Chapter 2

Darkness is all that surrounded him as he was attracted by the portal that appeared behind him.

How strange because I feel tired I must try to sleep.

Gotham City

2 months after being reborn into the DC world, as he looked up at the cloudy sky remembering the past Arthur could only let out a small self-deprecating laugh.

At first he was glad to be reborn despite not remembering much of the world he was sent to he decided to look on the bright side of things he would have the dragon spheres on his side it was supposed to be his card to succeed in his new life, but he got the surprise that he only had one of the 7 spheres.

Another blow he got was when he realized that he had no way of finding the missing ones either.

Little by little he began to panic when he realized these things, he ran out of the alley where perhaps with the illusion that he would find the missing spheres but the reality is cruel when he left the alley what he saw was a city he did not know and people who frowned, at first glance he looked like a drunk who had lost a fight after drinking too much.

People moved away when he ran past, after all this was Gotham people were struggling to survive going to work and trying to get home without anything bad happening to them, this is not to say that everyone was indifferent, but Arthur was unlucky not to run into those kind of people, although it wouldn't have changed the situation much as all Arthur had in mind was to run and hopefully try to find the spheres.

After running for a short time Arthur's body began to reach its limit, he was not a super human he had no power or training.

When he reached his limit he could only sit in a shabby corner.

It took several minutes before Arturo's eyes regained some life, thinking about his current situation he only began to laugh trying to vent his frustration.

He got up and began to walk slowly aimlessly as the hours passed and it began to get dark without knowing how he had gotten to the park, he sat down and saw a newspaper lying around and picked it up to find out a little of where he was.

Batman puts the Joker away again, people think....

As he began to read the newspaper Arturo realized he had fallen into a world of heroes, where so called heroes face villains and vice versa, as he read on he saw other heroes names Wonder Woman, Superman, Flash, etc.

As he read about these heroes he thought about asking them for help, but quickly dismissed the idea, who would believe him and also upon discovering that there is something that can fulfill any wish they ask for, only made him give up faster at the idea that all people whether good or bad have wishes they want to fulfill upon discovering such power they will choose to help a stranger they don't know or fulfill their fantasies and he didn't want to find out the answer.

Present tense

Arturo I need your help with the shipment the penguin wants the delivery done fast, so that the bat doesn't screw up our business (Criminal)

If I come you don't have to yell (Arthur)

Why would Arthur mix with criminals if this in itself is dangerous, one of the reasons would be that he didn't have any kind of identification when he came here and besides who would pay him enough money to find the spheres, after a few days Arthur realized that the spheres give off some kind of energy and to find the 7 spheres he needs money for the materials if it is to build something to help him find them and unfortunately the jobs where the laws are respected don't pay well.

When he finished filling the truck Arthur hit it to tell the driver it was full.

Hey Arthur you want to go for a drink, our part is done, what comes next is up to the rest (criminal).

No thanks, I have things to do (Arthur).

Tsk, you always say the same thing, then don't say I didn't invite you (criminal).

Seeing his partner leave Arthur started to walk away towards his small apartment to rest, after arriving and having dinner he decided to sleep, this was Arthur's current life a routine between his home and his job as Penguin's pawn if he could be called a pawn, he only knew that he works for him.

When he opened his eyes and saw the time on the clock he realized that it was already dawning, he decided to get up and have some breakfast in the street after this he started to wander around the city observing it to end up with Gotham.

Brin, brin, brin

When he heard his cell phone ring he answered the call and the first thing he heard was the voice of his partner.

Arthur the penguin wants to meet in an hour at the warehouse the bat screwed up yesterday's job and more people are needed for the next job (criminal).

Okay, I'll be there in an hour (Arthur).

AN HOUR LATER AT THE WAREHOUSE

Arriving at the warehouse Arthur could see several people in the warehouse and at the top of the stage was the Penguin Arthur saw pictures of him in the newspaper or on the news, but this is the first time he has seen him in person if he had to describe him it would be a stocky looking short man.

After a few moments one of the Penguin's assistants informs him that they are all there and begins to explain to them that Batman has screwed him out of business as the shipment Arthur filled turned out to be weapons and these were seized by Batman which generated losses for the Penguin.

So he decided to give his henchmen a job to rob the Gotham bank promising them good pay upon completion of the job and to gain even more confidence he assured that he would cause a distraction that would draw the Bat's attention so that he would not interrupt the robbery.

After explaining the plan, each man was assigned a role to fulfill and follow to the letter in order to succeed and avoid trouble.

Gotham Bank

Hurry up, we are running out of time, fill the money bags quickly (delinquent).

After hearing these words, the criminals quickly filled the money bags and ran out of the bank, quickly boarding a car waiting for them outside the bank

Hurry, hurry (offender)

You don't have to tell me (Arturo)

As the car accelerated and sped through the streets, police sirens could be heard.

Shit, they took too long to fill the bags (Criminal)

Bang, Bang

Sticking his head and arms out the window the criminal shot at the police causing it to crash and causing the rest to stop for a brief moment.

Speeding at full throttle Arthur sped away while turning in different directions to lose them after a few minutes they managed to lose the police, they continued driving until they reached their destination.

Getting out of the car the group began to unload the money that was in the bag.

Don't you think this is a bit quiet (criminal)?

After hearing what one member of the group said, the rest of the group grabbed their guns and pointed them in different directions.

We'd better get going, cover for me while I get the bags in the car.

But before Arthur could open the trunk he heard a sound near his feet.

Clank...

Looking at what was under his feet Arthur could only curse as what he was seeing was in the shape of a bat.
