Chapter 23 : Mutants!!

The group that came to be known as the "X-Men" was founded in late 1961 and the beginning of 1962 by young Charles Xavier and Howard Stark as they called numerous people and responded to their cause...

However, as many were scattered through the world it was a tad bit difficult to bring them in this now the team was quite small efficient...

The X-Men's first mission involved stopping Sebastian Shaw and the Hellfire Club.

Xavier then brought in Erik Lehnsherr to help lead the team, which also consisted of Havok, Darwin, Beast and Banshee.

The team came into conflict with another group of mutants who were vying for world domination.

For the next few months, the group tried to fight and collect evidence as the months passed and in October they managed to actually capture Emma Frost by Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr and is turned over to the Central Intelligence Agency.

The reason for her downfall was that as Xavier was searching for her, she also has the means to avoid him while Shaw told her to go to Russia for a mission...

As Emma feels Xavier's telepathy expand, she looks to see whether he is close by before leaving while Shaw takes care of the mutants at the CIA.

While in Russia, she uses her seduction skills to get the Russian General into bed. She then uses her telepathy to make the General believe that he and Emma are groping and kissing one another, with her sexually straddling him on his bed, wearing only her lingerie, but she is really sitting and eating crackers, watching him hugging and kissing the air.

Seion and Sharon watching this while they were also eating crackers and having themselves covered by the Reality Powers Seion had heard some racket and finally...

Xavier and Lehnsherr barge in and she turns into diamond form. She attempts to escape but Charles and Erik stop her and Erik makes the metal bed hold her.

Magneto starts to crack her diamond form but Charles tells him to stop. Under the pressure, her diamond form starts to break but after the release, she goes back to normal form. She then gets sent to the CIA headquarters.

While getting interrogated, the CIA agents start asking why they are trying to start a war she laughed...

"Excellent question. Though I wouldn't call it a war, exactly. That suggests both sides stand an equal chance of winning." Emma Frost said with a playful smile...

MacTaggart seeks Xavier's advice on mutation and takes Xavier and Raven to the CIA to convince the chief that Shaw is a threat.

After convincing them that mutants exist they are to be taken to a covert facility, but first Xavier tracks down Shaw.

Lehnsherr attacks Shaw, and when Shaw escapes in his submarine Lehnsherr tries to stop him, but Xavier stops him so that he does not drown. Lehnsherr joins Xavier and Raven at the CIA facility, where they meet Hank McCoy, another mutant that Xavier accidentally outs.

McCoy and Xavier use a prototype Cerebro to locate mutants and recruit several of them to train to stop Shaw.

Upon the recruiting process, we also see Xavier and Lehnsherr walk up to Logan who had returned back and was in a bar and introduce themselves. Logan swears at them, and they walk off.

When Lehnsherr and Xavier return they begin to train the mutants, though Raven is conflicted about hiding her natural form.

All this didn't escape the eyes of Seion as he was going on dates with Sharon every day and constantly protecting her even when hooligans came up to try and court her...

However when that happened she always smiled and that was a smile filled with content and pity as she knew that the moment they got close to her, they completely fucked up their lives...

A few days later in mid-October, President Kennedy institutes a blockade. While they realised that Shaw travels with the Russian fleet to ensure that the missiles get to Cuba.

Xavier, MacTaggart and Lehnsherr fly to the blockade to stop the fleets from engaging.

Every member of X-Men was present and started fighting against the Russians who wanted to light Cuba up and smoke through it...

Feeling something was off as his head started hurting like hell, Shaw used a nuclear core to charge himself up and a helmet to block Xavier's telepathy.

Seeing that his tried failed with Shaw, Xavier uses his powers to make a Russian ship destroy the missile ship before it crosses the line.

"Seion, aren't these guys too overpowered?? How can I fight with them?? Or how can mom and dad fight with them???" Sharon asked as from the moment they rushed here they turned everything upside down...

"Overpowered?? I'm sorry to say that in the grand scheme of things, there are stronger beings out there..."

"To counter Xavier you need a strong mind-forged through battles or the harsh life..."

"To counter Erik you need metals that have high resistance in elements such as electricity which counts as magnetism in some times..."

"That will drop his firepower..."

"You can also form plastic equipment and battle him but you will have to watch where you fight him..." Seion spoke while Sharon took everything and held notes...

"Then can't you use wood as well??" Sharon asked while Seion smiled...

"You can, but can wood defeat metal??" Seion asked while Sharon pondered...

As they were talking about his weaknesses things got spicy down there as Shaw retreated from being defeated and failed to light Cuba up...

However who was Erik?? He pulls Shaw's submarine from the water, but an attack forces the jet and submarine to crash.

Lehnsherr finds Shaw and removes his helmet and Xavier takes control of Shaw. Lehnsherr puts on the helmet, then kills him by slowly forcing the coin that Shaw taunted him with through his brain.

The two fleets fire their missiles at the mutants, but Lehnsherr, now fully in control of his abilities, holds the missiles in the air, then turns them on the fleet.

In the ensuing fight, Xavier manages to distract Lehnsherr, but when MacTaggart fires at Lehnsherr he deflects the bullets, with one paralyzing Xavier.

Enraged by his friend's paralyzation, Lehnsherr attempts to strangle MacTaggart using his abilities but Xavier convinces him to stop.

"And that's how kindness can cost you a lot in your life..." Seion said as he shook his head...

"Truly dumb why do that in a fight?? Would he have spared them?? For God's sake, he tried to light up Cuba with nuclear missiles..."

"How many would he kill by then??" Sharon said in displeasure...

"And that's not all... Look Erik and the others are fed up with all the officials..." Seion added and sure enough...

Lehnsherr takes Raven, Angel Salvadore, Riptide and Azazel and says a goodbye farewell to Xavier before he leaves.

Xavier was broken as his friend and sister left him like this...

A month passed and Sharon with Seion were touring around while they had learned that Captain America and his team will return back...

"Yeah!! They finished with the Vietnam War..." Sharon excitedly said...

"I don't think they have finished there, either something happened that forced them to return or they have some leeway regarding the war and came to visit you..." Seion said which made her pout...

After returning back to her home, Seion thought about the events that will unfold later on...

In the following months...

Xavier, now confined to a wheelchair for the rest of his life, and the mutants return to the mansion, where he will open a school.

Moira is caring for him, and she promises never to tell the location of the school, but Xavier does not find her to be reliable so he erases her memory while kissing her.

Lehnsherr broke Frost out of the CIA headquarters, and in his new uniform, he tells Frost to call him Magneto.

Following this, Erik and Charles' views regarding the path of the emerging mutant race diverged resulting in the end of their friendship.

Erik - now going by the name "Magneto", and Darkholme - now going by the name "Mystique", left the X-Men and formed the Brotherhood of Mutants.

John F. Kennedy's address regarding the Cuban Missile Crisis is broadcasted on the week of Thanksgiving.

Following the Cuban Missile Crisis, the Kennedy administration authorizes the Central Intelligence Agency to establish Project WideAwake, a covert task force to investigate other X-Gene cases and their prevalence across the United States.

While its mission strictly revolves around the identification and research of mutants, it exercises paramilitary autonomy from the President's mandates.

Edwin Partridge, a former Major General in the U.S. Army and a far right-wing activist, gains through his contacts in the military proof of mutant involvement during the Cuban Missile Crisis, including amateur photos and an 8mm film.

In 1963 Sharon was now 17 years old...

Steve and Carter have returned and played with their daughter various games while Steve trained her for a bit every day and Carter showed her how to handle weapons...

Unfortunately for them, she passed with flying colours as she had already learned those from Seion...

It also came as a surprise to them, to learn that through the years Seion was keeping her company and teaching her...

They hadn't heard of him for years and it turns out she was here watching over their daughter in their place...

As they were discussing more and more on how she passed her time on the TV, Edwin Partridge, addressing a rally of his supporters, makes allusions to the existence of mutants and their potential.

This made Carter and Steve frown as they knew the powers of Mutants, Logan was one of them and their comrade for years although they didn't know where he was at the moment...

In a way, they themselves and Sharon can count as Mutants and were worried as when the Government decides on something all Heel will break loose...

Not to mention Erskine was still creating secretly the Serum and by now he had ample supplies of them...

And the only ones who could use them were him, Carter and Howard, as they had established S.H.I.E.L.D...

They hoped nothing goes wrong or else things could get ugly...

A month later, according to the Warren Commission, Erik Lehnsherr allegedly recruits Lee Harvey Oswald to murder Edwin Partridge around this time.

During the next few months, they were staying with their daughter and enjoying life that was until Seion dropped by and Sharon immediately glued to him...

This made Steve's eyes twitch while Carter lightly laughed making Seion narrow his eyes as he could have sworn he heard Ara, Ara...

It came to an even surprise to them that Sharon declared herself his Girl inf front of her parents and while Steve was pissed at him and Carter smiled sending shivers down his spine...

E.D.I.T.H detached herself from him and counter her by saying she is his girl and caused a catfight between the two with E.D.I.T.H coming on top...

Seeing the miserable look of their daughter both of them cracked their hands raring to go for some talk, yeah private talks...

Two months later after that day which remained a mystery to what happened, they learned that an assassin kills Edwin Partridge, and his death incenses his supporters, who become more virulent and active.

Azazel and Angel Salvadore were found death and everyone knew that this will incite Magneto and in turn, their relationship will worsen...
