Chapter Thirteen

(Elizabeth pov)

It's currently day 3 of me being here in New York City. Everyone is still friendly as you can see it on their smiles while walking past.

I woke up to a beautiful morning, alarm showing 7:30am with the sun showing itself in a manner that screams Good Morning with a bright wide smile on its face. You can hear the birds singing in a happy tone while flapping their wings to who knows where.

Yes I got up today feeling happy. Why?

Because I am not alone, I got Skyler with me now. No more feeling depressed and weak all the time.

I got up from my bed and went to stand by the window in my room. I pull the blinds up and the sun suddenly strikes onto my face and into my room brightening up this Gothic themed room. I quickly shut my eyes and open them slowly trying to get used to the light in my eyes.

Now used to the light I open the Windows which sends a fresh breeze into the room. I stick my head outside and look down onto the pavement where 2 little girls with pink ribbons in their hair holding their mothers hand on the way to school. I can hear their giggles all the way up here.

Both girls look up and see me looking at them. They both look identical to which I presume they are twins. They smile up at me and wave to which I quickly do the same.

They get into a black car that looks fairly new and their mother drives down the road to school.

While looking down the road I spot the park to which I did say I would go for a walk on. I can feel Skyler smiling looking at the park. She just loves the green scenery.

"Skyler, do you probably want to go for a walk to the park this beautiful morning?"

"Of course. Come on hop skip and jump to the bathroom to get ready. I cannot wait."

Well she seems excited to which I laugh at.

I walk over to the bathroom to brush my teeth and have a shower. I wash my hair and shave. I step out of the steamy shower and walk back to my room with my towel wrap around me and an extra around my head.

I go to my cupboard and pick out a gorgeous blue knee-length dress. Which matches the sky today, good thing I shaved now.

I moisturize my body and slip the dress on. Which fits perfectly on my curve slim body. It manages to cover the scars on my upper body and back.

I unwrap the towel from around the head. I've decided to leave my hair wet curls for today. I just use my fingers to brush and unknot my hair.

I put on a little eyeliner and lip gloss. I like the simple and natural look. But obviously my eyes must pop out a bit.

Since I'm done, I neaten up my room and go the kitchen. I take out the coco pops cereal from the cupboard and milk from the fridge. I pour them into a bowl and add a little sugar, 2 teaspoons to be exact.

It is so cold and crunchy. Good for today's weather. Once I'm done, I wash the bowl and put it away.

I put my black pumps on which matches anything and grab my purse and head out. I lock the door and double check that it's locked.

It's weird if you think about it, that I did not run into any of my neighbors yet. Maybe it's too early for them to wake up. I just shrug at that thought.

I get out of the apartment building and walk down the road towards the park with a wide smile on my face. Some looking at me as if I am weird to which made me smile and laugh a little.

I head towards the entrance of the park and can I say WOW ...
