Unknown.

I walked down the quiet path of the changing sounds of nature. I was ignoring the pungent stench of nervousness crawling up to my body. The feeling of walking down alone here in the midst of the silent forests brings me back to where my nightmare happened. My life was easy; I had all the things I wanted, even if I didn't desire to possess them. I observed my surroundings, shaking my head slowly. To make sure I was the only person walking in there.

"A dream, huh? Though why does it feel so real?" I made a face when I ran over a twig, accidentally making a squeak noise. "This is horrible." I realized, my heart instantly thumped on the sudden squeak. That dream was surely making me a nervous person. I swear I could see myself being in the hospital for a nervous breakdown.

"What?!" I stopped walking as I heard a woman's voice out of nowhere. I tried to find the source of that high noted voice. I walked towards them; I am sure that there was another person the woman was communicating to.

"What bullsh*t are you talking about?!" the woman was covered with a long cap. She was wearing a black masked that was covering her face. Her eyes were hidden as the cape's hood was the one concealing it. Although most of her body was covered, her reddish-brown hair naturally flowed through the air. It was escaping from the cage of the hood and proudly showcasing its beauty. The little curls add up to make fantastic hair. I wonder what products did she used to have that kind of her. It is to die for, and it was definitely shining even though it was already dark. I will make sure next time to note some of her products.

"M-mistress! We didn't intend to let him escape. There was a person who came to help him! Please spare my family and me." The woman's interlocutor was on their knees with his head down till the muddy land in the area. Its hand was extended to the red-haired woman that was desperately asking for forgiveness and begging for his precious life. My heart clenched as I witnessed the scene. The woman was mum as her head was raised above as if she was holding back her temper.

"One job. I only gave you a task and the easiest, to be exact!" the woman slowly crouched to level the man's action. As she was narrating all her words, she emphasized every bit of it. It reflected how she was aggravated by the unexpected outcome of her given task. It seems to be an intriguing topic since they are talking in the middle of a forest who were rarely visited by others. It must be a top-secret no one than them that should know! To my curiosity, I brought myself nearer to their location. Satisfied with the volumes of their voices, I settled myself in a big tree.

"I swear someone helped him out of the blue! We didn't discover who it was, for it was also wearing a mask and baggy clothes hiding its gender to be known! I beg you, please, I still have my daughter waiting for me." the man started crying helplessly. He was bowing his head repeatedly as his hands were clasped together and rubbing them from backward to forwards hastily.

"Preposterous! And now you dare to present yourself in front of me?! After all the disaster?!" The woman loudly shouted. Her we're tightly clutched together. She fell silent her deep breaths were exaggerated loud even if it was a meter away. After composing herself, she sauntered closely to the man's location.

"Awwe, you do know I don't give a second chance." she looked down, moved close, and placed her hands on the man who was still bowing his head. Her complexion was almost white; her bloody red nails were as dark as her hair was, screaming for elegance.

"Sad to say, darling, I am not easy to forgive people." She immediately swayed her hands in the air. She didn't give him the time to answer. She gripped his hair harshly and held it upwards, facing her hidden face. I listened to the man's loud groan in pain; his hand went up to his hair to somehow take back all the hair that the woman harshly held.

"Look at me." the man was still busy struggling. He wasn't able to obey the woman's order. He was desperately pulling his hair out of the harsh grasp.

"I said look at me!" the second time around, the anger emotion felt from her sudden shout was indeed doubled. Silence took over the three of us. Amid the silence, I heard unfamiliar noises fling around the corners of the forest. I heard her murmuring unknown words. She was likely changed like a witch in our world! I gasped; my mouth was hanging as I witnessed her hands releasing something bright. The light in her hands immediately found the man's head and hit him. It made him instantly fall from its bended knees. The woman immediately withdrew her extended hands. As the man's head is on the ground, her hands are left hanging.

"What as f*cking waste." the woman spirited out on the dead man's body. She then moved her heels to the deceased body and repeatedly stomped over it. A hysterical laugh echoed through the forest. The thin hairs in my arms rose, my heart was erratically thumping, and the chills were eating my body.

"I-I witnessed a crime. The woman surely killed him!" breathing heavily, my mind was haywire. And what was that bright thing that came out of her hands?! I was silently debating what would be my next move. Staying here will definitely costly life. The woman seems to have no remorse for the savage death of the man she knew. Busied on thinking, I unconsciously moved a big rock, creating a loud noise reverberating around.

"Is anyone there!? Don't make me find your nosy ass." Sh*t, why all of the time has karma tailed me? I pulled myself from the shock and nervousness. Thinking about it, there are no alternatives to drag myself to reality. My mind was arguing what the best option for me to take to secure and help if the man still has the chance to live is.

"What will I do." I a still hiding eagerly in this big tree. The sounds of the rock I had accidentally moved were farther from my actual location. Thankfully with the help of other stones and pebbles affected by my accidental movement, the sound was redirected to another place.

I listen to the sounds of the woman's footsteps. Her high heels were helpful for it making noises that can pinpoint where she is right now. Tilting my head, I examined if she was still there. I thoroughly scanned the place for a possible murderous presence around. Then I found the woman directing her attention to the rock sounds earlier.

This is definitely my chance to escape! Slowly I stepped back. I quietly watched the woman as he was still occupied by possible intruders, who were me. Then I saw how she extended her arms again and chanted another unfamiliar word. Her hand immediately lit up again and somehow has made all the things hindering her from seeing the cause of the rock's noises. She didn't even realize that I, the intruder was behind her and making an escape plan.

"Oh, there you are. You little mongrel, what are you doing here." her profound intimidating words were able to scare me more.

"I shouldn't have listened." I muttered, looking at how am I in a difficult situation again. I have not been able to move on from my nightmare, and now this murder scene adds up to my burdens. Step by step, I was already meters away from her. Pushing myself back to further my escape 101, I threw myself into a running stance. Hearing the clanking of my wooden slippers, I shrugged the noise and mind how important it was to get away first.

And that was that.

I immediately stopped at a familiar pathway I was initially in earlier before being a nosy brat. Looking down at my feet, there were a few visible bruises. I noticed the traces of small blood and felt it tingling painfully.

"It seems that everyday I will be able to encounter something bad." Disappointed in myself, I had the time to think about how different and upside down my life is right now. Every day I suffer, and no one except me can help me.

Sigh. My cheeks had a few drops of blood that were dripping. I always hated being dirty; it seemed too unhygienic to look at. I ran my thumb across the blood drops then wiped them off with my used clothes. After settling myself and being comfortable, I started walking back home. I then started to march off to the house.

"Need to go now, or something will happen again. You should have just stayed walking, Rovina." I muttered.
