Intermission: What happened? Part 4

Chapter Words: 3860

POV – Third Person – Dungeon: 18th Floor (Rivira)

Four hooded people were running through the great forest that was located in the Under Resort, a safe floor where no monsters are born, however, monsters can climb from the floors below or above.

The exceptionally high ceiling is filled with brilliant shining crystals of two colors, white crystals in the center that resemble the sun, and blue crystals surrounding it to resemble the sky. The amount of light from the crystals depends on the time and the cycles throughout the day.

At this time, because the dungeon detected the cycle of the day, sunset, the crystals began to diminish in brightness. And once the sunset ends on the surface, the sparkling crystals will emulate the night.

Inside the forest, where the four people were running, on the trees were blue crystals of different sizes that reflected the light from above, causing the forest to fill with a pale blue glow.

These four people who moved quickly and stealthily inside the forest were scout members of a terrorist group that aims to make as many people as possible suffer. Evilus.

These four people were not normal adventurers. Two of them were Level 3, one of them was Level 2 and another was a High Level 4. Strong evil adventurers that most Orario adventurers couldn't stand up to.

These Evil Adventurers have just finished collecting information for the evil group called Evilus. And they are about to meet at one of the many bases they had inside the dungeon.

The Evilus group planned to make an attack on the City of Rivira soon in order to kill many strong adventurers and thus weaken the strength of Orario and Rivira adventurers. But they couldn't attack if they didn't know that he had disturbed the entire dungeon, causing it to cause both small earthquakes and some massive earthquakes. And that this time the cause of the tremor of the dungeon was not done by Evilus, but for other unknown reasons.

The four adventurers belonging to Evilus stopped abruptly as a large light appeared in front of them. A light that was filled with power, a power that the strongest of the scouting party recognized. The divinity of a god.

The light was so strong that all four of them had to cover their eyes or close them momentarily or else they could go blind. The light disappeared as quickly as it had come.

The level 4 adventurer known as Grey, was the first to open his eyes and what he saw in front of him shocked him and sent a great chill through his entire body.

It looked like a rotting human corpse fused with what was once Spring Bonnie. Now it was nothing more than burned scrap in which the muscles of the corpse adhered to the metal pieces of the animatronic suit.

Muscles were fused corpse into Burntrap's suit. It was much more exposed under the animatronic's chest, the muscles intertwining with the metal cables in the abdomen. And the skull of the corpse full of rotting muscles was fused with the head of what was once Spring Bonnie, one of the ears was broken in half and the other had many holes.

The jawbone of the corpse's face had no metal fused together, exposing total skinless muscles and lipless teeth. The corpse's face had no eyes so the hollow of the eye sockets seemed like a bottomless abyss. The arms and legs were made mostly of metal with a bit of muscle woven into them.

Grey's sense of smell was next to step forward. He was invaded by a great putrid smell and a great stench of death combined with the smell of ash. Grey took a step back, unconsciously holding his nose at the foul odor.

But what disturbed Grey the most about this corpse fused with some kind of rabbit-shaped armor, was the amount of malice and evil that it emanated, its aura of malice was so high and strong that his level 4 adventurer senses were overwhelming him with warnings to escape and run as far away from the decaying corpse as possible.

" What's that?" exclaimed the Level 2 adventurer completely disturbed. His voice was masculine.

"T-this that a corpse?" the woman who was a Level 2 adventurer exclaimed with tremor and anxiety in her voice.

"That weird thing just appeared out of nowhere," Level 3 said with tense muscles. "This shit is totally creepy"

"I think we'd better warn about this" Grey exclaimed. "Let's get out of here. This thing is giving me bad vibes"

The four evil adventurers turned their backs on the corpse and were about to leave the corpse in the forest due to the bad vibrations that this same corpse was emitting, they were interrupted by a movement that resounded behind them, right where the corpse was.

The four Evilus adventurers were startled and turned around to face the corpse. But when they turned around they found no corpse. It was completely empty with no trace of anything there was a dead body in the woods. And although they found nothing, they could still feel death still looming over them.

"Do we imagine them?" the Level 2 woman commented scared.

"No idiot. I'm sure there was a dead body right in front of it" The Level 2 man commented looking around nervously.

"B-but corpses can't move, right?" Level 3 commented clenching his fists so that fear wouldn't consume him.

Before Grey could comment on everyone getting into an emergency fighting stance, something touched Grey's shoulder. Grey's eyes went to the monstrous hands that held him. The too-sharp claws pressed down on him warning him not to make any stupid moves.

A chill ran down the back of the four Evilus adventurers when a cold and dark unknown voice with a strange accent made its presence known.

"He's usually right." The voice spoke calmly. As if she was talking to old friends who once knew each other. "But..." the voice commented before laughing sinisterly "I am not most corpses. I am something far beyond your comprehension and your tiny mind."

Grey looked over his head, only to find the same corpse with two large purple dots in its vacant eye sockets staring at him as if he were an interesting object.

"You know boy I'm confused about where I am and what's going on. So I would appreciate it if you and your friends would explain to me in detail all the questions I want to be answered" The purple glow above the empty eye sockets began to glow in a much more threatening manner and making this glow make it look like normal eyes with black sclera. "And I won't take no for an answer" The monster smiled kindly, but since he had no lips it seemed like a threatening gesture.

Then so that there would be no complaints a large amount of thirst for blood enveloped the four of them causing the four Evilus adventurers to shudder.

"Whoever is afraid of dying should not be born" the Level 3 adventurer shouted in terror, but he still pounced on the monster with all the speed of a Level 3 adventurer.

Unfortunately, the Level 3 adventurer from Evilus messed with the wrong opponent. The being in front of them was William Afton. A person who died when the Springlocks glitch activated in the Spring Bonnie costume. This glitch caused William Afton to have a painful and cruel death.

But death hadn't stopped William from his twisted plans to achieve immortality. The return of death, albeit by being trapped in the Spring Bonnie suit. William Afton's eldest son jokingly named him Springtrap when he found him.

Michael Afton twice attempted to destroy the remnant and the AGONY within William, but unfortunately for the older Afton. William, though he was defeated, they were never able to release the SOUL from him.

All because...

William Afton always came back, no matter what methods people tried to get rid of him and free his soul to leave the world of the living.

HE ALWAYS COMES BACK.

The Level 3 adventurer drew a cursed sword, if he did damage a body with one of these it disabled healing by supernatural means, forcing people to heal naturally.

The Level 3 adventurer attempted to slice the monster in front in half. William Afton still holding his hand on Grey's shoulder, used his free hand to catch the cursed sword with just two of his claw-like metal fingers. Unfazed by the force the Level 3 adventurer used.

The purple glow in his eyes looked curiously at the cursed weapon. "Interesting, it seems that this weapon is not a simple weapon to cut and kill. It has strange energy around it, I would like to know what this energy is." The purple glow landed on the person who had attacked him, then he looked at Grey and leaned his head close to his ear. "I would recommend that you not make a foolish move, we have a lot to talk about" Then he let go of Grey's shoulder and at the same time, he take the weapon from the Level 3 adventurer and throw it to the ground.

A thud was heard through the forest.

"First I have to get rid of the vermin," William Afton commented calmly. And then he moved.

The Level 3 adventurer couldn't react as Burntrap blinked out of sight and grabbed him by the neck lifting him up until his feet were in the air and then smashing the Level 3 adventurer back into the bark of a tree.

Burntrap's strength was so great that it split the tree in half and at the same time a disgusting crack was heard from the Level 3 adventurer's back and blood began to come out due to all the splinters that were embedded in the broken skin. The armor on the adventurer had done little to save him, moreover, the armor on him only harmed him.

William despite impaling the body of the Level 3 adventurer on a log of one of the many trees in the forest. He didn't let go of the body's grip on his throat.

The adventurer was unable to make any sound because of the pressure on his neck that William Afton was exerting. Despite the pain, the Level 3 adventurer tried to free himself, but all the attempts of the Level 3 adventurer belonging to Evilus were in vain.

The purple glow in William's empty eye sockets glowed with interest and curiosity. "Oh. A normal person would have died, but you're still alive and it seems you still have a great fight in you... how interesting. This place makes me so much more curious." William laughed with a sinister evil. "Unfortunately for you, I don't have time to experience how resilient you are. I need information, but I don't need you alive for that. Therefore..."

William in a sudden movement grabbed his arm and ripped it off with a single shot, blood was expelled from the Level 3 adventurer's body in large quantities filling the entire floor. William delighted in the look of pain from a being inferior to him.

"...You're unnecessary" William let go of the adventurer's neck, and as the adventurer was about to hit the ground, he came to a sudden stop as William pierced the adventurer's chest right where the heart was located. After piercing through the adventurer's chest, William jerked his arm out of the adventurer's body, extracting a vital organ from the human body.

The heart in William's robotic hand pounded for a few moments, before William mercilessly crushed it, smearing his entire hand with fresh blood. William looked at the corpse at his feet listlessly before turning his gaze to the three remaining adventurers who were frozen.

William laughed sadistically, very satisfied with the fear he had inflicted on people. "Okay, I guess we have unfinished business to attend to, don't we?" William disappeared and appeared in front of them. "I'd better be satisfied with the information you guys give me. Otherwise…" William didn't finish the sentence, but it was clear what would happen if he was dissatisfied with the results of the information.

The three remaining Evilus adventurers swallowed hard, resigning themselves to their fate. They could only follow the orders of this being or else they would die and their deaths would be in vain. So they have no choice but to obey.

William Afton asked and the Evilus adventurers answered.

After hearing the answers that the Evilus adventurers gave William he had no choice but to believe them no matter how absurd they sounded. After all a few seconds ago William Afton was about to die for sadistic bitch Cassidy and busybody Gregory and Glamrock Freddy, because of Vanessa's worthlessness. And now he was in this strange forest and much stronger than William had been before he came out of the machine that repaired this body to a functional condition.

In front of William were three people who had the blessing of a god. And not just any god, an evil one who sought the destruction of Orario, the proper place for many gods and home to many adventurers. Which would greatly complicate his plans.

Besides, William didn't know if he was the only one to get to this stupid fantasy world, so he needed a way to go unnoticed, And what better place to hide out for a while than a bunch of mad cultists who want to cause as much destruction and bloodshed in the world.

And with his power, he could force them to obey out of fear and if it didn't work, well, William was going to kill them all, but not before experimenting on some of them.

William Afton looked at the three people in front of him. They were nervously waiting for any action or movement on his part. "I have a goal in my life and if you help me, I can give you a little help in your wild and bloody plans" William smiled sweetly. "We can help each other in both objectives, but if you try to go against me, what I did to your friend will be nothing compared to what I'm going to do to all of you." William laughed cruelly and raised a hand towards them "Keep that in mind. So what do you think about my offer?"

Grey looked at the other two who were holding their breath waiting for Grey's response. Gray looked at the monster he now called William Afton before smiling with false confidence dismissing all his fears and accepting the handshake.

Grey for some reason felt that this offer was going to bite them much later, but he had no other choice. If we are lucky, the ancient adventurers of the Hera and Zeus Familia could assassinate him.

William chuckled before walking over to Grey and placing a hand on his shoulders. "I'm glad you accepted, boy. You don't want to know what would happen if you rejected me."

A chill ran through Grey "...What would have happened?" Grey asked with morbid curiosity. But that was a mistake.

William let go of Grey's shoulder, his eyes flashing with sadistic pleasure. "It's good that you asked my dear boy" William smiled before disappearing.

Two clicks were heard. William Afton cut off the heads of both Level 2 adventurers and showed no mercy. William Afton looked at the heads that rolled on the floor with satisfaction before turning to look at Grey.

"I hope this satisfies your curiosity my dear boy" Then to drive home his point William Afton smashed the adventurer's head like a too-soft watermelon, splattering the ground and his robotic leg with blood.

William laughed at Grey's terrified expression. "Well, what are you waiting for? Lead the way. I can't wait to surprise you with your bunch of religious freaks."

Grey drew a shaky breath before complying, not really wanting to anger this absolute monster. The way he casually murdered like it hadn't been a big deal, the normal laugh that wasn't maniacal, but like someone had told a good joke and his warm and pleasant tone of voice. It was too creepy and that's not to mention his monstrous form of him.

Grey was sure that even Arachnia wasn't that scary.

With the noose around his neck, metaphorically. Grey started walking towards one of the Evilus bases.

Confidential information.

William Afton. Vengeful Ghost. – Burntrap. High Level 7.

Change of zone – Far from Orario.

On what looked like a road was a carriage heading to Orario. But the carriage was not important, nor was the person who was driving the carriage towards Orario. What was important and interesting was the two people inside the carriage.

One of them was a small boy with fair skin, messy brown hair, and brown eyes. He has bandages on his right cheek as well as on his left knee. He wears a blue undershirt with a pale blue collar and two white stripes placed horizontally across his chest. He also wears tan shorts. As for his footwear, he wears white socks and white, red, and cyan sneakers with dark gray soles. This 11-year-old boy is called Gregory.

The other person was a fair-skinned woman with shoulder-length blonde hair pulled back in a ponytail, freckles, and green eyes. She wore the security guard outfit consisting of dark gray pants and a white shirt with the Fazbear Entertainment logo, darker accented shoulder pads, and a dark gray cap with the word "Security" on it. This 23-year-old adult woman was named Vanessa.

The boy put a hand to his cheek as his left leg moved restlessly. "This is boring. Can't I go faster with this?" Gregory complained.

Vanessa stared blankly at the children who had saved her life. "Stop complaining we can't do anything. We can only wait and get to this place called Orario and then look for the person mentioned in the letter"

Gregory clicked his tongue. "Remind me because I have to be with you instead of Freddy. Plus because we're following a stupid letter, we don't even know if what it says is true," Gregory commented while frowning.

Vanessa sighed putting a hand to the bridge of her nose "Look I know we didn't get off to the best start..."

"That's quite an understatement ma'am." Gregory looked at her suspiciously.

"...But this person is the only clue we can use to get back home." Vanessa ignored Gregory's comment even if it hurt her. She didn't do it on purpose, her body was controlled by a psychopath obsessed with immortality. Give her a break. "So we don't have a choice. Unless you have a better idea."

As Gregory just glared at her and didn't respond. Vanessa continued "If you don't have a better idea then stop acting like a brat"

"Well excuse me in case I don't think it's a great idea to go to a place that is unknown to me, in a world that I don't know, with the person who tried to kill me for several nights, to find a person who can't even exist" Gregory snapped. His arms trembled with uncertainty and fear of the unknown. Even so, he pushed away that fear immediately, he had been through a lot so he shouldn't be afraid of this search.

Vanessa made a startled, hurt face. "I thought we already agreed that my circumstances were not my fault! Also, keep your voice down unless you want the driver to find out about us." Vanessa frowned. "It's partly your fault that we ended up in this world. If only you had left Pizzaplex then none of this would have happened."

Gregory rolled his eyes. "Then you'd still be under the control of that crazy psychopath."

"I didn't ask for your help, nor did I need it. I had everything under control, I was just looking for the perfect moment to snap out of it," Vanessa snapped with a frown.

Gregory gave her a blank look as he raised an eyebrow in disbelief "But how many more kids would have to die before you took the initiative? Face it without my help you wouldn't have freed yourself from that fucking psychopathic piece of shit."

Vanessa clenched her fists as she closed her eyes as she tried with all her might not to remember what that bastard William did to those poor children with her body. And even though she knew it wasn't her fault. Vanessa couldn't help but feel guilty for her actions. If she hadn't played that stupid game of Five Nights at Freddy's then that fucking psychopath would never have taken over her body.

Gregory sighed before linking his arms and looking down at his feet. "I'm sorry. I know you don't have it easy either. I don't want to imagine what you must be going through... It's just... it's..." Gregory frowned. He frowned before shaking his head. "Never mind we just go through our stupid search and see what we do after what we find." Gregory looked into Vanessa's eyes. "By the way, who is the person we're looking for?"

Vanessa hesitated, she still wasn't sure if what the letter said was real, but if the letter is real, then they would be looking for someone who thought it was just fiction (that was before she realized the game was based on true events) A person who could perhaps give Gregory and her hope.

"Michael," Vanessa commented. "The person we're looking for is Michael Afton," she said. While Gregory looked at her surprised recognizing the name.

And how not to recognize it. If he was the protagonist of almost all the Five Nights at Freddy VR games. And they were able to learn part of the character's history thanks to the horror game (Although obviously, they didn't know everything, only what the game contributed to attracting the public).

Vanessa and Gregory wondered what holds them in this new world. I just hoped it wasn't another horror show.
