"Your stance is off, move your feet a little forward."

"Okay and...kick!"

"Good, you got it. Practice it more."

Dein smiled at her student and patted her head. Dein has been teaching self-defense ever since but decided to teach basic taekwondo so she requested her boss and he approved. Now Dein has more things to do.

She sat down on the bench and thoughts started running through her head making her stare at emptiness.

"Should I just keep this job?" she mumbled unconsciously. Companies have been rejecting her and she knows why.

Dein clenched her fist as the scene from the past popped in her head. She was lost on her thoughts when someone snapped her from her thoughts. She felt someone pat her shoulder making her involuntarily look up.

"You look tense, tired?" Hera asked as she sat beside her.

"Not really just thinking something."

Hera then plastered a wide smile. Dein looked at her confused at her sudden happiness.

"What's with the wide smile? Did something good happen?" Dein asked.

"Not really, I just sent your resume to a known company and you miraculously got in, it's not sometiing big actually." Hera said like it's nothing.

Dein stared at Hera. She blinked at her and looked at her, speechless. Her mind is still processing the words Hera said.

"W-what?"

"I said you got a job you dummy!" Hera said cheerfully and slapped Dein's back to snap her. Dein finally snapped and she stood up in excitement.

"Really?!" Dein exclaimed and Hera grinned at her nodding.

Dein couldn't express her happiness. Her mind was full of negativity awhile ago but a sudden surge of happiness came. She was too happy, but then she remembered something.

"Anyway what company is it?" Dein asked curiously and Hera smirked at her. Hera stood up face to face with Dein. She lifted her chin proudly and answered.

"Carlton Inc." Dein's eyes widened.

"Carlton?!" she repeated.

Hera crossed her arms and nodded proudly.

"Y-You mean the one owned by Lucas Carlton?"

"Their family actually owns it but Lucas Carlton is the current CEO." Hera said.

Dein dumb-foundedly stared at Hera. Hera's forehead creased at Dein's expression.

"What's wrong? Aren't you supposed to be happy?" Hera asked.

"I-I'm....happy." Dein answered wearily as her mind continuously went wild.

"Dein! Boss is calling you in his office!" Dein looked at Fynn and nodded.

"Got it!" she answered. Dein shifted her gave to Hera "Gotta go, thanks a lot Hera, really." Hera nodded at her and Dein went off.

As Dein walked towards her boss' office her mind continues to think about Hera's news. She doesn't know whether to be sad or happy about it. Surely, she's gonna bump against Lucas there and she doesn't want that. Dein thinks that Lucas is someone she shouldn't involve herself with.

Dein cautiously opened the door and it revealed two men sitting face to face on each couch with a low glass table between them.

She felt like her feet got stuck on the floor as Lucas' gaze averted to her. She was just thinking about not wanting to see him and now he's in front of her. Dein almost smacked her head.

"Dein! You're here!" her boss greeted her and Dein nodded at him.

"I called you because Mr. Lucas Carlton has something to say." he said and Dein felt even worse.

"Now...I'll take my leave, ba-bye!" Her boss said and the next thing she knew, the door was slammed closed.

Dein sighed and shifted her gaze at Lucas. She's getting more annoyed at the guy each time he sees him.

Dein calmed her nerves and straightened herself before talking.

"So what is it?" she asked, staring directly at Lucas without any expression.

"Lunch." Lucas said shortly.

"What?" she asked, confused.

"Let's eat lunch." Lucas said plainly.

"I don't want to, is that all?" Dein answered sternly and crossed her arms.

Lucas stayed quiet and she waited for his answer.

"Please." Dein was caught off guard at the word.

"Let's eat lunch, please." He repeated.

Dein suddenly can't decide. If she agrees, he will continue to pester him and if she doesn't agree, she feels like a villain and she'll feel guilty at the man.

She sighed "Fine."

Lucas stood up and put on his cap and black mask. Dein can't help but stare at the man. He's so tall and has a great body. Black pants and white plain shirt look plain but how he wears them stands out. And not to mention, his face. He looks so mature and masculine. Dein can't help but think that the man is too perfect.

"Let's go." Lucas called and Dein snapped from her thoughts. Her face reddened when she realized she's been staring at him.

She cleared her throat before answering "O-Okay."

---------------

As Dein expected, they went to the Hotel Resto that Lucas owns. Lucas reserved a VIP room and Dein was feeling so tense knowing that there will be only the two of them in the room.

They both entered the room and sat down. After a few seconds, a waitress came to take their order.

Lucas ordered and Dein just stayed quiet.

"...also add two mooncakes." Dein's head shot up after hearing the word.

After the waitress left, Dein decided to ask.

"There's no mooncake on the menu."

"I requested it."

"Why?"

"Isn't it your favorite?" he answered and Dein looked at him surprised.

'I knew it!' Dein exclaimed mentally.

Dein didn't know what to say so she stayed quiet.

"Why? You don't like it?" Lucas asked.

"N-No, It's just that...nothing." she can't help but clench her fist as the scenes started flashing in her head again.

"I'll cancel it." Lucas said and suddenly stood up.

"N-No, it's fine. You don't have to." Dein said and Lucas stared at her.

"Okay" he sat down and Dein sighed.

"So you knew about it too." Dein spoke in a low voice.

Lucas didn't respond but she already knew the answer.

"So you really did take a deep investigation about me huh." Lucas' head shot up at Dein's words

"Sorry." Lucas said and Dein sighed.

"How did you even get to know me anyway? I don't remember meeting you."

"At the alley." Lucas responded.

"Be more precise." Dein stated.

"Near your work place. When you fought with those men, I was in the car." Lucas said and Dein was surprised when she remembered what he said.

"How do you even know that was me?" Dein asked.

"I hired a private investigator." he said casually.

'I pretty much expected that' Dein said in her thoughts.

Suddenly, Dein's gaze averted when a knock interrupted.
