Giant Worm!

The two were walking for a while through the desert, while they felt the sand enter between their toes.

Amazingly, it wasn't hot even though the sun was at its peak, what they felt was a bit cold, but a comfortable cold.

Noah really liked this temperature, he was feeling at home.

After walking for a while, they already left any sign of civilization behind, and looking around, everything that was different from the white sand planer was small hills, with the same white sand.

Noah stopped in the sand while picking up a bottle of water from his backpack.

"We've been walking for so long..." Alice said, while trying to hide her tiredness a little.

"If you want to give up, now's the time." Noah spoke as he sat out the water bottle for her and made his way after she picked it up.

"I'm not giving up!" She exclaimed, as she took the bottle hard and drank everything, while accelerating and stood next to Noah. 'I'm not weaker than a boy half my age!' She thought, while feeling her wounded pride. She knew he was so much better than her at anything, but refused to accept it.

She also wanted to know what makes him so strong, and that was one of the reasons she was following him.

"If you say..." Noah said, as he walked forward.

Again, they both walked for a while. Noah was focused, while he felt the blowing of the wind occasionally bump against his face.

Noah was wondering where he was supposed to go while the two of them were walking.

His eyes were focused on the front as he followed a straight and specific path... Until the ground suddenly began to shake.

The sands grain above began to jump, as they appeared to dance on top of the ground, while Noah pulled out his saber and put it on his front, while entering in a fight position and waiting for something to happen.

Alice was struggling to stay standing while the ground shook as if an earthquake was happening there.

Noah looked at a specific part of the ground as his eyes began to glow red. He saw thousands of lines on the ground, while the number of them seemed to increase, when the ground began to open, only to make room for a giant earthworm that came out of there.

The worm roared as it removed its body halfway through the ground, moving its head toward Noah. Looking straight, its head was just a round mouth with several sharp and huge teeth.

'A desert worm?' Noah thought, as his smile had been on. 'Looks like I'm going to have to go all out.' This monster was often stronger than the hawk, and he knew it even without using Nen, while looking at the teeth of the huge worm, which dripped a corrosive green liquid.

Noah looked for a while at the worm, which did the same to him. The sclere of Noah's right eye turned completely black, while veins appeared around his eye.

"Ahg!!" Alice fell into the ground with her ass in fright to see Noah's eye suddenly change. "Y-you eyes..." She said, as she looked wide-eyed.

Noah didn't turn around while he talked.

"What? Will you give up of follow me now?" He said, as his smile widened as he saw the desert worm move a little, but did not attack.

"No..." Alice said, as she got up and cleaned her pants. She had already decided to follow him, and although she now realized that his secrets were not something so simple, and she would probably never will find out, she knew she would be stronger just to be on his side.

"I know you don't. You've seen too much." Noah said, already planning to kill her in case she tried to escape, she saw something he didn't want to show until he learned Nen.

"If you try to scape, i'll catch you." He said.

Now that she's seen it, there's no way he could let her go without consequences. In a world where people slaughtered an entire clan just by the peculiarity of their eyes, Noah wasn't looking for trouble.

Alice hearing this, trembled as she understood the meaning of his words and connected it to his eyes.

"Well, now that you've seen this..." Noah said, when his position returned to a comfortable one, while he turned his face to Alice and throwed his saber for her to catch.

Alice took a step back before holding the saber in her hands.

"W-What are you going to do?" She asked, while looking at Noah.

Noah said nothing as he looked at the worm in front of him and his smile gets bigger.

Suddenly, on top of his back, a red liquid burst when wings took shape from that liquid, scaring Alice. She looked at him as she realized it was really something Noah didn't want her to know. And she also understood his motive, it seemed to be something very bloody.

She looked at those red crystalline wings as she took another step away from it.

"Now I don't have to hold on to myself..." Noah said, when he suddenly disappeared from his place while using Sonido, appearing on top of the desert worm, while his wings fired thousands of sharp projectiles at the worm.

The worm could not keep up with Noah's speed, as he seemed to move instantly, but the worm seemed to know where Noah was when it turned to him quickly as it opened his mouth and swallowed all the projections sent toward him.

Closing his mouth, the worm threw himself at Noah, while Alice looked there with his mouth open. Noah was moving in a way that she couldn't see straight.

Noah once again used Sonido, but this time to pull away, while appearing 10 meters further behind where he was a momment, aiming his finger at the worm, which was already heading towards him.

Noah began to charge Cero, making a small black sphere shows on his finger, which shine brightly. Meanwhile, he did not fail to cast projections, while his kagune was expelling more and more vibrant red crystals in the worm, which had its mouth open and swallowed them all.

Some of the cristals didn't hit inside the worm's mouth as they hit its shell of his carcass from the outside, but did not seem to do much damage, just to dissappear on the air.

Alice wanted to come in the fight, but when she looked at that green liquid that dripped on the ground that opened a hole in the middle of the sand, she gave up the idea while looking at the fight from afar.

'That's not something I should intrude on' she thought, while holding the saber against her chest and looked at it.

Noah saw that the worm was getting closer and closer as he sent his cero to the center of his mouth, while increasing the amount of projectiles in his direction.

A black beam went in the direction of the worm, while it was surrounded by thousands of red crystals. The worm once again opened its mouth as it increased its speed for Noah, and tried to swallow him along with his attacks.

Noah once again disappeared from his spot while watching the worm swallow the spot where he was, with his Cero while burying himself in the sand. The worm then disappeared into the sand, while Noah waited 10 meters next to the local where the worm left a hole unentered.

Noah was alert because he knew it wasn't over when the ground shook again, and the worm left at full speed next to where Noah was, while roaring loudly and caused the ground shook increase.

Noah looked at the beast that appeared to be in pain, while its mouth expelled a small line of black smoke.

'Even the cero didin't anything? Tsc.' He thought, as two tails came out of his back and he focused his eyes even more while searching for lines.

"Looks like it's going to have to be that way." He said, as he disappeared from his location and appeared in front of the giant worm and used one of its tails as a whip, aiming at one of the many lines he saw.

The worm had no time to reation, as the Noah's tail appeared to disappear into the air and reappear at its side, while it hit it with full force. The thick tail failed to cut, but only his blow caused the worm's shell to shatter into a thousand pieces, while blue blood splashed from the spot like a waterfall.

*Roar*

The worm roared in pain for it as it advanced once more upwards of Noah with his mouth open. Noah used Sonido to swerve, appearing 5 meters to the side, while swinging his tail to hit another line, but before he could do that, a different tail came behind him at overwhelming speeds, he saw that the worm had begun to get used to his way of moving, while he had no time to use Sonido and was struck by the tail.

He was throwed throughout the local, while his clothes that was on the place that the worm hitted, were torn and thousands of deep cuts could be seen at his skin.

He spun for a while in the ground, while lefting a blood line where he past. Stabilizing on the ground, he looked at the tail that struck him, seeing that it was the same as the worm, which it had not pulled his tail out of the sand until that moment. The end of the worm's tail, which was where it hit him, was full of sharp and hard thorns, and could be seen entering the sand, while the worm once again went away from the surface, leaving a blue trail of his blood in the corners of the hole it had just made.

Noah heard his blood falling into the sand while the pain caught him by surprise, but more surprising than that was the fact that he didn't bother with it.

He looked angrily at the worm when the cuts on his body began to close at perceptive speed to the naked eye. Wiping the blood in his mouth, he looked at where the worm came in.

'Looks like it's not going to be that easy...' He thought, as he prepared for another wave of attacks.
