You have a Pet?

After Adam was smacked on the head by his wife, god knows which time now, he calmed down and I explained the situation.

"After spending so much time together, we grew close, and it just happened, we proposed to each other, kind of, and yeah, that's that.." I tried to explain, masterfully, as you can see.

"..And I thought this is going to take time and a lot of nerves for us and be a lot more troublesome.. we never would have thought your relationship would advance so much... but I guess that's good too" Adam smiled proudly.

"Huh? What do you mean by that, darling? You told me that the Emperor approved.. can you explain more specifically?" Mona looked with emotionless eyes, that asked for an explanation, at her husband, who felt chills going down his spine.

"Well... uhh.. me and that old man.. kind of uhh.. wanted to get them together... and uhh.. planned..? some things" Adam was powerless under his wives gaze.

"We will talk about this later" Mona simply said, which made Adam panic, and the panic was written all over his face.

"Well, congratulations to you both, you two really are a good couple, and Kiran.." My mother then looked at me.

"Uh.. yeah?" I asked with an expression similar that to of my father's right now, because I felt the famous gaze too.

"You are very lucky to have her, don't you dare make her sad in any way" She warned me with a serious expression.

"Mommm, you really don't believe in your son in any way, do you..?" I looked at her in disbelief.

"I am just making sure.. and looking at your father right here.. I hope you won't be like him, his character is terrible, I don't even know what I found in him" My mom shook her head, but then turning around and smiling, because all she said was just to annoy her husband a bit, he deserved it.

They are always like that. Because of their behaviour such as this, it's sometimes hard to believe that they are one of the strongest individuals in the empire. In fact it's hard to believe that one of them is one of the best professors in the most luxurious Magic Academies in the world, while the other is a literal general who commands an army...

"HUH? what do you mean?! Whats wrong with my character? It's perfect, I tell you Mona, it's absolutely perfect!" Adam praised himself shamelessly, "And what do you mean you don't know what you found in me?!"

My mother just ignored him and was gone in an instant, in a flash of lightning.

"You!" Adam was about to get angry but then muttered "I see what games you are playing you woman, just let me catch you, and you will know" Adam then merged with the shadows, soundless, and as if he were never there.

"I guess.. that's it for today.." I said embarrassed by my parents.. "And I am sorry for their behaviour.. " I felt a need to apologize.

"Don't worry, they are not that bad, My father is the same.." Kiara shook her head.

"Well that old man really is weird sometimes, as much as I remember, he and my father always spoke and did the most random shit one could think of... Despite their age they both act like children sometimes.." I remembered a few times when the Emperor visited.

"...well I guess, but hear me out... The funny, or no, actually the sad thing is, is that your father is around 50 while mine is over 300… your dad is only a decade older than my eldest brother... your father, in fact, can even be my fathers son, if we look at their ages... but despite their huge age difference they act like total children..." Kiara wondered why does she have a father like that, well she loved him, and really cared for him... but he was just too childish sometimes...

"Well at least their children are a bit more mature.." I said while smiling at my own joke.

"You? mature? Yeah sure, then I am a goddess or something hahaha" Kiara laughed at my words.

"Says the woman who poked me on the head with a stick thinking she can do something with it if I were possessed" I sneered at her.

"..No comment" Kiara turned her head away.

Later I showed Kiara around the mansion, compared to her palace it was nothing worth mentioning, but it was still something, and Kiara was interested what her future husband's living quarters where he lived his whole life looked like.

The last place to show her was my room, when we entered it, there was a Giant king size bed and a lot of bookshelves filled with books, there were even some books just laying on the floor, because there wasn't enough place for them.

I liked to read and also that was one of the reasons I know so much about everything, be it history of the World, about every creature in this world, about every known element, and loads of other different stuff like economy, business and such.

"You like to read?" Kiara asked a question with an obvious answer.

"I liked to read yes, there was nothing else to do in my free time when I wasn't training, so I found a hobby of sorts. My mom was the one to give me all these books, she is a professor so she knows the best books from which one can learn about anything there is.

When we looked at my bed, we both saw something laying in my bed.

"Hey.. what is that" Kiara asked.

"SNOWFLAKE!" I ran up to a creature similar to a cat, only that it was a tad larger in size and the colour of snow. That cat like creature had a Snowflake on his forehead and an icicle on its tale.

"purrrrr" Snowflake purred at me petting him.

"That's a snow mountain cat?" Kiara asked me confused of why would I have such a creature in my bedroom.

"Yeah, I wanted a cat so my Mother bought me one… this was not what I imagined when I wanted a cat, but this is even better, you are the best right snowflake?" I asked Snowflake for his opinion to himself.

The cat just raised his head with closed eyes and purred when I was scratching him under his ears.

"You don't like cats?" I asked Kiara, I didn't understand why she wasn't jumping towards the little animal and calling him cute just like nearly every girl does, guess she is not like 'every' girl then..

"No, it's not that, it's just that I didn't expect for you to have a pet" Kiara went and petted the cat too.

The response of the Cat was him purring even louder. This cat was different than normal ones, he was all about attention, he liked when others petted him, but only the ones that he approved of. Since Kiara had a faint smell of Kiran, Snowflake naturally let the redhead princess pet him.

"Why wouldn't I have a pet?" I asked.

"Well considering you brutally slaughtering those creatures in the forest... some could even be good pets you know..." Kiara replied.

"Nah, they had killing intent directed at me, so whatever happened to them, they deserved it. And by the way, don't compare Snowflake to those mindless brutes." I said proudly with Snowflake on my lap.
