2. Basic Knowledge of a Demon Lord

First she explain about the Dungeon Heart.

The Dungeon Heart is the core of my territory or dungeon that I will build in the future.

I need to guard it from any harm as if they got destroyed, then I will lost all my power as a demon lord.

I actually won't die but I won't be able to create monsters anymore while all the monsters I've created so far will disappear, along with the dungeon.

I will also lose my unique ability to use the power of [Storm] as well all on. I may still have my life, but for a Demon Lord, it's the same as dead.

I can only be qualified as a demon lord when I have my own dungeon.

When I want to create my dungeon, I will have to put the dungeon heart to the place I designated first and then use the Book of Creation to create the environment or buildings that I want for my dungeon.

A dungeon can have many floors inside it, and each floor can have up to the maximum of 5 rooms.

the rooms can be designed with many environment such as a forest area, an active volcano area, or even water area.

All of those rooms can be created using DP.

The floors also can be created using the DP but the cost to create another floor is the most expensive one.

The Book of Creation can be used to create traps, structure, and monsters, but to create them I need DP or Dungeon Point.

There is two ways to obtain DP which is to kill other living beings or using human dark emotions such as fear, sorrow, anger, and other dark emotions.

The usual demon lords build their dungeon and entice humans to enter their dungeon by using many kind of treasure.

Some made their dungeon as easy as possible with low ranked treasures for the humans so there will be a stable visit for humans.

Some made a very hard dungeon that is hard for the humans but of course there will be a great treasure awaits for them.

While it is a good strategy to get a stable income of DP, if one dungeon actually got breached by the humans, they will also lose their life as well.

There also another easy way to get human dark emotions and that is to kidnap them and torture them inside your territory as DP can only be obtained inside one territory.

But this way also has a drawback which will only make the humans considered the said dungeon to be to dangerous and there will be two ends for them, which is the human country sent their strongest fighters to destroy the dungeon or the country will make a ban for the said dungeon.

But mostly DP is used to make traps and structure for the dungeons as making monsters using DP will make a demon lord bankrupt as it's cost is to high but not worth with it's rank.

Most demon lords only use their Monster Summon Pool to create their troops as it can be used for free even though there is a limit quota summon.

F-D rank Monster Summon Pool can create about 4-10 monster each day.

As for C rank and higher rank Monster Summon Pool can only create one monster each day or even on monster each every few days.

But the point here is using the summon pool to create monsters, the demon lords doesn't need to spend any of their precious DP.

Moving on, after I have my own dungeon, I can start creating my own monsters and this is where the cards role appear.

The Cards is actually an ingredient to make a monster and called the Summon Card or S-Card for short.

To make a monster, you need to combine at least two cards and a maximum of four cards of different attributes.

After the said monster is created, I can create the same monster but with two ranks lower with DP or Dungeon Point.

For example if I somehow create a D-rank Arok by combining cards, then I can create the same monster lineage with two ranks lower which is the F-rank Gray Wolf using DP.

A demon lord can only create a monster using DP if they already create the said monster by combining cards only.

They cannot buy the same monster that they can create from their Monster Summon Pool.

There are many ways to obtain S-Card.

I can find them as a drop from killing wild monsters, or I can rob other cards by waging war with other demon lords.

It also can be found in random places like humans libraries, in a sunken treasure chest, and even unexpected place like inside a bird nest or bellow a fallen leaf.

The one who spread them are the Demon God himself, and as for the reason, surprisingly he gave the answer for this act of his as his own personal interest and entertainment.

Those S-Card that can be found in the wild are usually low ranked S-Cards and the probability to obtain a high ranked one was very low.

The demon lords themselves also can create their own cards which contained their unique power.

As I am the demon lord of [Storm], I can create my own [Storm] S-Card.

A demon lord can create their own S-card only once every 15 days, or twice a month.

Moving on, the Arok Den is actually one of many kind Monster Summon Pool. It can be use to summon the D-rank monster for free everyday.

Lucia said that all newly born demon lords will have one random monster summon pool that can spawn monster between E rank and D rank.

That's why she said that I'm lucky because I got a D rank monster summon pool.

The ranks for those summon pools goes from F-rank to S-rank with the S-rank the most difficult to obtain to the point where it would almost reach the word impossible to obtain.

The Monster Summon Pool structure can only be placed and build inside one territory only, so a demon lord need to build their dungeon first so that they can use their monster summon pool.

The Monster Summon Pool is actually also one of the most important structure for a demon lord because without it, a demon lord won't be able to increase it's troops.

Monster Summon Pool can be founded in the bewilderness, in some random places, and can be obtained from the Demon God himself as a form of reward.

With that, Lucia finished her explanation to me.

"Now that is the basic knowledge for a demon lord, do you get all that?"(Lucia)

"Yeah, I got it. Thanks Lucia"(Vestia)

Fortunately her explanation was easy to understand so I can catch all of it quickly.

"Since you already get the basic down, now let's continue and get ready to build your dungeon."(Lucia)

"Then, where do we start?"(Vestia)

"Then first, took out your Book of Creation and checked how many DP do you have right now."(Lucia)

"Didn't you say that I can only use it if I have build my dungeon?"(Vestia)

"You are not wrong as it is the truth, but at least even without your dungeon, you can still use the Book of Creation to check how much DP do you have at the moment."

"So that's how it is. One more question, how do I took it out from the inventory?"(Vestia)

"Just do the same thing when you opened your status and inventory."(Lucia)

Following her words, I opened my inventory and think about taking out The Book of Creation.

Then a second later, a massive book made of parchments appeared floating in front of me.

The book emanates a bluish glow that makes it look quite majestic and mysterious.

When I opened the book, I can only look at one page and it only contain the DP that I have now.

Right now I have 5000 DP.

I don't know if that is enough to build my dungeon.

"Lucia, I have 5000 DP here."(Vestia)

When I said that I have 5000 DP inside my inventory, Lucia gawked and then her expressions change to shock for a second and then changed again into a face full of smiles and happiness.

"What?!?! 5000? Oh my... I'm glad that I was chosen to be your subordinate."(Lucia)

"What's wrong? Why are you reacting like that?"(Vestia)

"Sorry master, there's nothing wrong. In fact, it is something good for you. Well the initial DP that a newly born demon lord can have is actually randomize between 2000 for the minimum and 5000 as the maximum. Since you have 5000 DP then that means you hit a jackpot as it is a rare case for a newly born demon lord to get that amount."(Lucia)

"I see, then do you think 5000 is enough to build my dungeon now?"(Vestia)

"Of course! 2000 DP is actually already enough to build a dungeon but the things that can be bought is very limited, but since you have 5000 DP master, even if you build your dungeon full with all the rooms bought within the first floor, you will have some DP left."(Lucia)

"I reckon that's a good thing."(Vestia)

"Of course that is! With more DP saved up, you can save to build another floor later on for the dungeon."(Lucia)

"I get it then. I can see that we can't build the dungeon here as we are still inside a building right now. Let's go outside first and then see out surrounding to make the decision where to next."(Vestia)

I said to Lucia while I put in the Book of Creation back to my inventory.

"It seems master is already starting to get used to this. Let me go first master, as I am the only monster that can guard you right now."(Lucia)

"Alright, lead the way then. By the way I haven't asked about your race yet."(Vestia)

"Ah! Forgive me master, I forgot to inform you about me. Can you take out the Book of Creation again? I need to drop my blood to it to bind me as your subordinate. Usually you don't have to do this to your monsters as when you use the cards to combine them, it will be automatically saved inside the Book of Creation. It also work the same way with the monster summon pool."(Lucia)

"So that's mean the Book of Creation also work as a book of information as well?"(Vestia)

I asked while I took out the book once again.

"Yes master, you got it right. Now here we go, and it's done."(Lucia)

Lucia then bite her thumb and put her bleeding thumb on top of the book.

Then somehow the blood was absorbed by the book and then something similar to a card flew out from Lucia to the book.

After that I opened the book once more and there is one extra page that I can see.

Before there is only the page that shows my DP, now there are two pages inside the book.

It seems that every time a new information is collected inside the book, it will automatically form a new page for it, how magical.

I then take a look at the information contained inside the second page.

Those stats are crazily high, unlike my status.

"You are an S-rank monster Lucia?"(Vestia)

"Yes! Are you surprised master?"(Lucia)

"I would be lying if I said that I'm not. Didn't you say that things that have the S-rank is almost impossible to have?"(Vestia)

"Fu fu fu... That's why I called you lucky before, master. After all I, an S-rank monster was actually given to you. Do you know that there are only 3 cases before where a demon lord got an S-rank monster as their first subordinate? Now do you find yourself lucky, master~"(Lucia)

"I guess I am. From your words, then what rank does the other demon lords get for their first subordinate?"(Vestia)

"It was actually randomized as well, but the minimum rank for them is at least C-ranked monster as a monster with the minimum intelligent to speak start at the C-rank. the role for the first subordinate is to guide the new demon lords after all, not to fight for them. Well fortunately I am strong enough to fight at the front line. Don't you think I'm amazing master~?"(Lucia)

"Yeah, you are."(Vestia)

"Then don't you think this subordinate of yours need to be awarded with something for being amazing? With... your... essence maybe... master~~?"(Lucia)

I don't think that's something hard to do, more like won't it be more pleasurable to do it with a succubus?

"I don't mind, but let's search for a place to build the dungeon first."(Vestia)

"Fu fu fu... As you wish then, master~ I will look forward to it then~"(Lucia)
