A miracle?

It's been two years since the meteor shower in Smallville.

Some people lose their homes; others lose family members; but now, time, like always, is healing everything.

In the passing days, weeks, months, and years, new things got built, new babies were born, and everything returned to normal.

On the Kent farm, however, everything was fine but not normal, although the first parents themselves

The Kent's had been tending the calves for years now, so they thought it was the same, and until a certain point it was, but they had no normal child; no, they picked a child from the stars, so there were some significant differences from regular children.

For one, Clark was smart; he is 2 years old, but it's like they were speaking to a 5-year-old, very mature for his age for sure but still a child, and the most concerning thing that stood out was his strength; with his small frame, he could lift a chair or a table.

That one made Martha and Jonathan almost fall into their buttocks when they first saw it. They were amazed at what their son could do, but it also brought some other feeling; it was... fear.

No, they weren't afraid of their child; no, it was a fear of what people could do to their child if they found out about his strength, so they taught him to show restraint and gentleness in everything, but even then, it was a slow process.

                                                                                  (crack)

. "I'm sorry, mom," said a crestfallen little Clark, who was trying to eat on the table with a wooden spoon now broken in half.

He already had five metal spoons bent, and as for the wooden spoons, let's just say that Jonathan can make one in under 30 minutes.

"Don't worry, sweetie, there's more of them in the drawer. Let me get one for you."

Standing up from the table, Martha Kent went to the kitchen to get one more spoon, but there was something different about her; she was younger than she was before. Jonathan said she was getting worried that she would abandon him for a rich guy and run off to the city, which is typical of him, but it was true that for some reason Martha was also feeling younger, but with Clark and the farm, she has no time to really think about that stuff.

After eating dinner, Martha went to tuck little Clark to bed, reading him a story and giving him a goodnight kiss when he fell asleep.

Meanwhile, Jonathan was downstairs making the calculations for the bills for this month. Seeing that everything was fine and nothing was red, he slowly stood up to start cleaning up the table.

That's when Martha sneakily came from behind and embraced him.

"My father is not coming home tonight, you know," she whispered in Jonathan's ear, to which he responded.

"Then we have the house for ourselves," she said, turning around, and with a passionate kiss, they went together into their bedroom.

Next week, it's going to be Clark's birthday. Of course, they don't know which day he was born, but they took the day after the meteor shower to celebrate it.

After all, they could not celebrate something when the others were mourning the deaths of their loved ones.

Today there was something different, or at least that's what Jonathan thought when he woke up the next morning without Martha in the bed, checking left and right to see if she had not fallen to the floor.

He stood up from the bed to make his way into the bathroom when he heard

 (UUgghhhtt)

Well, now he knew where his wife was, and with a little concern in his voice, he asked.

Is "everything fine in their honey?" which was the only answer.

 (ugghhhtt)

"Ok, I'm coming in."

Announce Jonathan, then he proceeded to grab the handle and push the door open, only for him to see Martha's face-first into the toilet, trowing up everything that they had for dinner last night.

He began to slowly move to her side and, with his left hand, started to rub her back.

"Honey, are you okay? Do we need to go to the doctor?"

Martha's only response was to move her head up and down.

"Okay, wait up. I will start the truck and go pick up Clark."

(ugghhtt) in response.

Traveling with a sick person was not easy; they made at least 20 stops, but they finally made it to the hospital.

"Hmm, curious indeed, no fever, and by what you tell me, mister Kent, there's no reason for feeling this nausea. Okay, let me run some blood tests to discard something dangerous," said the doctor at his office.

"Sure, Doc, you are the one who knows." After saying that, he glanced over to Martha, now that she was feeling a lot better.

"Honey, I'm going to take Clark to eat; do you want something?" But seeing the stare that his wife is giving him when he mentions food, he assumes that no, she doesn't want anything.

It only took Clark 20 minutes to get food and come back to the hospital. When he came back, he saw his wife getting out of the bathroom, and assuming that she was not feeling well again, he asked her.

"Honey, are you okay? Do you need anything?"

What Jonathan didn't notice was that Martha was carrying something in his left hand by the time he noticed something was off, and his wife spoke.

"The doctor said that I should take a pregnancy test."

"What?" taken a back for the first time in many years since they found out Clark, he could not believe what he was hearing. He was the one who told us two years ago that we could not have a family; now he said this—the nerve!

Jonathan was furious at how dare the doctor suggest something like that to her wife, and Martha sensed that, so before her husband stormed into the doctor's office and made a scene, she said to him with a voice full of incredulity.

"It was positive."
