Disappearing Fairy

Alex followed the group from {Stealth}. He was currently deep in thought about the best way to annoy the three wizards without fighting them. An actual battle would be over too quickly.

'Hmm, from the looks of it, they are following Gajeel's nose to where ever Lucy is. I could pull the "disappearing Lucy" act again, but if she vanished entirely from his senses for too long they would think she was no longer in the city. Hmmm. How to do this? How to do this... OH! That might work!' Alex stopped his internal monologue when he got an Idea.

Letting himself fall back from the group, while still keeping track of them with magic, he set about creating 2 items. The first was a flat disk made of metal that was big enough for 2 people to stand on at the same time.

The second was a small object that fit snuggly in the palm of a hand. With the two objects in hand, he started to enchant them as a pair.

The disk would act as a 'teleport return beacon' while the small object would be the catalyst to activate the teleport spell.

His plan was pretty simple, Gajeel and his party would most likely succeed in capturing Lucy and when they did he would place the return beacon at her house and follow them to almost the limit of his hastily put together teleport spell.

Currently it was only about 1Km, but that would be more than enough to keep her scent in Gajeels range while also being very frustrating for the kidnappers.

He wasn't worried about the guild being over ran by Phantom while he was having his fun as Phantom had been forced to transform into the super mage mode.

From what Alex knew, they were unable to fire the Jupiter cannon in this mode, and with both Master Makarov and Erza being in full health, they would never let it cast the 'Abyss Break' spell.

That alone would have made them at very even strengths, but with the upgrades he had done to Natsu and Gray, it put the odds overwhelmingly in FairyTails favor.

Knowing this, Alex was content to just enjoy himself while keeping Lucy out of Phantoms grasp for too long.

When Alex caught up to the group, after putting the return beacon in Lucy's house, he noticed they had just captured Lucy. If the very shiny dome, that seemed to have someone banging on it from the inside, was any indication they had also beaten and trapped Loki.

Gajeel and his two companions, quickly headed for the lake while trying to stay out of sight and away from the fighting.

Too bad for them that they had already been discovered.

Alex was following close enough that he could grab Lucy the moment they reached his desired distance. At 850m he acted.

Drawing the unconscious Lucy into his {Stealth} domain, while using magic to remove her from the tall dark-skinned mans shoulder, brought the group to a screeching halt.

"What the hell you idiot?!" The woman yelled, clearly confused. "What did you do to the girl?!" Gajeel shouted in rage.

"I didn't do anything to her!" the man said in his defense. "I was simply carrying her and then. Poof! No more girl." he followed up.

Gajeel was about to punch the man when the girl came to his defense. "Could this be the item the master was talking about? Juvia and Sol also mention she disappeared on them too." she said, forcing the group to remember their mission briefing.

"Yeah, but I already removed her Spirit keys, and she didn't have any other magic items on her person" Boze, the dark skinned man, said.

At this point, Alex had already put the charged teleport controller into Lucy's hand and used her thumb to press the button.

He had also used a sleeping spell to keep her unconscious and a protection enchant to keep them from abusing her. He didn't want her to wake up and ruin all his entertainment but that didn't mean he was gonna let her suffer physically from these sadistic peoples potential anger.

He didn't teleport with her, but he had placed the beacon under her bed so she wouldn't have a rough landing in her unconscious state.

Alex eyed his unwilling performers having a small argument before Gajeel stopped, sniffed the air, then smiled widely. "I found her, and she is near" he said, before heading in the direction of Lucy's apartment.

When the Trio started for Lucy's apartment at full speed, Alex took to the sky in order to beat them there, he needed to take the beacon and controller before the trio got here so they wouldn't be able to figure out how she was doing it.

It didn't take them long to get there and they immediately split up to cover all escapes, this proved to be unnecessary when Gajeel kicked in her bedroom door and found her 'asleep' on the bed.

"I got her" he called out simply to his partners. "Search this place, we need to figure out how she is moving like this while being unconscious" he commanded when the two others joined him inside.

They searched with no luck and even tried waking the girl up to ask/torture the information out of her. Upon realizing she had some sort of protection spell on her, they got wary of their surrounding and proceeded with a little more caution.

Not finding another wizard and unable to locate any magical artifacts they reluctantly left with the girl. They took the same route as before and Alex made Lucy 'Disappear' in the exact same spot as before.

The trio where again incredibly annoyed because Gajeel could tell she was back at the same place as before. The cycle repeated three more times, each time searching unsuccessfully to find the item and taking a different route to escape.

The fifth time being back to the small apartment, Gajeel was so mad that he started destroying the place, causing the landlady to come screaming up a storm and berating all three of them. Saying they were going to have to pay for damages and she was going to report them.

Gajeel was so mad at this point that he just knocked her out and carried on destroying the place. They had already spent too much time here and nobody wanted to face Master Jose's Ire.

Once the apartment was rubble, they headed out again with the still unconscious girl.

Knowing he couldn't have Lucy appear back her in all the rubble, Alex put the beacon under one of the empty infirmary beds within Fairytails guildhall. This would be the last disappearing act and effectively end his 'show'.

The trio from Phantom had wide, victorious smiles on their faces as they made it past the 1km mark from the broken apartment. This was further than they had gotten before and it gave them no shortage of satisfaction.

"Finally!" Gajeel shouted out. "I should have just destroyed the damn building to begin with" He finished.

"That was incredibly annoying, but we should be a little quieter. This route puts us closer to the Fairies guild than all the others we tried" Sue informed thoughtfully.

"Not like that really matters anymore. From the sound of the fighting, they wouldn't have anyone to stop us" Gajeel snorted disdainfully.

He was a little annoyed that the rest of the guild hadn't already wiped out the fairies, but was also happy as he needed a way to vent some anger once they finished the mission.

Alex waited until the group had made it back to the giant and was following them closely. He wanted Jose to be present for the closing act.

When the group made it to Jose's throne room, they knew right away that he wasn't happy. He had expected to wipe out the fairies easily with his giant, but nothing was going well.

The power source that let the giant cast magic was linked to his strongest fighters 'the element four', but they had gotten cocky and confronted a group of mages from Fairytail, that had made it onto the giant, and lost.

He could link himself with the giant and still wipe out the city, but that would kill the girl too and make this all pointless.

His attitude changed right around when he saw Gajeel's team approach with the unconscious Heartfilia heiress. "You are finally back! What took so long? I was starting to get worried you had failed too" Jose said as a greeting.

"We ran into some trouble with the stupid disappearing act. It didn't seem to be linked to an item and only stopped after we destroyed the building she kept going back too" Gajeel replied, anger still radiating off him.

"Hmm, Good. There are still some pests skulking around my guild hall, go and deal with them" Jose commanded, dismissing the trio.

"Yes Sir." Gajeel said darkly, a sinister smile on his face.

As the trio left, Jose smiled darkly towards the girl at his feet before he started laughing.

Grabbing the mic that was linked to the loud speaker of his giant, he addressed Fairytail.

"I have captured the Heartfillia girl, and now it is time to end this little game. I will show my appreciation to you all for entertaining me by wiping you from the face of this earth." he started.

Jose went full 'villain mode' and started monologuing about his goal for attacking and even who is target was. He was getting to the part about not being able to handle the fact Fairytail was seen as Phantoms equal when Alex decided it was time.

Activating the beacon a final time, Lucy disappeared from the watchful eye of Jose Porla. "Where the hell did she go!?!" Jose shouted mid monologue. He was so surprised that he hadn't bothered to shut off the mic.

At the same time, in the Fairytail infirmary, Wendy and Carla were doing their jobs as quickly and efficiently as possible. Being one of the few people alive whom knew healing magic, it was only natural for her to be here.

They were both startled when Lucy literally appeared out of thin air on one of the empty beds.

"Lucy!" they both shouted as they approached the bed. Their shouts grabbed the attention of Mira who was currently in the other room watching the fight helplessly.

"How did she end up here?" Mira asked curiously before sending Carla to tell the master what happened.

"I am not sure. But the protection and sleep spell on her definitely came from Alex. I would recognize his magic anywhere." Wendy said as she tried to heal Lucy.

"Ever since their guild fell into the water, we have been unable to find or contact him. He must have been keeping a low profile in their base to find out what Phantoms goal was." Mira said, as realization hit her.

Noticing Wendy shake her head and stop examining Lucy, Mira couldn't help but ask "What is wrong? Can't you heal her?"

"It's not that I cant heal her, but she isn't injured." Wendy replied.

"Why wont she wake up then?" Mira asked worriedly. "I don't have the power or knowledge to remove Alex's spells from her." Wendy said sadly. "But they aren't harmful, so it shouldn't be too bad." she followed up.

"Don't worry about it too much. Alex is very powerful, so it's only natural you shouldn't be able to undo his spells" Makarov said as he approached the three girls, apparently having caught the last of their conversation .

""Master!"" Mira and Wendy called out.

Makarov approached Lucy and made short work of the two spells Alex had placed on her. She awoke with a start shortly after.

"What!? Huh! W-where am I?" she panicked before noticing the worried faces of her guildmates.

"You are in the guild infirmary. Can you tell us the last thing you remember?" Makarov asked worriedly, needing to figure out what happened to his 'child'.

"I got ambushed by a group of three Phantom members. They said something about me being their target before Loki showed up to help me." Lucy started.

"LOKI! Where is he? The last thing I remember before blacking out was that he was loosing and got trapped. Has he made it back?" Lucy asked in a panic.

"I haven't seen him since the fighting started." Mira said sadly.

"Where did the fight take place? I will send someone to go see if he is alright" Makarov asked in a concerned tone.

"A warehouse near my apartment, I'm pretty sure it got damaged in the fight so it should be easy to spot." Lucy said, before tears started to fall. "It is all my fault he got hurt!" she mumbled before the full waterworks started.

"Don't cry child. That is what it means to be a family. We share each others love and pain. It was his choice to help you and I'm willing to bet, any of the other members would have done the same in his position." Makarov said with a smile, Happy his 'kids' were looking out for one another.

Their little chat was interrupted by a loud explosion coming from the Giant. Makarov could also feel a massive amount of dark mana start to accumulate around the giant. "No! Jose wouldn't dare!" he said cryptically in a panicked tone before quickly leaving the guild.

He knew Erza and her team were on the giant as they had stopped the Abyss Break spell, but now it seemed like Jose was not playing around.

The amount of magic Jose was gathering would be enough to kill any of his members currently on the giant and he couldn't allow that. He needed to end this, and knew just the spell to do so.

After Alex had sent Lucy to the guildhall he had made his way around Phantoms base. He wanted to explore the place and see if he could run into Natsu or any of his guildmates currently on the giant.

During his exploration he found a very, very beaten and bruised Sol, half planted in the ground around a bunch of statues made from earth magic.

The statues were of a little girl that looked remarkably similar to a young Mira. Though he knew them to be Lisanna. 'Huh, so this encounter still happened eh?' Alex said internally.

"Though I wonder what triggered his full take-over this time? As Mira wasn't captured." he mused quietly.

He could see the Giant foot and fist prints all around Sol, and could easily guess Elfman had achieved the full take-over.

Shrugging to himself, he kept moving around the base. He found Totomaru and Juvia on his travels, both unconscious with scorch marks around Totomaru and Ice around Juvia.

'Huh, these fights also happened. The locations are different and seems to have been a little one-sided, but still amusing that it happened all the same.' Alex chuckled at his thoughts.

He wasn't able to find Aria, but could sense his guild members not too far away from him.

As he was going to head in their direction, one of the wall beside him was completely destroyed as a battered Gajeel was thrown through it. "That was for hurting the members of Fairytail!" Natsu shouted righteously.

"Grr.. You talk too much Salamander!" Gajeel growled as he dusted himself off and charged back at Natsu.

Natsu and Gajeel exchanged Insults with each other as they fought, Natsu clearly had the upper hand until Gajeel ate some metal he found in the rubble they were causing.

The fight became much more even after that and would have sided in Gajeels favor when Boze and Sue joined.

Elfman had chosen the moment the two phantom Wizards tried to attack Natsu's back to appear from a hole in the ceiling in his miniature beast-soul form.

He then proceeded to beat the two wizards unconscious, without much effort at all, before leaving through a different hole he made in the wall, probably going to search for more punching bags.

Alex didn't stay to finish watching the fight between Natsu and Gajeel as he started feeling a massive amount of mana being concentrated at the center of the giant. He knew that was where Jose's throne room was and started getting a bad feeling about what was going to happen.

'Damnit! I should have beaten him to a pulp while I was there instead of letting it get to this point!' He thought as he was mentally kicking himself.

He was pretty far away from the throne room and it was taking him longer to get back there than he thought it would.

He was halfway there when he felt Master Makarov appear in the throne room, already channeling his own immense power.

At this point he chose to not keep {Stealth} up anymore, as he wanted people to see him so he could have his own fights.

He knew the master could handle Jose and didn't want to miss all the fun, so he still kept heading their way, fighting a few of the Phantom stragglers.

None of them offered a challenge and he didn't even need to use magic. When he made it to the throne room, the fight between guild masters was in full swing. The magic they were throwing around was making the air chaotic.

He found Erza, Gray and Elfman near the edge of the room with an Unconscious Aria. They didn't appear to be injured too badly so he assumed they hadn't been fighting Jose long before the master showed up.

"Hey guys. Quite the show you got going on here" Alex said as a greeting.

"Alex! Where did you go? We thought you would be fighting people here alone when you made the island fall, so we came to help. But couldn't find you anywhere." Gray said in response. The other two just nodded.

"I noticed a group leaving in a different direction. They seemed suspicious as hell so I followed them to see what they were planning. Their goal was Lucy. Don't worry, she is safe." Alex said, adding the last part when he seen Erza and Gray tense up.

Lucy was apart of their team so it was only natural they would be more concerned.

"Thank you for that Alex" Erza said before all their attention was drawn to the two fighting Saints.

The two guild masters where having a discussion while channeling magic into their hands. Upon seeing the glowing ball between Makarovs palms, Alex quickly turned to those beside him.

"Close your eyes if you don't want to go blind!" Alex said quickly before turning his back to the master.

The others didn't question him and closed their eyes just in time to hear the master shout. "Fairy Law!" and a blindingly bright light engulfed the entire city

Sometimes it is the little things that are the most annoying. Lmao! With this, Phantom is done. Probably not the outcome people wanted but I don't care, I enjoyed it and that's all that really matters here. :P xD

Enjoy.
