Chapter 35: The Price of Brotherhood

How am I supposed to take that? What am I supposed to do? The police haven’t come up with anything in weeks, and now I’m just supposed to go out and find whoever killed my father? It’s an impossible task, but the Council was clear on their request.
They believe in me and have faith in me as Alpha, but they need to know I have their best interests at heart. They need me to get revenge on my father’s killer.
I already know the most likely candidate, but there is no evidence to support my claim. I’ll need to find the evidence if I’m to claim my vengeance rightfully. The person from whom I need to obtain this evidence doesn’t operate with the same moral code, however.
I’ll have to start at the beginning to find what I’m looking for.
I enter my loft at the top of the tower. The sun shines brightly in the open space, the golden light reflecting on the white surfaces. The kitchen still smells like coffee and eggs as I enter and look around.
