The Essence of Magic
After the show of power, Sora's name was sure to spread. before the battle, Sora secretly had a few people record the battle, they would go on to travel around the world, showing people all over the world just what this 3-year-old could do.
anyways, the battle was over. Sora collected his earnings after everything was done, to say the least, there were a lot of people putting up bets, and Sora had pushed for Cynisca for those who vote for Cynisca to have a huge payday if they were to win. to say the least, because Cynisca was well known for her strength and Sora wasn't, many people voted against Sora, which only added money to Sora's pockets.
So, since Sora had won and did more than Cynisca, Leonidas, and his father expected Sora and Cynisca were set to marry once Sora turns 16, which was the common age for people to marry at this time age.
"Have a great trip father-in-law... wait, is a possibility some of my work could come to Sparta? I could bring my sweets over to your land." Sora said with a smile as he saw Leonidas off/Leonidas's eyes flashed for a moment before he nodded.
Sora nodded slightly before he had Autumn go and call a few workers he had already ready to leave with the king, and a carriage was quickly brought out, along with a few guards. the king looked at them for a moment before he looked at Cynisca next to him.
"Well, then you should stay here as well. grow together and train together." Leonidas said calmly, although Cynisca lost, that was only because she had yet to master or gain any ultimate abilities in such a way as Sora did,
Cynisca looked at her father for a moment before nodding, it seems like her father knew she didn't want to leave. why would she want to stay? because of all of these sweats, sure she had the risk of getting fat, but she was a hard worker, so that didn't bother her much.
as for her home, who was a worthy rival for her like how Sora was? because of this, she would stay with Sora and also get to know her future husband better. she would of course return home from time to time when she wants. she was not some prisoner.
So, she went to stand by Sora's side as she saw them off. of course, her father left a guard to protect her beloved daughter. after they left, Sora and Cynisca went on to become training partners.
this turns out to be what Sora needed, someone he could fight. against Cynisca, Sora used many of his abilities, allowing him to near evolutions. Sora's talent status was so high he might never really need to use points.
his Luck although unknown, Sora thought it was at least a 4

with such talent, Sora went on to go and master many of his abilities while training with Cynisca, meanwhile, his business within Sparta grew. he went on to have a teleportation spell formed, which would send already mix ingredients over there for them to use to cook and sell.
Cynisca went on to join Sora's army after hearing about his grand goals, joining meaning she signed the contract with Sora willingly. with such a noble battle, how could someone like her not want to join? she was also a better trainer, as she knew how to train the guards better than Sora.
so, time went by, and in a blink of an eye, it has been 3 months since Cynisca came over. Sora and Cynisca stood in the throne room, both wearing armor. Samui and her twin brother Atsui were also in the throne room,
"The dark sky kingdom had moved to attack us from the west, Sora, you're to defend the Rocky Mountains from them for at least a month. guy time so the army at the grass plane to come and land you a hand, if you need backup, let me know days ahead when things start to get a mess." the king said calmly to which Sora nodded slightly
"Samui and Atsui, take your focus and at as back up to the grassy plane... I want a report every day," He said calmly, to which the twins nodded slightly. and with that, their orders were given and they left,
"This time you can't set traps, how could you defeat the whole army?" Atsui asked with a smile, Sora sighed softly upon hearing his words.
"I will think of something, I would be more worried about you guys. I simply have to hold on, meanwhile, you guys seem to have the harder job." Sora said with a shake of his head, making, Atsui depressed.
Shaking his head, Atsui left with Samui, while Sora and Cynisca left to get their army ready, luckily for them, Sora began to train more soldiers the past 6 months.
the power level needed to enter the army was around 100. those at this level of power rarely go to the front lines, it's when a person gets a power level of 200 that one could see them on the front lines,
a power level below 200 is the level of power you would see those adventures at, of course, some of them are skilled, but that's a rare few. the adventures had a ranking system, E, D, C, B, A, S, and SS.
E-rank adventures could be normal humans, with a power level anywhere from 1 to slightly higher. their missions are usually to help people who needed an extra hand, they have nothing to do with battle or anything like this. they could wish dishes, cut grass, and so on.
D-rank adventures had a strength of 10 or higher, these guys would hunt weaker animals, kill goblins, and other stuff. of course, the goblins are weaker lesser goblins. and stuff of such levels.
C rank Adventures could have a power level from 50 to 200, these guys were powerhouses, and it's shown by the mission they usually take up. from defending villages to protecting slightly famous people or joining a part to take down gangs.
A rank Adventures would have a power level from 200 to 500, they would take on jobs to protect the kingdom from monster attacks along with a party, they are strong enough to join the army, but don't want to be treated like pawns.
an S rank Adventure would have a power level from 500 to 5,000 they are considered to be highly respected members within the adventure guilds and would be elders once they step down as adventures. their mission was at the city level,
lastly, SS rank adventure was the level of the guild master, it seemed one needed a power level of over 5,000. there was an adventure guild placed within every human kingdom, each with an adventure guild master who looks at it. at a time, an adventure guild would need at least 2 SS-rank adventures within.
the army Sora had other than his elites of 300, was a bunch of cannons foliar with power levels at around 500 to 700. weak, but their numbers which were at 1,500 would say otherwise. Sora had a charm about him, he seemed like a born ruler... well, that was because he had the Sword King Cultivation art, which gave him a kingly sword aura. it became more noticeable after Sora mastered the moves from it.
"you guys had your time to rest, we're setting off to the rocket mountains within 2 hours, we going to war," Sora said, stunning his army which quickly stood up, and quickly began to get ready. Sora ignored them as he went on to go over a map of the rocky mountain,
"The likely hold we are facing a powerful army is high, we will try and lower their numbers.... any plans?" Sora asked as he looked at the 9 other people who were looking at the map within.
there was his trusted right hand, Ankhseram, known for his Arc OF Life and Death magic., there was Cable, known for his Arc Of embodiment, able to turn dreams into reality., there was Kamui, known for his Arc of Spacetime
there was Kusaki, known for his Great Tree Arc magic. and lastly, among his elite, soldiers were Riku, known for his 5 element Arc magic
Alice the daughter was the daughter of the dark knight emperor, and the 4th prince of the dark sky kingdom Abel. Cynisca stood to Sora's right, even though that's where Ankhseram usually stands, as he was the right hand. but what can he do? of course, the last person was Autumn, Autumn was always with Sora.
"can't with have the mountain fall upon them?" Riku asked to which Sora nodded
"I expect we are going up against powerful people whose little tricks like that would work unless we draw their attention away... how about this, Cable, you can enter their camp as a spy, use your magic to perfectly become one among them, and poison their food supply. we will cut their path to call for backup or retreat once they realize what had happened." Sora said with a ruthless look, making everyone speechless at how he thought of such things. but it sounded like it could work
"Make the poison smells even after being mixed, don't make it so deadly that it happens instantly, instead I want even the stronger soldiers not to sense something is wrong until it's too late. the fighting should spend things up, so we will be the ones asking for battles." Sora said softly, after seeing no one disagree with his plan
"We will also fill them with false traps, causing them to be on guard with their surroundings, any missing pieces I missed out on?" Sora asked calmly, to which everyone shook their head, and they went on to pack up and leave.
days later, they arrived at the rocky mountain. but they ran into a problem as their enemy arrived on the same day they did. So, Sora had some of his men set up camp, while the rest stood on a stand while meanwhile, he took 200 soldiers to go clash and test his enemy. among his soldiers was Cable, who was going to be looking for the perfect time to switch places with an enemy soldier.
"so, it's the famous brat, Prince Sora." a middle-aged man said with narrowed eyes upon walking forward upon his heroes. his army stood behind him as he looked coldly at Sora, Sora's army also stood behind him, as he looked at the man before him with a gentle smile.
"It's a pleasure that some of such high standings knows my name, if I may ask, what's sir name?" Sora asked with a smile,
"I'm the head of the Dark cloud noble family, the name is john." He said calmly to which Sora nodded slightly, he never heard of this man.
"Oh, is it not sir john, I have heard many things of your great name... how would someone as amazing as you like to join me? even the prince and the daughter of the Dark knight emperor have followed me. let's face it, your kingdom will not win. thanks even more sure when we have Merlin. " Sora said with a smile, making John snort slightly
raising his sword, John coldly looked at Sora. Sora also raised his hands, but Sora shamelessly bought it down first. stunning John as Sora's army suddenly rushed forward, followed by arrows raining from the sky, he quickly did the same, before cutting down an arrow that was shooting toward his forward
His army shot forward, as their arrows also rained down, Sora easily dodged the arrows while watching, he was only at level 3 Nascent soul with a power level of 320, what could he do here but watch the battle take place?
sora had ignored cultivation and left it on auto-cultivate, meanwhile, he spent his time training, pushing himself past his limits to grow stronger. this in return allowed his cultivation speed to increase. although not as strong as his strength improvement, it still fast
Sora's spiritual sense picked up Cable's movement, as he slaughtered many of the enemy soldiers, Sora used his telekinesis to grab hold of the fallen soldiers, souls and pull them towards him. his nascent soul went on to devour them all, allowing Sora's cultivation speed to suddenly pick up. this was Sora's first-time devouring Sora, and it was so much faster.
if he stays on the battlefield, Sora saw that he could need... days or weeks to reach the peak of his nascent soul. as more and more of his soldiers died, Sora slowly began ordering a retreat, John also did the same as he lot more of his man in this battle than Sora, enraging him.
as the two parties retreated, among john's armies, Cable was walking among the soldiers, as they were sent to rest, he changed his appearance to a worker who pass food around the camp and went on to find where they stored the food.
the food supplies, to say the least, were garden, but he simply imaged clothing that made him invisible, passed the guards, and went on to image shoes that blocks all sound the user could make, this way he went on to add his poison into the food without the guards noticing, he added it to everything, from the water to the food, before he left
he made glasses that turned him into a bird, and flew off, returning to Sora camp, where he reported everything. and so, later that day, Sora launched another attack, annoying John who was going over a plan. these simple clashes were nothing more than a way to measure each other strengths, measure their leadership skills, and so on.
from the first clash, he saw that Sora's army was of a higher quality, and more refined than his army, which is why he was searching for a way around this. but Sora wanted another clash, so he went on to fight,
this time, Sora's army had a new formation, similar to the one used by those in Sparta, their shield was out, and their spear pointed straight, with such formations, this clash, Sora's army didn't lose any soldiers, but instead, some were injured. on the other hand, John lost more than 20 of his soldiers.
after falling back, Sora waited until run set before he had another group of soldiers attack, and like that, every 4 hours Sora kept attacking. tiring out his enemy, by the next morning, both Sora's army and his enemy's army were tried, but it was clear Sora's army was doing far better than the enemy, as some of them were starting to drop dead to the ground.
"Sir John..." a soldier said with a purple face before he suddenly fell to the ground, John whose face was also purple looked at his man who was falling left and right, he realized that was poisoned, but when?
"Now it's our turn," Sora yelled as he rushed forward with his elite 300 hundred following behind him, the enemy's more solid face placed, and they wanted to retreat as they were in no condition to fight, this whole time Sora had not used his elites and only cannon folder
although they wanted to retreat, they found that they couldn't go anywhere, portals opened behind them as Kamui stepped out with his army, and slaughtered a good among of the soldiers, only leaving a few of them. meanwhile, Sora had absorbed the souls of every that had died, with the enemy having over a thousand soldiers, to say the least Sora had made huge gains.
he was at level 23 nascent soul, his power level was now at 500, which was great. you should know the power levels of these soldiers were all above 200. Sora absorbing so many and with some being at thousands was a huge improvement to his strength.
with such speed to Sora cultivation, Sora began thinking of quickly getting a tier 5 cultivation art. for the past few, the random reward he was been using to try and get a tier 5 cultivation art barely showed one. so, because of this, Sora ignored it.
but after news of what happened here, Sora was sure his fam would skyrocket, after all, he a 3-year-old defeated an army within a day again. should be enough for his fam to reach the level needed.
So, Sora sent news home to his father, and as expected, Sora's father was happy hearing his deed, but he was to remain to guard this place for a month. knowing that an enemy solider would come soon, Sora set traps... a lot of traps from land mines to a pit which would swallow his enemies,
so, time went by, and as expected Sora passed his quest after a few days, it seemed like his action hit many more humans around the world.

these were all the techniques Sora got, he badly needed a technique to boost his physique strength, and the cultivation art was perfect for it.
sometimes most defenses were almost impossible to break, so the gentle fist that bypassed durability was perfect. and it went perfectly with the all-seeing eyes, as he could see the pressure points and target them,
and lastly, the Soul Butting Sword was something that would boost his mind base abilities, by a lot, and allow him to also ignore more defenses, which was even better.

Seeing this, Sora thought for a moment, how long would this take? if he spends a day and fights on the battlefield, he saw that this war could last maybe a year or so. with this idea, Sora sent news back to his father of how he wished to remain on the battlefield for the next few years.
you might ask, why Sora hasn't opened the gift go for reaching Qi refinement realm yet?
well, it was because he was waiting until he reached the realm above Nascent soul, The Saint realm. once he opens that Qi refinement gift box, the glitch would cause Sora to get more and higher rank grade rewards.
Sora's father soon answered his request, accepting his wishes to stay on the battlefield, and so, time went by and soon the enemy soldiers arrived. stronger than the last, and more in numbers, a total of 5,000 in total.
but thanks to the traps, the enemy quickly grew chaotic leading as their formation grew. the whole ground fall in, swallowing thousands, the captain who had a power level of 5,000 and was about to move wanted to use wind magic to save his people. to say the least, 5,000 people were not all his, they were all formed from 4 others who came together to put this army together.
when he wanted to use his wind, he felt something take control of him, he was suddenly pulled towards where Sora was. he wanted to resist, but his hands only flew all over the place. in the end, you went on to use his wind magic to try and fly.
but a mind attack was slammed into his mind, causing him to have a huge headache, before he could recover, Sora captains all moved, working together to defeat him, with Alice supporting at the side. in minutes, this captain was killed,
Sora went on to devour his soul, followed by the countless other soldiers who died, allowing his cultivation to reach level 10 nascent soul after devouring all of the souls.
2 out of the 5 enemies captain lived, all thought badly injured. for a chance to live, they submitted to Sora and Sora had them make the contract. after which, Kamui had turned time backward on their body, helping them recover.
now, Sora had a power level of 700. such a level of power caused Sora to now stand strongly among his soldiers. Sora now needed a tier 5 cultivation art to reach the Saint realm, but for now, Sora decided to turn his attention to comprehending the Dao since he reached the peak.
it was time for him to start sensing the Essence of Magic, comprehend it, and so on. so, when he was not training or something, Sora began learning more and more magic. from learning extremely hearing magic to other forbidden magic, Sora did this to expand his knowledge to better touch upon The Essence of Magic.
his father also sent backup to Sora within this time, allowing Sora and his army quickly reach a number of 5,000. he of course didn't lead all of this by himself, 6 other captains went on to lead, and although there was some trouble among them Sora was able to take lead as the princess, leading everyone to calm down and unite towards a common goal, as the enemy was attacking more with firepower
so, a month went by, and soon his Samui and her brother came to back Sora up, allowing Sora and the others to have some breathing space.
Sora also understood what The Essence of Magic was, he thought it was love, but instead, it went deeper than that. it was belief. The Essence of Magic is the source of all forms of Magic that comes from a person's beliefs.
when Sora came to this understanding, he was in shock. as he that it was something as cheesy as love, but it was belief. the belief that you can, this made so much sense as so many people from time to time would explode with the power they had never had. they believed that they will win, boosting their magic power greatly.
meanwhile, their enemy's belief in themselves takes a huge blow upon seeing something like this. so, you want overwhelming power? believe in yourself and work hard, because the origin of all magic comes from the heart. belief that it's there, belief that it works, belief of its usage. of course, it's not so simple as that, but that was the basics of things.
it would have taken Sora longer to understand this, but he was not a person of this world, and he came into this world with knowledge of it. when he sat down and truly tried to understand magic, something which could have taken years only took weeks for Sora.
so, what does having this knowledge bring Sora? it pretty much allowed Sora to have all forms of magic, and upon drawing upon the essences of magic, Sora's strength would increase greatly, up to 5 times.
this of course would drop if the belief he had in magic dropped, or the belief the world had in magic dropped. if magic energy dropped then Sora would draw less power from the world, this was the law this world carried, and Sora had no choice but to follow it.
But, this means Sora had all forbidden magic with none of the drawbacks, so what did he have to complain about? he could kill immortals, and even the unkillable titans, so long as he believed he could.
