C87: Level 8 stats, new skills, Confusion

As Raikou finishes up both Haruhime's and Aisha's status, she moves onto Axel, He has successfully reached level 8. She notices his newest soul based skill and nods her head in mock understanding of the 'esoteric' message. She then resets his stats and brings up his own development skills.

He continues to have the same skills as before: hunter, crush, fistfighter, mage, blacksmith, luck. Yet there are now three new additions to this list from last time: Champion, Revenant, Protoss.

Haruhime and Aisha get dressed while Raikou tells Axel his options. He ponders as he is obviously not taking the previous ones, they didn't interest him before and they don't now either. He begins to contemplate the possibilities of what the skills might be able to do. Champion doesnt appear too impressive, He considers it to be a more restrictive juggernaut mixed with life resonance which means just a boost to strength and endurance. Revenant could be related to his new soul based abilities as he has been using his shades for a long time now and this never appeared which is why Axel assumes that it's related to the inflicting soul damage and might be a general boost for that soul fragment alone.

As for Protoss, he has no real clue what it might be. Raikou quickly informed him that the word protoss simply means "First". Axel feels in his guts that he should choose this one as it's simply on the same style skill as Mystery which can not truly be understood but its usage is obvious. It's magic or essence related. Yet what puzzles him is what type of essence it focuses on.

"Ill go with Protoss, if nothing new appears next time around then ill go for Revenant next. Champion can be last if nothing new appears." Axel makes his choice and Raikou wholly supports Axel in it as she selects Protoss and his status settles back down onto his back. She copies it over onto a piece of paper like she did with the previous two before Axel gets dressed and takes a look at his status.

Flame Wave: An intense blast of fire magic that spreads out in a 10ft cone in front of the user.

FlameBolt- fire formed into a spear-like structure that possesses exceptional piercing power.

Mind manipulation- low leveled mind control spell that is only useful for making suggestions, can be overridden if intellect is high enough (weak monsters only)

<Modified > Reinforcement magic (trace): enhance aspects of an item through its physical aspects. Can copy items up to 50% original power, cannot exceed level limit. Can reinforce flesh and human body parts, enhancing durability and minor improvement overall power.

Minor Illusion control: Create small scale sounds and flashes of images that could serve as distraction

Lightning shock-close quarters lightning spell that can be enchanted upon a weapon or armor for extra dmg/defense.

Bolt Lightning- a lightning bolt that can reach up to 100ft.

<Self made><Incomplete > Firestorm- A mix of fire and lightning. Akin to a volcanic explosion with the lack of earth element which prevents it from reaching its full power.

Wind Blades- sent out 5 or more blades of wind that can inflict injuries of various size and severity.

Shikigami creation.: summon a creature or being that is linked to the user via affinities, elemental or otherwise.

2nd magic: Operation of Parallel Memories. Bond of memories and aspects which allows the user to move through the unknown.

Gravity magic- wormhole, Wave of Darkness (gravity well), Nebula, Reverse Gravity, Meteorite.Crush

Anima Scissa- Holders of this skill are torn beyond construction and thus are unable to use magic. Comparably, the possessor may tap into the power of their soul to unearth new found abilities comparable to magic. When the vessel possesses enough power, new fragments may be unearthed.

AS(Magister daemonium): tapping into the soul, the user may exhibit the power of a gluttonous demon who may consume the strength of others through the incantation, "Shadows of the Abyss, I AM the Endless, Rapture of Power and Possessor of All that Belongs to Others." Level 2 incantation: I am the endless, Rapture of Power and Possessor of All that Belongs to Others. Level 3: incantation: I am the endless, Possessor of All. Level 4: I am the Endless.

AS(parasitica corpus): allows controlled body manipulation (only self) which can refine muscles to draw out enhanced strength temporarily. Transformations rely on Mind to maintain. Call out the incantation "Mura" to direct energy according to the user's thoughts. Distractions can negate the transformation.

AS (Odr): A binding of love and commitment that can never be broken. This skill serves as the eternal reminder. You share aspects of those you love and love you back.

AS(Umbra Sui): A shattered soul cannot simply rest in passivity. Provides a semi corporeal body to provide assistance to the user. Incantation is "Shade that I am". For the next 5 minutes, can freely manipulate the formed shades according to their specialties.

1. Magisters Daemonium- gluttonous spirit that creates shockwaves of devouring force

2. Parasitica Corpus- a nimble spirit that manipulates it's own body to shred thine enemies.

3. Umbra Sui-An elfish spirit that overlays the user's power in the form of shockwaves.

4. Caro Irae/Invictum Furorem - A 6 armed bulky figure that can be overlayed by other spirits to grant them similar physiques and greatly enhanced strength.

5. Stella Flagelli/ StellaIntuitu - A armored Giant figure that is at minimum 25 ft tall, Intuitu allows enhanced channeling of other shades onto itself. Gravity Manipulation unlocked while enhanced with Caro Irae.

6. Vestibulum Vitae larva - The threads of life shall serve as the medium for unrivaled rest.

7. Resonantia Arma - The mad scientist walks amongst us once more. Scythe in hand to deliver madness.

8. Lacedaemonius deus - Summon the Ghost of Sparta to unleash his wrath against all monstrous and divine bodies.

AS (Caro Irae): Thine body is a divine temple for untold rage. The god of wrath has descended upon thy flesh, granting thee the Asuran Physique and Might.

AS(Invictum Furorem): Rage is a powerful tool for the Asura, Godhood and invincibility are the result of such rage. Rage is a catalyst for unmistaken power. Rage = power. Deathly blows are not fatal under this state. Temporarily sets Berserker Development skill to EX rank.

AS (anima resonantia arma [1]):Manifest thy soul into thy weapon. Bring about the soul slayer to greater heights. Hunters, Witches, kishin, Death made manifest through thy resonance. Soul in question cannot manifest in other forms.

Limit Break: A status that goes beyond simple mortality. Users receive extra Excellia facing foes of a higher level.

Eclipse Seal: Limits all stat USAGE to only S grade (999) except Endurance, does NOT restrict overall stat growth. All development skills while Seal are active rise by 2 levels.

As Axel examines his new status and the strength flowing through him. He feels a strange itch on his back but even after rubbing it away, it returns. He keeps scratching at it to no avail.

Raikou asks "is something the matter dear?"

"I don't know. My back just feels super itchy and I cant seem to make it go away" Raikou steps forward once and lifts part of his shirt to take a look at his back and is stunned to find that his Falna is now a bright red in it's entirety. It has to be noted that Axel has not been scratching all that hard or even directly on his back. The falna is just red.

Haruhime and Aisha who witness this are also confused as they see this sight. They feel his back and there is no heat or any signs of abrasions from the falna. Raikou decides to get Kaoruko to get her opinion on this matter.

Yet as she arrives the redness begins to fade and with it the itchiness. Axel got a bit sweaty and was breathing a bit hard as he seriously contemplated ripping apart his own back. He could feel his falna being nothing more than a hot steel brand upon his back. He experienced something similar during the Mantra ritual but to a different degree as that was modifying his body to harness the new energy. It's only at the end that he felt pain upon his soul due to its minor change of elevating from mortal to demi god.

Yet this time, it had wholly impacted his soul and only that. An agonizing pain the likes of which was akin to being torn apart.

"Hah, hah. Hah. I'm fine now. It's over. But i'd like to know what caused that"

Kaoruko appears reserved or contemplative while Raikou steps forward again to soothe Axel. He sits down until the pain finally ends. He fixes his shirt and is helped to his personal room by the trio. Kaoruko alone remains in the living room, lost in thought.

[1] Means Soul Resonance-Armament. The ability works similar to the shade ability but instead of shades, the soul fragments are manifested as different weapons, akin to devil arms from dmc but this is the soul eater's original ability. It's typically done in terms of compatible duos but Axel can resonate with his own soul fragments to create unique burst abilities with each weapon
