"You don't remember me?" Grace asked Seraphina with her arms folded over her chest, Seraphina raised her eyebrow in reply as she gulped down the glass of water

Grace had led Seraphina into the kitchen for a glass of water after she couldn't stop coughing. 

Seraphina dropped the glass cup and stared hard at Grace as if trying to remember her. 

"I'm Grace, Grace Sullivan" Grace stated but Seraphina still had a confused expression on her face. 

She never knew that Ethan had a sister. 

"I'm sure you don't remember me, you were busy getting bullied by my brother" Grace went on

Seraphina's expression changed to a slight frown. 

"Why are you even here?" Grace asked flatly, "How can you even accept his marriage proposal after the horrible things he did to you?" She added 

Seraphina was still, she uttered no single word.

"What are you doing?" 

Grace turned startled as she heard Ethan's voice, he stood at the doorway of the kitchen. 

"How many times do I have to tell you to keep shut!" He yelped at her as he walked closer

Seraphina took a few steps away from them as the two siblings looked like they were about to collide. 

"Say one more word about me and I'll rip your mouth off, you hear me!" Ethan went on, his tone loud

Grace gave Seraphina a side look and then hissed at Ethan before walking away. 

Ethan and Seraphina were left alone in the kitchen, Seraphina suddenly looked like she was gasping for air, her lips slightly parted. 

Ethan turned and rested his eyes on her, a little smile appeared on his lips. " You look so beautiful, just like you were in high school" He stated. 

"You remember all the good times we had?" Ethan asked Seraphina who just stood there, avoiding his eyes and not uttering a single reply.

Ethan took a few steps closer to Seraphina, she slightly flinched and took a few steps back also. 

"I remember all the good times we had, Seraphina. It's all fresh in my memory like it happened yesterday" Ethan said as he kept moving towards Seraphina who also kept moving back, away from Ethan. 

Ethan stopped moving, he suddenly laughed out loudly, Seraphina was startled, she held her hands up to her chest and just watched. 

'is he crazy' she thought to herself and in a swift seconds Ethan's hand was tightly grasping her arm. 

"You can't run away from me, Seraphina, I'm your husband now," Ethan said

Seraphina swallowed hard, terrified

"Not yet" she managed to say

Ethan tightly grasped her hair with his hand

"Don't even think of trying anything stupid, you hear me!" He yelped out, Seraphina was shaking as she tried to free herself from Ethan's grip. 

"Blame your parents for selling you out just for a penny," Ethan said and immediately received a head punch from Seraphina, her teeth were clenched tightly as she breathed through them, her eyes filled with fury. She watched as Ethan held his face and cried out in pain, there was blood on his lips. 

"How dare you?!" He yelped out, he moved closer to Seraphina who instantly ran out of the kitchen.

Ethan began to chase after her. 

"ah" Seraphina let out a low tone scream as she felt someone drag her into a dark secluded place, she couldn't see who it was

"shhh" the voice shushed her with a hand on her lip, and Seraphina knew it definitely had to be a lady, but who was it? 

Ethan ran past them.

"It's me, Gabriela " Gabriela whispered to Seraphina, 

"Oh.." Seraphina sighed "Thank you" she added.

Thomas walked into the living room with a gloomy expression on his face, his eyes gazed around for his wife, Olivia. 

He went over to the room they shared but she wasn't there either, all he saw were clothes scattered on the floor, and on the bed was a piece of paper, slowly, with confusion etched on his face, he picked it up. 

"Dear husband, 

I'm sorry,

I can't bear to see my daughter in so much pain, because of the mistakes we have made,

I hope you find peace within yourself, for I have to go in search of mine" 

Thomas' legs felt weak as he read the content scribbled on the paper, He fell to the ground and started to wail out loudly.

Seraphina was seated in the living room of the Sullivans with her arms folded over her chest and her face with a feigned expression, beside her was Ethan who was unexpectedly mute Probably because of his father who was seated a few steps away, his gaze fixed on her. 

She just wished for all of these to end already, she wanted badly to get out of this place. 

Seraphina's phone buzzed with a call, the caller ID showed 'Emergency'

"Who is that?" Ethan asked, his hard gaze on her 

"No one" Seraphina quickly replied, irritated by his question.

Ethan jerked the phone off her hand just as she picked up the call, 

"Hey!!" She yelped out loud but didn't bother to fight for it, she was exhausted already and her mind was in complete chaos being in this place.

She inhaled and sighed.

Ethan, without checking who the caller was, placed the phone on his ears.

"Hello," he said flatly into the phone

"Hello. Is this Miss. Seraphina Steel?" a female voice asked,

"Who are you?" Ethan asked curtly

"This is a call from 911. I'm sorry to inform you that Thomas Steele has passed away." 

Ethan's eyes widened in shock at what he heard, "what are you talking about?" He asked,

Seraphina turned to gaze at him, she sat up as the expression on Ethan's face grew thicker.

Seraphina immediately jerked the phone from Ethan and placed it on her ear just as the 911 operator was about to reply to Ethan.

"Mr. Thomas Steele took his own life," were the words Seraphina heard. It moved her into a temporary stroke as she suddenly couldn't move a single part of her body or even utter a single word...
