As if that wasn't enough, three more terrifying robots emerged from the ground, the space rippling at their emergence, sending chaos and disaster to befall this hideout.
Tommy stared at Theodore...
But, he only saw his shadow and then an evil giggle that sounded like the one the devil was used to whenever he plots the downfall of humans.
Tommy's eyes widened as a beam shattered a centimeter away from his head, sending him flying and causing the hideout to slowly collapse.
Tommy jumped through his afterimage once more and an Ascended beam shattered that image.
He grabbed Benita and Juanita...
The other girl followed still in a state of shock.
But, the constant destruction had blocked off the entrance to the cave.
Tommy remembered that he had destroyed the bronze door earlier finding it.
But, now... there was a titanium metal almost like a protective measure against a sudden attack— for someone like Theodore who loved safety.
Tommy immediately realized that Theodore must have activated it so that it would be impossible to escape.
Tommy glared at the robots preparing their ammunition... and after that, they fired.
He watched these beams approach him in startling speed.
And suddenly, he had an idea.
The new door was a titanium one and it should be impossible for even an Ascended to destroy it... a titanium door can only be pulverized by a transcedent.
But then, if many Ascended beams slam unto the titanium door, it should also be reducing it's durability. So Tommy directed the girls to a corner while making the robots aim at him since he was the core target behind their intense attack.
Although this plan was a really good one, still... he would not be able to dodge for so long. He's not an Ascended...
He's not even a Non-return which means he was more of an ant before this beams.
Tommy saw the first beam strike and he teleported using his afterimage and then there was a thunderous boom, which left nothing but a small scratch unto the door.
Tommy's eyes twitched.
Ok, a good start at least...
He dodged two beams, his body thrown into the air at the impact.
He wasn't able to dodge in time resulting to the sudden throw-off balance.
Tommy found his heart pounding within his ribcage. But then, he froze realizing that the robot had intelligence.
Together, in their number...they aimed their beams towards Tommy and...
Also together, the beam flew forward with a terrifying speed.
Almost twenty beams... And then another twenty, since after they discharged the first, they wanted to end their target so, they released the second batch...
And then, the third.
Tommy's eyes widened in horror.
Tommy dodged the first, but the second came almost immediately... With the third, fourth, fifth....
Boom. Boom. Boom. Boom.
The shield around Tommy was ripped apart.
And then, a beam struck him sending his entire person flying, and his internal organs into intense pain.
But another beam was approaching. He might likely die if hit again.

What Tommy wanted was indeed granted, because among the beams that landed on him, a gazillion of them had slammed upon the door, Instantly blasting it away.
Tommy saw his chance and teleported using his Afterimage.
Even after appearing sixty yards away, he was still smashed unto the wall by the force of impact.
Without delaying, he grabbed the three girls.
That moment, all thirty robots aimed at him... that moment, Tommy sprinted.
The face of the beams Instantly changed and the speed at which it moved underwent a qualitative change.
Tommy was horrified.
He raised his hands, shifting his target's trajectory with his hands, and was blasted backwards in the process, an intense pain wracking him physically and mentally.
"Go now! Leave..."
Tommy shouted at the girls who Instantly sprinted towards the open door without hesitating...
Tommy had an idea of becoming a Once-return in an instant as he fought... but, without insight or idea. Crossing that threshold would be extremely difficult. So Tommy immediately decided against the idea so, the only thing reasonable to do was to escape.
Tommy sprinted after the ladies had disappeared, but a beam sent him hurtling through the entrance...
His body was already feeling disoriented, that one more strike and he would obviously die.
The only thing Tommy had as leverage was his agility and speed.
He could twist his body, change his body's position in an instant.
Something a robot cannot do, so if it's trajectory was aiming at him, Tommy could advert the position of the beam so that it doesn't touch any vital organ– for example, his heart.
Still, his left shoulder was torn and almost ripped off his body and the pain spread Instantly to his brain...
Tommy did not dwell in his state of pain, knowing that the moment he delays would definitely be the end of his era, he moved his body...
And finally embraced the darkness of the tunnel.
Using his teleportation three times, he crossed a distance of over 190-yards.
And it seem like, Theodore had laid another plan in place...
Tommy was thankful he had used his teleportation to arrive, if not... Theodore would have recaptured the girls.
As swiftly as he can, he appeared before Theodore and swung his palm at him...
A wheezing sound escaped his lips and then, a startling scream.
He did not expect Tommy to bypass the robot's syndicate.
The robots were already programmed to have the attack power of an Ascended. And the speed at which the beam is launched is always at a terrifying speed.
Tommy shouldn't have been able to survive...
Even if Tommy would survive, the robots still had a skill that upgrades their beam to Transcendent...
So how Tommy escaped was a huge blow to his personality.
Is karma working in favor for this beautiful young man?
Theodore did not know what to think, but after seeing the state Tommy was in, his right hand almost ripped off his shoulder told that the battle in there had been so strenuous to him.
Theodore was now certain that this was definitely the end of the road for him, unless of course, the robots would approach the darkened tunnels and arrive her to change the tide of the battle.
