Chapter 8 Family dinner part 2

Usually, the food on Apokalyps was not as bad as one, might think especially not up here even on the streets of Armagetto they were not so bad and the dinner here was splendid but after the main course as the desert was about to arrive Darkseid said his first words since arriving at the table.

His voice was deep and menacing like a roaring thunderstorm it commanded respect and attracted attention overpowering any other voice in the room all members at the table turned to Darkseid paying him full attention.

"As many of you should know my goal has always been the anti-life equation and as such your goal is to retrieve it for me which is why I continue to conquer worlds looking for the Anti life equation and we have found three planets that could potentially hold the equation, Steppenwolf continue. Darkseid commanded Steppenwolf to talk next as holographic images of three planets appeared at the table.

"Of course, he said Now these three planets have a high chance of holding the anti-life equation and as such are of high priority to conquer Lord Darkseid will personally travel to planet bb6-29 to conquer it.

Steppenwolf then began to explain how the invasion would go but I zoned out since I knew that if the planet didn't have earth plot armour it won't survive long.

(ohhhh seems the old man is going at it himself must be a big deal on a planet then, I guess ill just have to enjoy the battle footage in the comfort of the palace) or so I thought since the next thing I hear was

"Mal-Valtrex and Kalibak will lead the invasion of the second planet named Deez-nu-t5 this both caused Both Kalibak and I to look up in shock.

W-what? I questioned this caused Steppenwolf to look at both Kalibak and me in slight annoyance

Well, what is it? you have a question he asked wanting to move on with the plans. I was about to say something but Kalibak slammed his fist into the table in rage before I could say anything at all

HOW DARE YOU STEPPENWOLF, HOW DARE YOU DISGRACE ME BY SENDING ME TO BATTLE WITH THE LIKES OF MAL-VALTREX THE BASTARD OF APOKALYPS!!!

Steppenwolf looked at Kalibak and continued speaking "it was a logical decision to send one of our strongest fighters to such a high-quality world not to mention Mal needs the experience plus if anything were to go wrong he would have a large meat shield to defend him...

MEAT SHIELD RWRRRGGGH!!!!!

Kalibak let his displeasure be known by all in the room as he caused a ruckus and smashed the table this left Steppenwolf looking unimpressed and many of the high-ranking attendants unamused and the lower ranking in fear it left me slapping my forehead since one I was stuck with an angry manchild that was jealous of me for daddy's love and now I had to see that jealous man child get punished for making a mess in the presence of the father he so wishes to impress.

and just as Kalibak was in a frenzy as if by instinct he stopped and looked at Darkseid who set quietly and never made a move or a sound he only set there menacingly this caused the whole room to be silent and Kalibak got on his knees and began to grovel and apologise

"My apologies father it was not my place to speak or act, but I fail to see why I must travel with Mal-Valtrex of all beings, I could complete this mission on my own and.."

"No, you will do as I command and travel with Mal-Valtrex to claim that world for me, you travel with Mal-Valtrex, not as a commander but a subordinate of mine and Mal-Valtrex's words will be my own understood Kalibak

Kalibak seemed like he wanted to say more but kept quiet and remained kneeling as Steppenwolf continued to explain the plan. After dinner, I rushed back to my room and instantly collapsed on my bed.

Oh gosh, that was exhausting but seems I must take over a planet soon, for some reason I feel excited.

Alpha circled on his dog bed and easily drifted to sleep, I, on the other hand, decided to look into the planet I would invade with my dear brother.
