Finalizing

"Please you are obviously friends with my sister no need to fill my head with thoughts of grandeur," I replied rolling my eyes at the demon

"Lucas, speaking weird again?" Thea said from the side

"I don't know thea I thought it was kind of cute," Maze added scaling me with her eyes

The speaking 'weird' thing is a joke thea started using because sometimes I get so used to reading and speaking passages from older books I habitually add more flamboyant words into my vocabulary.

She thinks it's just the funniest thing in the world.

It's not that funny.

Anyways, Thea shot Maze an interesting look but I brushed off what both of them said and replied, "enjoy the party, tonight ladies," and began to walk off

As I left I noticed some people in the corner acting like idiots.

"Is that Kim Kardashian?"

"Dude no that's wonder woman,"

I followed their line of sight and saw who they were looking at, or better yet what they were looking at.

A lamp.

It seems maze is making my sister a little hellion with her new found powers. I chuckled a bit at the thought of what thea could do to people then frowned.

Is she going to try to cast an illusion on me eventually? Should I maybe act like it's working? Or lay it all on the table.

*ding* drawing me from my thoughts was a message notification popping up on my phone. Looking at who it was I smirked, it seems later tonight a conference call will be held to decide on the avenues the vampire 'council' can take to set a trap for the hellsings.

As the night progressed I kept my eyes on Thea and Maze their friendship is new and unnerves me a little. Maze is a demon in the comics she is the daughter of Lilith sometimes the daughter of lucifer himself.

It all boils down to the fact that she is powerful and dangerous and her being buddy-buddy with my sister is a scary thing.

As the party began to die down I headed to the kitchen which is a rarely used area because my family has chefs but I know that's where they keep the good stuff.

I need a drink after everything I've been through these past couple of days. As I entered I saw some people cooking and taking out food.

I nodded to them as they recognized me they allowed me to be back here, I swiftly made my way to the lower shelves and opened the smallest one.

Inside I found a nice bottle and took it out, turning around I walked out the back way closer to the parlor. No one is in this area so I sat down to pour myself a drink.

Just as I was about to take a sip I heard someone enter the room, fast.

"Maze," I said calmly not turning around

"Lucas," she replied stepping in front of me, instead of sitting down on another chair she sat on my lap straddling me

"Maze to what do I owe the pleasure," I said a small sigh escaping my lips

"I just want to see the man Lucifer is so interested in up close," she whispered into my ear

"Really? Then why bring my sister into this?" I asked giving her no reaction to her attempts to fluster me

She seemed thoughtful for a second, "I'm sure you've noticed her powers at first when I saw her in the coffee shop using them I was interested, then I realized who she was and got even more interested. Now I actually like her weird how things work," she seemed genuine

"Yeah, weird how things work," I replied with a small frown

-break-

After the party, I left to go back home with dembe. Once home I began a conference call with the other vampires that were at the meeting.

As we began to plan and orchestrate the demise of the Hellsings a small smile graced my lips. The Hellsings as a whole aren't a problem for me but more for my race. The vampire race is an important thing to me, I hope they prosper as I also hope some humans prosper.

Order is essential, I won't have people associated with me that find indiscriminately killing humans a good thing. I know it's a tad hypocritical seeing as I kind of did the same thing in the past but, I grew as a person and realized humans have a lot more to offer than just their blood.

I was once one and I need to remember that as well as those I surround myself with.

As we ironed out my plans dembe was preparing himself for a trip he will be taking. It will only take him a short while but he will be missing the big battle.

"I'm off Lucas," Dembe said as I ended the call

"Have a safe trip," I replied giving him anlighth hug

As he left I sighed to myself, my house really does seem empty.

I need to find a girl.

-narrator pov: two weeks later-

On the outskirts of las Vegas, two people could be seen meeting in a warehouse, they have been going there for the past week. Meeting every day, at the same time.

"The tip was true, Azreal and Andrew are in the warehouse off of San Jaun drive. What are our orders?" a man hidden in an adjacent abandoned building asked whoever he was talking to on the phone

"Backup is in route await them before preceding we can't mess up this opportunity," where his orders

"Yes sir," the man replied before the line was cut

"We have you bastards," the man said to himself glaring in the direction of the warehouse

"We have you,"

-scene change-

On the island, a man docked on the shores. He stepped through the beaten trail finding his way toward a massive base hidden in between the towering trees.

More and more people came to the island, helping the bases production.

As the man approached a smile graced his lips.

Everything was going smoothly.
