Ch 7: Attacking Police Station

New York. Police Station. James Gordon's Office.

"Jacob, is there any news about 'Brute'?" James asked while checking the piled-up documents that were on his table.

"No sir, there is no news about him after Lili Watcher's case," Jacob answered without changing expression. But you can see anger and hatred in his eyes.

"Mother is gone to Arkham for murdering her husband while daughter is traumatized for a lifetime. And eight people died in a fire he caused three in fire and five in the explosion." James muttered in his low voice then looked at Jacob. After a few seconds of silence, he said: "Fine, I allow you to assemble team Alpha for a hunt after 'Brute'."

"Yes sir." Jacob said while taking the request paper that James just signed and headed towards the office door.

'Don't know why but I have a feeling that today is gonna be a really bad day.' James thought while looking out at the window.

Gotham City. Outside Police Station.

Jason, Catwoman, and Tigress were standing on top of the building parallel to the police station. Surprisingly it wasn't hard to get here and nobody even noticed or cared about them coming here. I guess it's Gotham city after all. People might be just adapted to this kind of thing.

"Are you sure you don't want our help?" Selina asked while looking at Jason. He was in his new costume which has a full face covering a mask with a black jacket and his whole clothes and mask have LED light lines.

"Yeah, after all, it's my official debut. But seriously 'brute'? Which bastard thinks of that name? It sounds fucking stupid." Jason mutters while looking back at two police friends he just 'chatted'. What a good friend one of them even helped another one end their pain. He beat his friend to death with a police badge.

"I-I did what you asked me to do. P-Please spare me." A young policeman who was in his early twenties said while tears falling from his eyes. While saying this he looked at his dead friend and glanced for a second. Then looked away in fear.

He never expected in his life he will beat his crush to death with his own hands. But looks like his love wasn't pure enough after all he can kill his crush. If it was real love he will allow her to kill himself.

"Don't worry friend I'm a man who reaches my word you can go." Jason said this before and did an after-you gesture. Our police friend runs for his life but suddenly he felt a sharp pain behind his head. He turn around and saw Tigress shoot him with her crossbow. In his last moment, he looked at Jason who is waving his hand to him.

"I said to let you go but two lovely ladies beside me never said that," Jason muttered before focusing on the police station again.

"Huh, looks like, in the end, I followed the path of my father." Artemis said while looking at her hands which were shaking a little bit.

"Don't be a sad girl. At least you are happier than being a villain than a hero." Selina patted her on the shoulder while start explaining the advantages of being a villain.

"Well, girls. I think it's my time to shine." Jason said while taking out a tire pulled of spikes and explosives from nowhere. Both girls' eyes widened because of it.

"See ya after the show!" Jason while jumping up from the building.

"Do we need to remind him we are on the seventh floor?" Artemis asked Catwoman which she shrugged. And said: "I'm sure he is fine."

Jason who was falling used one of [Junkrat] 's skills. He throws a grenade into the ground and used its explosion to nullify fall damage and send him a few meters into the air which catches the full attention of the crowd. While in the air he fires his RIP-tire. Which rolled inside Police Station without trouble surprisingly.

*Boom!*

Gotham City. Police Station.

"So we are going to hunt down 'brute'?" Micheal member of team Alpha asked while looking at the notice on his table.

"Yeah, I guess so. Looks like our enemy this time is a guy who is rumored that can kill people with one punch." Richard another member of team Alpha answered.

"Not gonna lie he isn't an easy target. I saw a few corpses of a few unlucky guys he killed and they have died in absolutely horrible ways." Jeremy another team Alpha member said while playing with a knife.

"Well, in front of a bullet it doesn't matter much." Alex only female member of Team Alpha said while looking at files about 'brute' seriously.

"We don't know anything other than his gender. His face, body type, blood type not even his motivation for doing this. But one thing is for sure he is planning something big. After the May 5th case, he was below the radar for five days. But anything I learned from this city criminals then that they never hide for good reason." George leader of Team Alpha said while cleaning his police badge.

"Well, enough of this tense atmosphere. I am gonna shop and get some drink do you guys wanna order something?" Ben another member of Team Alpha said while getting up from his seat.

"Get me some cola." Richard was the first to say.

"Snickers will do." Micheal.

"Just mineral water." Alex.

"Sandwich will do." Jeremy.

"No need." George.

"Okay, then. One cola, one mineral water, and one sandwich. I will be back soon." Ben said while heading towards the main exit. But just as he was about 10 meters away from the exit some kind of strange tire rolled come front of him.

"What the?"

*Boom!*

The big explosion happened and it created a big hole in the main entrance of the Police Station and killed at least a dozen Police. Also created a smoke screen from the smoke screen.

*Pyu, pyu, pyu.* (I really couldn't think of the sound of the pistol with a silencer.)

Gunshot was heard and another dozen men fell on the floor luckily they aren't dead but won't be helpful in combat for a while. From the smoke screen, they saw a figure with a strange mask with LED light smile drawing.

Seeing Jason everyone aimed their weapon at him. Jason who saw this only chuckled a little bit before putting his weapon down.

*Pss!*

Just right after he put his weapons down which were [Agent 47] twin pistols. Suddenly some pieces of RIP-tire that scattered everywhere started to emit strange gas. You know [Junkrat] might be psycho not the brightest mind in his world but he is the one of best when it comes to fire. And tricks he knows are more than just a few tricks shown in [Overwatch]. Like the current gas Jason using it doesn't ignite or something but it's a special drug [Junkrat] made for himself. It might have no effect on [Junkrat] he already adapted it. Even though it might feel good but for normal people it made them feel like burning in flames. They will feel their body slowly melting down in flames they will know the feeling of being burned alive but it's all illusion created by the drug.

After all, it isn't a true pyromaniac if that person never felt the enjoyment of burning alive.

"Agh!" One after another Police starts screaming like crazy in pain. Seeing this other police members wanted to shoot but they couldn't because they don't know if this gas is explosive or not.

"Agh!" Suddenly one of the guys who was experiencing the pain of burning alive rushed towards Jason. His thought was to stop Jason from taking his weapon. He doesn't know if this gas is explosive or not but he knows he can't give Jason a chance to make the first move. So he greeted his teeth and rushed towards Jason even though he was feeling extreme pain.

"Want to stop me even though feeling like you're dying? What model police." Jason said before did a palm heel strike. Which hit a police guy in the chin and made knocked him out. Luckily with help of [Agent 47] 's experience, he learned how to control his power properly otherwise this guy will die immediately.

But even so, looking at blood coming out from his mouth and nose and also a few teeth that fell from his mouth this guy won't wake up for a while. After all to call Batman out from his hideout he needs many baits as possible.

"So, everybody let's cooperate peacefully. If you do what I said I promise I won't hurt anybody." Jason said while taking his twin pistols from the ground and walking towards a group of police. Few tried to stop him, but in the end, they meet the same fate as the first guy.

"'Brute'!" Suddenly someone screamed at Jason. Jason turn his head and looked at who screamed at him. The person who screamed was Jacob. Who was wearing a bulletproof vest with a gas mask? Then he took out a combat knife and rushed towards Jason.

"Please guys, don't call me that. That name is horrible." Jason then dodged Jacob's attack then punched him in the guts. Even with a bulletproof vest, Jason's punch made him out of breath. Then Jason did a low kick on Jacob's knee. Everybody near him heard bone cracking sound. Once Jacob kneeled Jason took his gas mask off. And made him breathe [Junkrat] is a special drug made him feel the pain of burning alive.

"I remember you. You were the guy who runaway while leaving your friend with me. Jacob was it? I'm not gonna lie your friend was a pretty tough guy he didn't let me go even though I broke all his four limbs. He bite my leg and didn't let go like a dog." Hearing Jason's words Jacob couldn't help but bite his lips till bleeding. He tried to stab Jason with a knife but his attack was caught by Jason. Then Jason strengthens his grip and breaks his fingers. But even so, Jacob didn't scream in pain.

*Bang.*

Suddenly someone hit Jason on the head with a glass bottle. The bottle shattered and the liquid that was inside of it scatters everywhere on the floor but even so, Jason didn't show any sign of falling. He turn around and saw the person who hit him was Richard from team Alpha.

Jason's eyes are behind the mask and Richard's eyes meet. What he saw in Jason's eyes wasn't anger or anything he expected but pure playfulness. And that's the thing that scared him.

Jason took a knife from Jacob's hand and then stabbed it into Richard. After that, he looked at Jacob and said: "Hold the knife. Don't let it go any deeper or pull it out. It will result in this young policeman bleeding to death. Do you understand Jacob? You might weren't able to save your friend but you will be able to save this young man."

Seeing Jason letting go Jacob quickly caught the knife's handle with his unharmed hand and didn't let it move. Richard who was suddenly stabbed felt his leg becoming weak. He wanted to sit or lay down but couldn't dare because if he move he might move the knife and die because of bleeding.

"So then let's meet our dear Commissar James Gordon shall we?" Jacob said while start humming a song.
