that I got after I got out from the shrine.

Task : Build your dungeon!

Requirements : Build at least 2 rooms (0/2), 3 traps (0/3), and 1 monster summon pool (0/1)

Reward: F-rank Giant Black Rat Summon Pool , 1.000 QP

The reward was actually a monster summon pool.

I can already considered that mission done as it is an easy mission to do, so with that summon pool in bag, I now have 2 monster summon pool.

Even if it's only an F-rank, it still count as free monster so there's no demerit for me here.

After we found the city, Lucia told me to wait and hide while she will sneak inside the city to find some information regarding the surrounding area.

Her charm skill is very useful in this kind of operation.

It didn't took long for her to obtain the necessary information.

It only took her 10 minutes to gather the information.

According to all the guards she has charmed, this city name is Karam city.

Karam city was one of the 5 mid sized city under Garus Kingdom.

This city fortunately located quite far from the capital city, that's mean there is a low chance for a holy knight of the holy church to appear here.

There may be some low level priest but they are insignificant in the church hierarchy.

The holy church exist in this world.

They regard us, demon lords, as their mortal enemy.

They follow the Goddess of Life, Edith, who is the exact opposite of the Demon God that the demon lords follow.

Moving on, to north was a desert that leads to another country.

To west, the area there were covered by mountains.

Lastly from south to east of the city was a huge and wide forest, by the way I and Lucia came from the East side.

There's another important thing to note from the information and that is about the existence of other dungeons near this city.

In total there 2 other dungeons that located near Karam city.

One of them was a forest type dungeon located 60 km away to the east.

As for the other one, it was a desert type dungeon located 90 km away to the north.

The closest city from here is Horan City that located 250 km away from Karam city to the south.

Right now I am standing 20 km away on the south side from the city.

After thinking for a long time and listening what Lucia have in mind, I decided to build my dungeon inside the forest area.

The existence of other dungeons respectively to the north and to the east of the city also play a huge role in my decision to build my dungeon south from the city.

I searched for some clear area first and with Lucia help, it didn't took that much time.

"Master, are you going to build the dungeon here?"(Lucia)

"Yeah, this place is safe enough for our dungeon to hide."(Vestia)

"Fu fu fu, I can't wait for our new home to be build."(Lucia)

"Be more patient a little, I will build it now."(Vestia)

I took out the Dungeon Heart out from my inventory.

I looked at the crystal clear cube on my hand.

This is my Dungeon Core.

I held it tightly on my chest as this cube that I held in my right hand is actually the core of my life as a demon lord.

I have thought about it a lot about where should I build my dungeon, after all once I established my dungeon, I would forever be unable to move it somewhere else.

Alright, let's start this.

"Construct!"(Vestia)

I uttered the keywords for the Dungeon Heart to work and it start to shone brightly.

A platform then suddenly raised from the ground and the cube planted itself on the platform.

Stone walls then start to rise from the ground until it completely cut me and Lucia who stood beside me off from the outside world.

Those stone walls actually created a room exclusive for the cube place only.

The room is automatically placed on the last room of the lowest floor.

As I only have one floor inside my dungeon now, that means I can only build 4 rooms as the last room is occupied by it.

The first floor is located on the surface, while the floor that will be build next in the future will be located directly bellow the first floor which mean that it would be located underground.

I took my Book of Creation and start to build my dungeon.

I opened the book and found more pages than before.

Those pages are filled with some building structures and traps.

I decided to build the first room as a forest, and the second room as a rocky mountain area with steep steps all around the route to pass it.

As for the third room, I chose to build a simple torture chamber.

I can build traps inside the first and second room but I can't do build a trap inside the third room as the third room is considered as one of the special room.

One room can be filled with maximum 5 traps and 3 monster summon pool.

In total the forest area and rocky mountain area cost me 500 DP each which make it 1000 DP as a total.

As for the torture chamber, it cost me 1000 DP.

It is used to torture other living being, making them easily drown into despair.

For people who got tortured in the torture chamber room, the DP I can obtained from them will be tripled.

After building those rooms, I was left with 3000 DP left.

With those DP, I spent 600 DP to build 2 pitfall traps that cost me 100 DP each, and 1 poison mist trap that cost me 400 DP for one and that left me with 2400 DP left to spare.

I built both pitfalls trap inside the second room while the poison mist trap was built on the first room.

With them done, I only need to place my Arok summon pool here, and I will finish the quest and obtained my second summon pool.

I then took out the token to build the Arok Den, and then placed it inside the second room.

After I successfully build my dungeon, I heard a *ding* sound inside my head.

Requirements : Build at least 2 rooms (✓), 3 traps (✓), and 1 monster summon pool (✓)

Reward: F-rank Giant Black Rat Summon Pool

After I read the system words, I immediately opened my inventory and found the Giant Black Rat summon pool token there.

I quickly build it inside the first room and now I have 2 monster summon pool in total.

I can be said already ahead from my peers.

But just before continue to check my summoned monsters, I heard aothe *ding* sound inside my head.

Task : First Monster Making.

Requirements : Combine at least 2 or more S-cards to create one new monster. (0/1)

Reward: 2 random S-cards, 500 QP

I look at the new quest requirements and then used the Starter Card Pack.

I used it immediately and it gave me five different S-cards.

Those cards contain the attributes of [Beast], [Light], [Rain], [Fly], and [Thunder] and strangely three of those cards rank are S-rank.

The [Beast],[Thunder], and [Light] are the S-ranked cards, while the other two cards are all A-ranked cards.

I then use my power to construct my own card as well.

"Construct Card"(Vestia)

Upon saying the word, a card with a storm picture appeared on my raised right hand.

I checked it's rank and it shows that the [Storm] card I just created is also S-rank.

Since I'm still newly born, I can create my own card right away, and after that I need to wait another 15 days before I can create another one.

I should explain first that a demon lord created cards have only a small chance to turned out as S-rank card.

A demon lord created card rank rates was usually around C-ranks, while they can get B-ranks card some other times, and A-ranks card every half a year or longer.

A demon lord original created card lowest rank is D-rank, while the highest it the S-rank.

That's why I was shocked when I see that I have 4 S-ranked S-cards in my hand.

I can feel a strong magic power coming out of these bunch of S-cards.

When I help those cards, their information appeared in front of my sight in the form of text.

[Beast] Card - grant the characteristics of a Beast to the monster about to be created. Can improve the endurance and agility of the created monster.

[Light] Card - The created monster will have more affinity to the light attribute magic. There also a chance for the created monster to be a light attribute monster.

[Rain] Card - Grant the created monster affinity with rain weather and water magic. There is a chance for the created monster to gain an extra skill to control the ran weather.

[Fly] Card - Grant the created monster the ability to fly and improve the created monster agility.

[Thunder] Card - Grant the created monster the ability to use thunder and improve the created monster agility and dexterity.

[Storm] Card - Grant the created monster affinity with storm weather and the power to wield storm magic. Improve the created monster agility and magic power.

While pondering about what kind of combination should I use, suddenly I got a gut feeling to combine four of the six card in my hands.

I was planning to use only 2 cards just for the sake of completing the quest, after all I still don't have any knowledge about those monster combination.

It would be great if I can gather more information first when the banquet begin, but it seems my gut is telling me to do otherwise.

I don't know why but I got a strong feeling that the result will be a good one, so I trusted my gut feeling and took those four S-cards while putting the rest two S-cards back in my inventory.

"Master, are you going to combine a new monster now? I don't think that's a good idea as we don't know any good combination yet and even with a known combination, the created monsters are usually more random than we thought. There is also a chance where even with the same combination, the same creature can be made again but sometimes they will have some differences in their skills. I suggest to wait until the demon lords banquet begin."(Lucia)

"I know Lucia, but I have this feeling that this combination will turn great and I will trust my feeling."(Vestia)

"If master has made his mind then please do it with courage. This far, I can see that master have a very good luck so I will also believe in master."(Lucia)

Hearing Lucia cheers, I gained more courage than before.

I then muttered the keyword.

"Combine!"

And then a blue screen appeared before me, they have four slots that can be filed with S-cards.

This time I put the four chosen cards there.

Those cards are [Beast], [Fly], [Thunder], and [Storm].

When I finished placing all four cards there, I then started the combining process.

a dazzling light then illuminate the core room, blinding my eyes.

After a while, the light started to fade away and I can see again.

There, I saw the scene where all four of the cards started to combine into one.

The process took about 10 minutes.

After that, the light started to dim out and thus a new monster was born.

There stood a giant beast with blue thick furs covering all of its body.

It stood on all four of his legs and about three times taller than me.

It has a long white bluish long hair that floats around it's body, different from it's blue colored fur.

It have a pair of yellow pair of sharp and scary eyes and also a scary amount of sharp teeth.

There some thunder clacking around it's body.

Not wasting any more time, I opened the Book of Creation and look at it's information.

This monster stats was actually much higher than I thought, even higher than the succubus empress.

I should stop getting shocked over something like this from now on.

My S-rank luck seems to work on everything.

I then read out the beast race, it's called as Stellar Lycaon.
