Chapter 3: The Meeting of Blades

[A/N: Hello, everyone, your fellow author is back with another rewrite. I've made some adjustments and tweaked the timeline a bit. As you should know it's been at least 7 or 8 months since Aether joined the familia.

Do vote and comment if you found any mistakes just comment me]

The sun began its descent, casting a warm and enchanting glow over the bustling city of Orario, a place that seamlessly blended the contemporary and the historical. Skyscrapers towered high, coexisting with ancient landmarks that held the secrets of centuries past.

Orario was celebrated for its rich cultural diversity, a place where people from all corners of the world came to chase their aspirations. It was a tapestry of different traditions and heritages, a city that celebrated its diversity with vibrant festivals, bustling markets, and the irresistible aroma of street food that filled the air.

As the Astraea Familia returned to their home, the Stardust Garden, they found themselves in a tranquil oasis amidst the urban sprawl. This garden, nestled in the heart of Orario, was a haven of calm, offering a stark contrast to the city's relentless energy. It was adorned with exotic flowers, delicate sculptures, and soothing fountains, their melodies harmonising with the gentle rustle of leaves in the evening breeze.

Aether, still feeling the workout from his training, was walking with Lyra. They wandered through the garden, which was lit up with soft lanterns. It was a peaceful place to unwind, and with the city's lights in the background, it was quite a sight.

Lyra turned to Aether with a mischievous glint in her eyes. "You did well today, Aether. Your lightning magic is truly remarkable, and your swordsmanship rivals even seasoned adventurers. I have a feeling you'll make quite a name for yourself in no time."

Aether blushed at the compliment, feeling a sense of pride welling up within him. "Thank you, Lyra. Your guidance has been invaluable. I couldn't have come this far without your support." As time passes Aether become more formal with his familia members, even Ryuu started calling him by his name

Lyra chuckled softly, "Don't mention it, Aether. It's been a pleasure watching you grow. I believe in you, and I know you'll accomplish great things."

As they reached the hallway leading to their respective rooms, He had settled into his living quarters, a cosy room adorned with simple furnishings. It was situated near the rooms of Ryuu and Alise, the proximity allowing for easy interaction and camaraderie.

Entering his room, Aether took a moment to appreciate the tranquillity it offered. The soft glow of a lantern illuminated the space, casting a warm and inviting ambiance. His belongings were neatly arranged, a testament to his meticulous nature.

Settling onto his bed, his face become gloomy and his thoughts drifted to the challenges that awaited him in the days to come. The shadow of the One-Eyed Black Dragon weighed heavily on his thoughts. It was a constant reminder of the tough task he had in front of him. He knew he had to face this mighty creature but would that be enough? Would defeating the OEBD is enough for everyone happiness?.

*Knock* *Knock*

"...."

*Knock* *Knock*

Lost in contemplation, Aether was jolted back to reality by a knock on his door. Startled, he rose from his bed and opened the door to find Astraea standing there, her presence radiating serenity.

"May I come in, Aether?" Astraea asked, her voice gentle.

Aether nodded, stepping aside to allow her entry. "Of course, Lady Astraea. Please, make yourself comfortable."

Astraea entered the room, her eyes scanning the surroundings with a serene curiosity. She took a seat on a cushioned chair, gesturing for Aether to join her. Aether sat across from her, feeling a mixture of excitement and trepidation.

"I wanted to have a private conversation with you, Aether," Astraea began, her voice carrying a weight of significance. "There is something I wish to discuss."

Aether leaned forward, his gaze fixed on Astraea. "I'm all ears, Lady Astraea. What would you like to talk about?"

Astraea smiled, a flicker of admiration dancing in her eyes. "It's about your journey, Aether. Your desire to become stronger and protect the world from evil. It resonates deeply with me, for I too have dedicated my existence to safeguarding the people of Orario."

Aether keep listening

"I believe that our paths have crossed for a reason," Astraea continued. "Together, we can accomplish great things. The Astraea Familia can become a force of light and hope in this city, fighting against the shadows that threaten its peace."

Aether's eyes widened, a surge of

happiness welling up within him.

'So it's about time i can do that now' he thought showing a great smile

"I believe in your potential, Aether," Astraea said, her voice filled with unwavering confidence. "With your unique abilities and unwavering spirit, you have the power to inspire and lead. So Aether will you give me your strength to protect Orario alongside my beloved children."

Aether felt gratitude and admiration for Astraea. Her words resonate deeply within him, fueling his determination to become stronger and protect those he cared about.

"Yes, Lady Astraea," Aether replied, his voice filled with sincerity. "I am honoured to be a part of the Astraea Familia. I will do everything in my power to live up to your expectations and fulfil our shared purpose."

Astraea nodded, a serene smile gracing her lips. "I have no doubt that you will, Aether. We will support each other and face the challenges that lie ahead together."

As their conversation came to a close, Aether was happy that his goddess trusted him, from that day onwards Aether was allowed to join the regular patrols of the familia but because he was still young so Astraea decided 2 executives from his familia will join him.

Alise was more than happy that Aether will be joining in the Patrols, she squeezed his face on his silver chest plate leaving the boy pale blue.

'Grandpa, this wasn't the heavenly sensation you described to me.' the boy thought before passing out.

In the following days, Aether's training intensified as he sparred with Ryuu and others, honing his skills in both magic and swordsmanship. Their practice sessions became longer and more intense, pushing Aether to his limits. Ryuu, impressed by his progress, it somehow scared her, as he was squeezing most of their techniques.

Meanwhile, Aether also found himself growing closer to Kaguya, who admired his dedication and unwavering spirit. They spent time together, sharing stories and even her life in the far east. Aether's kind and genuine nature drew Kaguya to him, forming friendship and mutual support.

Within the familia, Aether witnessed the strength and unique abilities of each member. Neze's fierce determination, Lyra's keen intellect, and Alise's straightforward nature all contributed to the dynamic energy within the group. They worked together, complementing each other's strengths, and supporting one another in their pursuit of greatness.

As days turned into weeks, and weeks turn into months, Aether's presence became a source of inspiration for the Astraea Familia. His unwavering spirit and pure heart served as a guiding light, reminding them of their purpose and the importance of their mission. Astraea herself couldn't help but be captivated by Aether's presence, sensing a purity and strength within him that resonated with her own ideals.

One day, Aether, Ryuu, and Alise decided to venture deeper into the dungeon's dark and mysterious depths. Their footsteps echoed through the narrow, dimly lit corridors, creating an atmosphere of anticipation and tension. The scent of decayed flesh and the distant, unsettling noises of unseen creatures crawling in the shadows filled the air,

As they reached the 7th floor, they were met with the sight of a fierce skirmish.

A blond girl, her sword a blur of silver, danced amidst a group of war shadows. Aether's eyes widened in awe as he watched her graceful movements, her every strike precise and deadly. Ryuu and Alise stood beside him, equally captivated by the display of skill.

"Who is she?" Aether whispered to Alise, his voice filled with admiration.

Alise, her gaze fixed on the girl, replied, "That's Ais Wallenstein, Alias Doll Princess, one of the most talented swordswomen in Orario. She's a Level 2 adventurer from the Loki Familia."

(image)

Aether's heart raced with excitement. He couldn't help but feel drawn to her strength and elegance. Gathering his resolve, he waited until the battle reached its climax and the last war shadow fell.

Alise makes her way over to Riveria, eager to discuss Ais's growth and progress. She approaches Riveria with a warm smile, her eyes shining with anticipation.

"Hey Riveria, How's Ais doing. Are you still wacthing over her."

(image)

Riveria's eyes light up at Alise's words, a sense of frustration evident in her expression. "Yes, Ais can be a handful. If she isn't down here slaying monsters then she's back home training constantly."

"Hehe, you know, it's important to rest every now and again."

Just as they finish their conversation, the dust begins to settle, revealing Ais's figure. She walks back towards Riveria, her mentor and her motherly figure, her clothes stained with blood and dirt, her hair dishevelled from the intensity of the battle. Riveria's stern expression softens, a mixture of concern and affection in her eyes.

Without hesitation, Riveria bonks Ais gently on the head, scolding her in a playful yet chastising tone. "Ais, what have I told you about being reckless? Look at yourself, all bruised and dirty. You need to take better care of yourself during battles!"

Ais winces slightly at Riveria's scolding. She nods in response, her actions speaking louder than words. She appreciates Riveria's concern and knows that her mentor only wants the best for her.

Alise steps forward, her gaze filled with both concern and admiration. "Ais, you took quite a beating out there. Are you okay?"

Ais nods, a determined glint in her eyes. "I'm fine, Alise. Battles can be tough, but I've learned to push through. I won't let a few bruises stop me from becoming stronger."

Riveria sighs, her voice filled with a mix of exasperation and affection. "Just as always, Ais. Always pushing yourself to the limit. But remember, being a great adventurer also means taking care of yourself and knowing your limits."

Ais gives a small nod in acknowledgment. She understands Riveria's advice, even if she doesn't say much in response. Actions speak louder than words for Ais, and she is determined to prove herself through her actions.

Aether, meanwhile, took this opportunity to approach Ais, who had finished her conversation with Riveria. Ais turned her gaze towards him, her eyes holding a touch of curiosity.

"Hello," he said, his voice calm and composed. "I couldn't help but be impressed by your skills in battle. My name is Aether Cranel, a member of the Astraea Familia."

Ais just stood there and looked at him. She wasn't entirely sure how to respond to him at first, Riveria's lessons on proper introductions and social decorum echoed in her mind. With a nod, Ais responded.

"Aether," she said, her voice soft but confident. "I am Ais Wallenstein, It is a pleasure to meet you."

Aether's smile widened, pleased that Ais acknowledged him. "The pleasure is all mine" he replied with sincerity. "Your swordsmanship is truly remarkable."

Ais, her demeanour softening ever so slightly, nodded in acknowledgment. "Thank you," she replied, her voice holding a touch of appreciation.

Alise, noticing the exchange, joined them once again. "Well, well, Aether, it seems you've caught the attention of the Doll Princess herself!" Alise exclaimed, playfully nudging Aether. "Allow me to introduce you properly. This is Riveria Ljos Alf, the renowned Mage of the Loki Familia."

Aether turned his attention to Riveria, bowing respectfully. "Miss Riveria, it's an honour to meet you. I look forward to contributing to the Astraea Familia's justice & endeavours."

Riveria raised an eyebrow but continued to look at Aether with a friendly smile, "So you are the boy who joined Astraea familia, Your skills have already garnered praise from your fellow members. I trust you will prove to be a valuable asset in Astraea Familia." She spoke her eyes filled with wisdom and compassion

With the introductions concluded, Aether couldn't help but feel a sense of determination. He wanted to show Ais his abilities, Aether, his eyes gleaming with resolve, decided to seize the opportunity to showcase his skills to Ais. "Ais," he said, his voice filled with determination, "would you be interested in a joint dive? It would be a chance for us to learn from each other."

Ais glanced at him, her gaze slightly curious yet guarded. "Sure," she replied, her tone measured.

With that, the trio of adventurers with Ais and Riveria made their way to a suitable location within the Dungeon. they progress much faster than before.

The air crackled with anticipation Aether drew his sword, the glint of steel catching the light, while Ais readied her own weapon, her eyes focused and determined.

They were on par with each other and she only thought ryuu was her only competition as they levelled up at similar times with Ais being faster. What Ais wasn't ready for was the little boy who could keep up with both of them. Riveria saw the boy in action for the first time and was surprised, his combat skill was even better than Ais'.

Hours passed by, Aether and Ais fought side by side, their movements flowing seamlessly as they dispatched the monsters. Aether's swordsmanship was a dance of precision and grace, while Ais's wind magic swept through the air, bringing down their enemies with swift gusts.

Riveria watched with keen interest as Aether's skills unfolded before her eyes. "Your swordsmanship is truly exceptional, Aether," she praised, her voice carrying a touch of awe. Aether, catching his breath, offered a grateful smile. "Thank you, Riveria. The guidance of my family and the training here at Astraea Familia have played a significant role in my growth."

Ais, standing beside them, observed their interaction quietly, her eyes glinting with curiosity. Though she rarely spoke, her interest in Aether's strength was evident. With a nod, she asked, "How did you become so strong?" Her voice held a tinge of curiosity, a rare glimpse into her inquisitive nature.

Aether's gaze softened as he recalled his father's teachings. "My father, an esteemed adventurer, trained me from a young age," he shared, a touch of nostalgia colouring his voice. "He instilled in me a love for the art of combat and taught me the importance of perseverance and discipline."

Ais's expression shifted for a moment, a flicker of recognition passing through her eyes. Memories of her own father, the legendary Hero Albert, flashed briefly in her mind. A small smile played at her lips as she remarked, "He must have loved you deeply to impart such valuable knowledge."

Aether returned her smile, touched by the connection they shared through their fathers. "Yes, He did," he replied, his voice filled with warmth. "My father's teachings continue to guide me, even in his absence."

As the battle continued, Aether and Ais fought with renewed determination, their movements becoming even more fluid and coordinated. The monsters summoned on the floor seemed to increase in intensity, but their combined strength proved formidable.

With each strike of Aether's sword and each gust of Ais's wind, the monsters were swiftly vanquished. Riveria watched their progress with a mixture of pride and anticipation, confident in their abilities.

After a particularly intense clash, Aether turned to Alise, his expression filled with gratitude. "Thank you, Alise," he said sincerely. "Your guidance and support have been invaluable in my journey here."

Alise eyes twinkled with satisfaction as she nodded in acknowledgement. "Fufu, Yes show me more praise, but remember you have shown tremendous growth," she replied. "Do note this is just the beginning. There is still much to learn and overcome."

Ais, still mostly reserved in her demeanour, couldn't help but be drawn to Aether's quiet strength and determination. Though despite being a level 2 Adventurer, Aether still rivalled her without struggling, she can't help but think, 'How did he acquire such strength, didn't she also get trained by Riveria and others, so how's he feel more stronger?' Her thoughts carried a hint of vulnerability, a desire to understand his journey.

As the battle continued, Aether and Ais fell into a rhythm, their movements synchronised as they effortlessly dispatched the remaining monsters. Their unspoken connection grew stronger with each passing moment.

In that moment, as the last monster fell, Aether and Ais stood side by side, their breathing steady and their gazes locked. A flicker of something unfamiliar passed through Ais's eyes-a glimmer of admiration, perhaps, even a spark of camaraderie or was it something else.

The battle concluded, and Aether turned to Ais with a gentle smile, his silver-white hair shimmering in the fading sunlight. His blue eyes sparkled with warmth and gratitude as he spoke. "Let's do it again, Ais. We make a great team," he said, his voice filled with genuine admiration. "Thank you for fighting alongside me."

Ais, her expression softened by the genuine connection she felt with Aether, nodded in response. She was still learning to understand these newfound emotions stirring within her, but she couldn't deny the sense of fulfilment she felt in that moment.

Ais turned towards Riveria, her mentor and guiding presence, seeking permission for what she had in mind. "Riveria, can I? ."

Riveria regarded Ais with a mix of sternness and affection. She understood the potential in their partnership and recognized the growth Ais had shown alongside Aether. After a moment of contemplation, she nodded, granting her permission. "Very well, Ais. As long as one of us is present and supervising, I trust that you and Aether can continue to support each other in battle. But remember, safety and caution should always be your top priorities."

Ais's face lit up with a small smile, grateful for Riveria's trust and support. She knew that she still had much to learn, but having the opportunity to fight alongside Aether would undoubtedly accelerate her growth as an adventurer.

As the trio gathered their breath and prepared to head back to the Stardust Garden, Riveria noticed a contemplative look in Ais's eyes. Sensing her curiosity and the importance of the moment, Riveria decided to grant her a private conversation. With a slight inclination of her head, she silently requested Ais to follow her, leading them away from the bustling noise of the dungeon.

Outside, surrounded by the tranquillity of the open air, Ais found the courage to voice the questions that had been weighing on her mind. Her voice was filled with curiosity and a hint of vulnerability as she spoke. "Riveria, why do I feel light right now?"

Riveria regarded her young charge with a tender smile, her eyes reflecting both wisdom and a motherly affection. "Well, if you're not sick or tired which you're not, it means you feel happy about something,"

"Happy?"

she explained gently. "It's the warmth that comes from forming connections, the joy of sharing experiences with others, and the growth that comes from understanding oneself."

Ais listened intently, absorbing every word. Her heart felt a sense of relief as she realised that these emotions were not something to be feared, but rather a beautiful part of her existence.

Riveria continued, her voice filled with warmth and guidance. "Emotions can be both powerful and delicate, Ais. They can inspire us, but they can also cloud our judgement. It is important to embrace these feelings but also maintain a sense of balance and focus. As an adventurer, you must learn to navigate the complexities of emotions while remaining true to your goals and responsibilities."

Ais absorbed Riveria's words, feeling a sense of clarity and reassurance wash over her. She understood that her journey as an adventurer was not just about honing her physical skills but also about navigating the intricacies of human emotions.

"Thank you, Riveria," Ais said, her voice filled with gratitude.

Riveria smiled, her eyes reflecting pride and affection. She had witnessed Ais's growth, not just as a skilled warrior but also as an individual who was learning to navigate the complexities of human connections. She knew that Ais was destined for greatness, both as a warrior and as someone who would inspire and support others on their own journeys.

Ais nodded, a newfound determination settling within her. She was determined to continue exploring these emotions, to understand herself and the world around her.

Their conversation concluded, they made their way back to the rest of the familia, Ais's gaze met Aether's who was going back too, and for a moment, a glimmer of understanding passed between them. Ais and Aether rejoined their respective Familias. Ais carried with her a newfound determination-to continue exploring her emotions, to understand herself and the world around her, and to embrace the bonds she had formed.

The bond between Aether and Ais continued to grow, fueled by their shared experiences, their unspoken understanding, and the journey of self-discovery that lay ahead. With each passing day, they would learn more about themselves and each other, their connection solidifying into something unbreakable.

Over time, Aether and Ais grew closer, their bond evolving from friendship to something deeper. Together, they would take either Riveria or one of the girls depending on who had time and they trained in the dungeon. It began to turn more into a game for them where they competed to see who killed more monsters by counting their magic stones at the end since monsters only drop one. Some days Bell one and some Ais won, but they enjoyed this and Riveria was happy that Ais had something else in life other than her hate for monsters

Sometimes they trained at the Stardust Garden, engaging in intense sparring sessions that bolstered Aether's skills even further. As they pushed each other to their limits, Aether's abilities soared, leaving Ais impressed with his remarkable growth.

One day, as Ais summoned a powerful gust of wind to overpower Aether, but she got surprised when he envelops himself in a crackling lightning cloak, augmenting his strength. Ais's eyes widened in surprise as she witnessed his control over lightning magic. "You can use lightning magic too?" she asked, curiosity lacing her voice.

Aether nodded, a smile curling on his lips. "Indeed, it's a rare talent I was born with though it takes years of training to cultivate it. My mother, a skilled mage and my grandpa, taught me the art of harnessing lightning."

Intrigued by his dual prowess in both magic and combat, Ais expressed her fascination. "That's remarkable. How did you become proficient in both areas? I've never encountered anyone like you before."

Aether smirked "Simple through hard work"

(image)

"Hmm" Ais just started at him giving a look of disappointment

"W-What Happened?!" He asked with a slight

"Just how many time you are gonna tell me that, Tell me the whole story" she said with a small pout

"Y-Yes"

Aether's eyes shine with enthusiasm as he recounted his journey. "It all began with my mother, who imparted her magical knowledge to me. I dedicated countless hours to refining my control and mastering various spells. But it was my father, who instilled in me the passion for combat. He trained me in swordsmanship, ensuring I developed not only magical proficiency but also physical prowess."

As Aether finished speaking, Ais listened attentively, her gaze fixed upon him with admiration and a touch of longing. She pondered whether to share her own secret, hesitant yet yearning for the same level of connection. Finally, she mustered the courage to speak.

"Aether"

"Hmm?"

"I, too, have something to reveal," she confessed, her voice tinged with vulnerability.

Sensing her inner turmoil, Aether gently hug her, offering reassurance. "Ais, you don't have to divulge anything you're not ready for. Our friendship is built on trust, and I'll always be here for you, no matter what."

Ais's eyes gleamed as her tense expression softened, and a grateful smile graced her lips. "Thank you. Your understanding means the world to me."

They shared a silent moment, their unspoken words conveying a deep sense of trust and connection. Ais felt a warmth blossom within her, knowing she had found someone she could rely on in the dungeon world they inhabited.

Their interaction deepened the bond between Aether and Ais, the warmth of their connection enveloping them in a comforting embrace. Ais felt a sense of solace in Aether's comforting words and the strength of his arms around her. Her troubled heart found refuge in his presence, and she couldn't help but feel a faint blush creeping onto her cheeks.

Aether chuckled softly, his eyes filled with warmth as he noticed the rosy hue on Ais's face. "You're adorable when you blush, Ais," he teased playfully, his voice filled with affection.

Ais's blush deepened, and she playfully nudged him, a small smile gracing her lips. "Umm don't tease me" she hit his shoulder as Aether kept laughing, The ease and familiarity between them made their moments of vulnerability feel natural and cherished.

As they continued to bask in their connection, the sound of footsteps approached from the distance. It was Riveria, arriving at the Stardust Garden to escort Ais back to her familia. Ais reluctantly released herself from Aether's embrace, her eyes reflecting a mixture of gratitude and longing.

Riveria observed the duo with a knowing smile, her wise gaze encompassing their intertwined spirits. She approached them, her voice gentle yet firm. "It's time to return, Ais. Your familia awaits."

Ais nodded, her expression tinged with a hint of sadness as she turned to Aether. "Thank you, Aether. Today has been... meaningful. I appreciate your support, let's do it again next."

Aether smiled warmly, his eyes shining with sincerity. "Sure, The feeling is mutual, Ais. You can always count on me. Until we meet again, take care."

As Ais walked towards Riveria, she couldn't help but steal one last glance at Aether, their connection lingering in the air. She knew that their paths would intersect again, and the adventures they would share would continue to shape their bond with that they bid farewell.

As going back home Ais Asked Riveria

"Riveria, today I really feel warm inside when I talk to Aether, is this happiness?"

"Yes, if you're feeling good then it sure is happiness, remember always cherish these feelings" Riveria said with a smile seeing her daughter like figure finally opening to other

"Yes" she nods, giving her a small smile.

With that they went back to their home where her family awaits.

As the moon illuminated the night sky, Aether found solace in his regular late-night conversations with Astraea. They sat on the rooftop of their familia's residence, the cool breeze gently rustling their hair.

Astraea, always the caring and protective older sister figure, looked at Aether with a tender smile. "You know, Aether, I'll always be here for you. No matter what challenges you face, I'll do everything in my power to protect you."

Aether's eyes sparkled with gratitude as he returned her smile. "I appreciate it, Lady Astraea. Your support means the world to me. Having you by my side gives me the strength to keep pushing forward."

A comfortable silence enveloped them as they gazed at the starry sky. Aether leaned against the rooftop ledge, lost in his thoughts, while Astraea observed him with a mix of affection and concern.

"You've come so far, Aether," Astraea remarked softly. "I still remember when you first joined our familia, unsure of your place in this world. But now, you've grown into such an incredible individual."

Aether chuckled softly. "I couldn't have done it without you, Lady Astraea. Your guidance and belief in me have been invaluable. I'm grateful to have you as my goddess and as a dear friend."

Astraea reached out and gently placed a hand on Aether's shoulder. "And I'm grateful to have you in my life as well. You bring light and warmth wherever you go, Aether. Your presence has enriched all of our lives."

Aether's expression softened as he turned to face Astraea. "I hope I can live up to your expectations, Lady Astraea. I want to become someone who can protect not just our familia but everyone I hold dear."

Astraea's eyes gleamed with pride. "I have no doubt that you will, Aether. Your determination and unwavering spirit are what make you special. Just remember, no matter what challenges lie ahead, we'll face them together.'

Their bond strengthened with each passing moment, their unspoken understanding bridging the gap between them.

As the night wore on, they continued their conversation, sharing stories, dreams, and aspirations, finding solace in each other's presence, Astraea couldn't help but ask something.

"Hey Aether" Astraea asked showing a small blush on her face

"Yes Lady Astraea"

"Tell me do you like me?" She asked with a hint of hope in her voice

[A/N: FBI, Here yes that one.]

Sensing the obvious Aether spoke

"Yes I love Lady Astraea"

"Really" Astraea faced gleamed as her eyes shine

"Yes, You and everyone, I love you as a Family"

*Creak* *Broke*

Somewhere else in the familia

"Hmm, Did something Break," Neze inquired

"No, I don't think so" Kaguya dismissed through aside from Ryuu who already went to sleep, everyone in her familia did heard something break

Back to Astraea

Silence loom over the place as the light of the moonlight could be seen, as the sound of winds could be heard

'why the hell it feels so awkward' Aether thought seeing the atmosphere becoming gloomy

"Lady Astraea, are you okay" he asked with slight concerned in her voice

"Aether, you idiot" Astraea murmured

"Did you said something"

"No, I'm okay" she said folding his hands and giving a cute pout

(image)

"Hehehe" he laugh lightly getting Astraea attention

"Why are you laughing?" Astraea inquired

"Hehe, sorry it's just that Lady Astraea look really cute when she pouts like that"

(image)

Astraea face puffed "W-What are you speaking, all of the sudden"

"I simply meant that you appear lovely in this moment. You often carry the aura of a busy, divine figure, but when we converse you seem like an ordinary, lovely girl, Astraea."

(image)

Astraea started to shake as even steam started to come out from her head "Oh, What are you saying all of the sudden, it's really embarrassing."

"I only states the truth, you look gloomy and grandpa always says if a girl is sad complement her"

"Mou, you and your grandpa, just who is he"

'world greatest pervert' is what that thought comes in his mind

"I'm sure you would love to meet him one day"

"Hmm"

'fuu, she's just like Ais'

"Aether, are you thinking about a different women right now"

'Oh God, is this the legendary women instinct Grandpa told me about'

Aether shuttered "N-No I was just thinking about something else"

"Good"

He sighed

"Hey Aether"

'Now what!?' He thought

"Y-Yes Lady Astraea"

(image)

"The things that you just said, do you truly mean it?" Even though her divine ability assured her of his honesty, she wanted to hear it once more.

With a sincere smile, he confirmed, "Yes, I absolutely mean it, Astraea is a lovely girl."

Astraea smiled, her heart brimming with joy. "Hehe, thank you, but Aether... would you mind... calling me by my name, not 'Lady' or 'goddess,' just as a girl, Astraea."

"But-"

"Please"

Leaving no room to go, Aether sighed

"Astraea" he spoke in a calm voice filled with warmth and love

Her heart skipped a beat when he called her that.

"Again"

"It's a bit embarrassing"

"For me" she urged.

"Astraea," he said with a fond smile

"Hehehe~~~ That makes me really happy" she giggles "Always call me that" she ordered him

"Has anyone ever told you that you can be quite a handful at times?"

"Well I did heard it once in a while" she said with a continued smile, so content that she couldn't even remember why she had been upset.

He let out a tired sigh. "Well, it's getting late. I should head to bed now."

"Yes, you should go. I'll stay here for a little longer."

"Alright, goodnight, A-Astraea."

"Goodnight, Aether."

With that, Aether descended the stairs toward his room, leaving Astraea alone.

".."

As the sound of the wind whispered around her, Astraea bent down, hiding her face, her embarrassment too overwhelming for her to face anything else.

(image)

"These feelings are troublesome" Astraea confessed a bit conflicted. These emotions were causing her distress. Like many other goddesses, Astraea, too, was a virgin goddess, and her knowledge about love was limited. However, she had come to realise that she loved Aether just as deeply as all her other children, though in a unique way. This realisation had only recently dawned upon her.

Astraea's affection for her children was akin to a mother's love, but with Aether, it was different. With Aether, she was in love.

For the time being, she made a decision to wait patiently. She would wait for him to grow up, and it was then that she would finally express her feelings. Until then, she was content to guide him as a friend and goddess.

She softly whispered, "I hope everything goes well."

Little did they know that while they conversed, the wheels of fate were turning, and the actions of a certain goddess were already in motion, her obsession with Aether growing by the day. Unbeknownst to Astraea, Freya had set her sights on Aether, determined to make him her own.

With the dawn of a new day, their journey continued, their destinies intertwined in the dungeon of Orario, where Aether would face formidable opponents and unlock the true extent of his powers. And as for Freya's plan, its consequences would soon make themselves known, threatening to reshape the lives of those caught in its web.

[A/N: So this is the end of chapter 3 edit, as you can see i have change the timeline a bit and also add some Astraea moments , if you saw any problem do comment I'll try to fix it

As you know even though Aether is still a kids he thinks like a adult and it's aura,

If you say It's too early that Astraea fall for Aether just remember Hestia, it didn't even take her a month despite being one of the three celestial goddess

But still don't worry i won't be showing any romance until he grow up (just wait for the time skip)

Do give me PS And also if you have any ideas for the story do comment

So Thank You for reading, stay tuned.]
