1 Death

I was living my life the best I could. it was just like any other day, I woke up and barely managed to get myself out of bed. I took at least an hour to motivate myself to get out of my room, and then my day began just like any other.

I had my usual day, trying my best to feel anything other than absolute nothingness. I almost never feel happy, what I usually feel is either absolute misery. soul shattering boredom, or absolutely nothing.

my day was absolutely uneventful like it usually is. I wish I lived much more fulfilling life, but I've never been able to find anything that made me feel whole.

I'm just your average mentally unstable high School dropout. people used to tell me I'm incredibly smart, that I should have been someone important, that I could have risen much higher than the state I'm in.

but my depression and metal conditions slowly crushed with little aspirations I had. but even before them I could never find something that made me feel like everything was worth it.

I had religion I believe in god and I lived my life the best I could. but every day I died a little inside, it started when I was a teenager. I used to be happy and never have a care in the world. but over time it felt like something was shattering inside me.

it got harder and harder to live, but I never tried to take my life cuz I refused to give in. I refused to die no matter how much it felt like I wanted to. I pushed myself everyday to keep living.

I did my best to not let my family know while I was going through. but in the end it was meaningless I tried so hard to live, and yet that night when I fell asleep I never woke up.

after falling asleep I opened my eyes and there was nothing but absolute darkness around me. I knew it wasn't a dream, I instinctively knew that I died. I floated in that black with no sense, I was just awake there was nothing and no one.

I floated in the void for what felt like eternity. I couldn't tell the passage of time, I tried my best to keep my mind empty so that my mind didn't shatter in the absolute nothingness.

suddenly I saw a hand reaching to me from outside the void, it grabbed me and pulled me out. I found myself in a massive audience chamber, it seemed to be made from marble and gold. I was surrounded by massive thrones, and on those thrones were giant humanoid beings. I couldn't see their figures clearly they seem to be made out of pure energy.

no matter how hard I try I couldn't see any definitive features. I couldn't even tell if they were male or female. no one said anything, until the being in front of me on the highest throne said in a robust manly voice. "welcome lost soul, I'm sure you have many questions but we don't have time. we will send you to another world, we are the gods of that world. the world is many times larger than the one you come from. magic and many other fantastical abilities are widely spread there.

the world uses a system that every sentient creature is classified inside of, the simplest way to explain it is that it works much like your world's video games. your job in this world is to raise the average power of the residents of our world. how you achieve this will be up to you, we have sent many before you, and though they have done their best it is not amounting to much in the end.

the first heroes we sent were righteous and just. they had morals and had strong beliefs. however it never amounted to anything in the end. they stuck to the same system that the residents of the world already use. they never tried anything new, we allowed them to choose special skills when we sent them to our world. and even then they didn't choose anything very remarkable. so we have decided to start sending those like you, who are unstable and practically insane. we need you to flip the world on its head to change the very ideals that they have founded their entire existence upon.

we know that this task is going to be very challenging and that someone like you, may not even want to do it. however we believe that with your personality and the desires you buried deep in your soul are exactly what we need, and they just by going through and achieving what you always dreamed will bring about exactly what we need. so the benefits we will give you as we send you to help our world will be the ability to understand and speak every language native to it. you will also receive the insignia of the gods which can be activated when you are in danger and save you. but it cannot be activated continuously it will work similar to a skill, it will also resonate when you meet any of the other heroes. it can also be used to send a distress signal to the others in case you are in mortal danger. none of the other heroes will be able to attack you and you will not be able to attack them. any hero that breaks this rule will be cursed by the gods and struck down immediately.

you also be allowed to choose your race when you descend, as well as choose your starting point in the world whether that be in the royalty of a Nation or in the middle of nowhere. how you develop in our world is completely up to you. now you will be able to choose five starting abilities they will be completely custom to yourself they can be anything you want them to be. but note that the stronger they are the more restrictions they will have.

you will also have to choose a new name because the name from your past cannot come with you to this new world. so please choose your starting abilities and your new name and where you would like to descend. I'm sure you have a lot of questions about the world you will descend into basic information of the world will be sent into your mind once you awaken."
