The gates were tall and sturdy to the refugees fleeing from the battlefield, this gives out a reassuring aura such that they feel safe and secured. The guards stationed on the walls were significantly better trained and equipped. One could tell that the wars are a common occurrence from the expressions of residents of Entropy. To them, the yearly war was not a big deal.

The refugees flooded into the large city. Along with them, Dan was herded towards a temporary shelter. Food was distributed by the workers at the temple. The temple is made of beautiful white rocks, and it gives off a holy aura. Those injured were bandage with a plain white cloth.

It will not be good to stay here for long, Dan thought, he felt that something was wrong. The ruling class from the temple may possibly only be putting on an act for publicity sake. In the long run, when they find such an action is not beneficial, a purge or slavery may happen. Since a yearly war does happen, Dan does not have enough information to find out about those refugees from previous wars.
