Chapter 12: Normal Cultivator

Seeing her easily breakthrough left him in awe, was she going to become a monster genius leaving him in the dust and only to work as her humble bed warmer?

"I mean... it doesn't sound too bad" he thought, but that is not what he wants.

While trying to clear his impure thoughts he advised her "Cough... first try to stabilize your cultivation and then well continue testing all the other attributes".

Confused she asked, "There are more attributes besides those four?"

"Of course, besides the basic 4, there is the Light attribute, Darkness, Thunder, Wood, and more"

"Do I have those?" she asked in an excited tone.

"Only one way to find out so hurry up" he urged.

Taking his advice to heart, Yinling stabilized her cultivation first.

Moving forward, she imagined her energy transforming into the sun's rays. In an instant, she felt a surge of unimaginable speed, her surroundings morphing into mere streaks of light.

Feeling the warmth from her surroundings was similar to the one she experienced for the fire attribute but there was a difference, she felt a surge of vitality in her and her world became clearer. She felt if she cut open a wound on her hand it would heal in an instant.

Opening her eyes, she saw a fist coming her way but surprisingly she dodged it almost instinctively. Realizing what just happened, she was about to pounce on him but saw him raise his hands in defeat.

"Woah woah... easy there I was only testing you out, although I don't know much about the other attributes I have some knowledge of the light attribute"

Sitting down she retorted "You better or else..." She knew that with the light attribute, your reaction speed increases dramatically so it made sense why he did it.

"Now do you need me to explain the light attribute to you or do you instinctively know this already" asked Jun.

In a puzzled tone, she said "I seem to know this instinctively for some reason"

Even with his epiphany phase, he didn't seem to know why that is. To make full use of his system he needs to have some knowledge of what he wants to learn and right now, he doesn't know anything about the history of this world except for a few things.

Seeing that Yinling wasn't fully able to make use of her abilities, he decided to tell her "Maybe we should head outside of the city to test out your abilities and while we are at it, well do mine"

"You don't know your attributes yet" she asked, surprised.

"I haven't had enough time since finding you. Once a cultivator reaches the Qi condensation realm, only then are they ready to find out their attributes from my experience"

Nodding, she was just about to head out when something caught her wrist, looking down she saw it was Jun's hand "Here put this on" He handed over the mask and cape she left.

Gritting her teeth, she knew it was for the best since she didn't want to receive weird looks.

Putting them on they decided to use the balcony to leave the inn. While flying over the city, they felt mesmerized at how beautiful this giant tree was.

"Hey Yinling, is this tree unique only to here or is it seen everywhere" he asked.

"From what I know It's unique to this area but I've heard there are other trees like this located in other parts of the continent"

Looking deeply at the tree, he focused back on their path and they quickly arrived at a secluded open area dozens of miles away from the city.

Looking around, there were only a few body tempering creatures in the area so it should be safe to experiment here.

"Before we continue, I think I should figure out my attributes" stated Jun.

"Which attribute are you going to test" she asked. "Im thinking of trying out the light attribute of yours, it seems pretty good" he said, noticing a playful smile on her face as she stepped back to give him space.

Confused, he sat down, he had some expectation in his heart. The light attribute that Yinling acquired was something he wanted. Having a better reaction speed is a life-saving ability he must have.

If someone wanted to sneak attack, wouldn't it be amazing when they think they are going to slice your head off and you dodge at the last moment leaving them questioning their abilities.

Focusing, he decided to try out the light attribute, he imagined his energy directly turning into the majestic sun in all its glory. Although what he imagined may be different than what Yinling thought of, the outcome should be the same either way.

Seconds passed, and he was starting to get worried he might not have the Light attribute. Then suddenly his world changed, he seemed to be going at the speed of light, and everything around him seemed to be nothing but a blur.

As he was enjoying the scenery, he felt a surge of vitality within his body, if he had any dark wounds he would come to notice them healing at a visible rate.

Just as he was about to open his eyes, he felt a rush of pain on his face sending him flying into the woods destroying dozens of trees in the process.

From afar, he heard Yinling's shout "OMG, JUN I THOUGHT YOU WOULD DODGE IT!!"

Coming to a stop, he could hardly breathe, all the air in his lungs had left his body when hitting those trees.

Struggling to catch his breath, Jun yelled back, "YINLING! WHAT WAS THAT FOR?!"

"I'm so sorry Jun I thought you would dodge it" she anxiously explained with a mix of worry and apology.

Sitting back down in the open area, he could feel his beautiful nose was dislocated. A little angry, he managed to calm down since he also did that with her.

At that time, she managed to dodge not because she was better but because he only struck when she had her eyes FULLY OPENED!!.

"Alright alright... let's just call it even between us for all those times I've hit you" he stated while looking at the disheartened Yinling.

Having enough of the pain radiating from his nose, he used his healing technique to relocate it. No other part of his body was damaged, only the part where he got hit.

Focusing on the task at hand, Jun decided to test the Water attribute next. Closing his eyes, he concentrated on the fluidity and coolness of water, but nothing happened. The same went for Air – no reaction. A tinge of anxiety crept in as he moved on to Earth, but again, there was no connection.

Finally, when he got to the fire element, he instantly felt himself drowning in flames that seemed endless. Although they didn't hurt it was still a little overwhelming being surrounded by flames.

Opening his eyes, he instantly knew what to do, unlike Yinling where she at first could only ignite the energy on the tip of her index finger, he could ignite the entire energy located on his palm thanks to his higher energy control.

Wishing to test it out he decided to strike the ground with all his might "Yinling stay back, I want to see just how powerful this is".

Yinling stepped back cautiously as Jun focused his energy on his palm. With a swift motion, he slammed his hand down towards the ground, igniting his energy just before contact.

BAM

The impact instantly sent debris hundreds of feet into the air.

The ground cracked open, forming a crater dozens of meters wide, with fissures spreading even further. Yinling, caught off guard, was forced to take to the air to avoid the debris.

Looking at the devastated land, he knew from today on he was no longer considered a "normal: cultivator.
