Seraphina's Arrival To The Sullivan's Home

Ethan slowly stepped into his father's home office,his eyes moved around, searching for him. He let out a little sigh of relief as he saw his father looking out through the window with his hands folded over his chest.

"Father" he called as he walked over to him.

Edward turned to face his son, he cleared his throat, "have a seat" he said

They both sat down. "I have given Seraphina's father the marriage contract" Edward said and watched as the expression on his son's face turned to a confused one.

"Marriage Contract?" Ethan queried

"What for?" He added

"It's was your choice to get married to Seraphina, so I have to be the one to decide on what the context of the marriage should be like," Edward said flatly,

"The marriage will take place on Saturday, be prepared" Edward added before his son could utter any word.

Ethan slowly got up on his feet, he got what he wanted, a marriage with Seraphina,the chance to have her all to himself but his father's words about a 'marriage contract' got his mind raiding with thoughts.

Just as Ethan stepped out of the room and closed the door, he sighted Gabriela, the housemaid, passed by, with a sly smile on his face, he took a quick glance around before walking briskly behind her, he grasped her arm tightly, pushed her back against the wall and pressed his lips against hers tightly, forcing himself on her, Gabriela struggled to free herself from him and when she finally did, she was gasping for air while Ethan held a big sly smile on his face, biting his lower lip, it irritated her, she started to continuously wipe her mouth with her hands, but before she knew it, her hands were up in the air in Ethan's tight grip, kissing her hard again, while she struggled to free herself,

"It's been long since I treated you good" Ethan whispered into her ears,

"Please let me go"she continued to struggle to free herself from him,

"Let her go, Ethan" Edward yelled from where he stood, he startled both Ethan and Gabriela.

Ethan quickly loosened his grip on Gabriela, she immediately scurried away.

Ethan stood still, with his head faced down and his arms folded behind him as his father walked over to him.

Ethan's face turned in the other direction as his father slapped him.

"How can you stoop so low to do that to a maid?!" Edward's loud voice vibrated.

Ethan was utterly silent, not a single word came from him.

"Seraphina will be moving in today, once she is here, you both can start preparing for the marriage" Edward stated before walking away.

Seraphina was seated in the back seat of her father's car while they drove to the Sullivans home with her things in the truck.

Her mother had chosen to stay home. Seraphina noticed her father stealing glances at her through the mirror in the car but she paid no attention to him.

Seraphina took her phone and decided to text Sebastian,

"I signed the marriage contract" she sent,

His reply came immediately "what marriage contract?

"With Ethan"

"Did you read through the contents of the contract before signing it?"

"No"

"Oh my God!!" Was the last text Sebastian sent her before her phone started to buzz with a call from him, she looked up and yet again, she caught her father's gaze on her.

"I will call you when I get there" She sent

"Okay" replied Sebastian.

Seraphina dropped her phone, she inhaled and sighed with her eyes closed.

Sebastian on the other hand, started to pace around with a worried expression on his face, his mind was raided with thoughts of the marriage contract Seraphina had mentioned,

'Why would she just sign on a contract like that, without even reading it' he thought to himself still pacing around.

Thomas and Seraphina arrived at a very big and stunning mansion, filled with lavishness and elegance at every corner, it was obvious it belonged to the Sullivans, it stood out among all the other houses around.

"Welcome Miss Steele" Seraphina slightly flinched, startled at the voice she heard behind her the moment she stepped out of the car.

She turned, it was a young lady, she wore what seemed like a maid suit, with her blonde hair tied up in a bun.

"My name is Gabriela. Can I help you with your bags" Gabriela said with a feigned smile on her face.

"Yea, thank you" Seraphina replied slowly as she fixed her gaze sternly on Gabriela. Seraphina felt strange about her, probably because she was literally living with the Sullivans.

As they walked into the Sullivans home, Seraphina felt her forehead sweaty and her legs became so feeble as she walked, she swallowed hard as they took another turn, it felt like she was walking herself to hell, it all felt like a dream and she wanted it to badly end, as they walked on to only God knows where, Seraphina kept wishing she could change the hands of the time and not sign the marriage contract or even think about taking revenge, she should have just ran away to a far place.

Her phone buzzed with a text at that moment, interrupting her thoughts, it was a text from Sebastian, she quickly looked behind her, her father was walking with his head faced down while the maid was at the front, leading them

She tapped open the text.

"Stay strong, I'm with you" Sebastian had sent.

And that was all it took for her strength and will to gather back, she hastened her steps, and walked directly behind the maid, with her head up high like she wasn't scared of anything anymore.

And finally they arrived at where the family gathered, all seated, like they were all waiting for her arrival.

"Seraphina!" Ethan was the first to call out, he jumped to his feet,

Seraphina felt her body shake as she saw Ethan, wearing a big smile on his face,

Seraphina inhaled but before she could exhale back, Ethan's arm was wrapped around her a bit too tightly and she suddenly started to cough out.
