A Tournament and a Sloth

The next day, a maid knocked on my bedrooms door, "Young Master Kiran, Lady Mona has called for you."

I rubbed my eyes, still being sleepy, "..huh? oh, yeah, coming!"

I saw Kiara still sleeping peacefully next to me, together with Snowflake laying on her belly, all curled up in a furry ball.

'He really took a liking of her huh..' I thought before pulling myself out of bed.

I did a few stretches and went into my personal bathroom to wash up a bit.

Yeah, every bedroom in the mansion has a bathroom.

After I put some clothes on I went out of the room where my mom's personal maid was waiting for me. Her name is Vivian and she was one of the main maids of the mansion, meaning nearly all the other maids were under her, except for the two maids who were under my father, Nina and Mila.

All three of them were the top in the maid Pyramid so to say.

Vivian seeing me come out led me to my father's room, "Lady Mona is waiting for you inside" She said with an indifferent voice to which I was used to over the years living here.

"Mom?" I asked, coming into the room.

My mother was sitting on my father's chair behind the desk, "Good morning sweetie, did you sleep well?"

"Good morning, it's always better to sleep in your own bed, so, naturally, I slept well. Oh and by the way, where is dad?" I asked, noticing that father was not in the room.

"Oh he went out, he said he needs to go to the palace for some reason.." She said, "Oh and for the reason I called you here.."

"yeah?" I looked at her with questioning eyes

"There will be a tournament hosted by the Three Great Empires, and the Top 3 will get their corresponding prizes. The Top 1 will get a chance to wish for anything, be it Wealth, Fame or anything else that can come to mind, The Three Empires will do everything to give you what you desire. But even though you can still get anything you want as is right now, you can make a name for yourself in the world, since not only the three great Empires are going to participate but also all the kingdoms are going to be there too." She said

"..." I just listened.

I looked at her with the same eyes, showing disbelief, "You would have dragged me there if I didn't agree?"

"Anyways... only people under the age of 20 can participate, so there is no chance someone will be in the 4th Order and possess a Law Domain. By the way... How are you already at the middle of 3rd Order.." She squinted her eyes.

"The Tournament was hosted every 5 years after the war ended. Meaning this is already the 4th time it's hosted. And this time it's going to take place in the Ezaliton Empire. Any questions?" Mona asked as if she just explained a subject to her student and wanted to know if he didn't understand something.

"Well I have a few actually, how many participants are there going to be? And who are the most promising ones to win?" I asked the most important questions I could think of at the moment.

"Every Empire is allowed to send out 10 participants from their side, while the Kingdoms can send out 2 of their most Talented Individuals. As for who has the most chances to win... I am not sure.. From our side there are at least 3, including you who are the most likely to win. "So I guess there are already people picked from our Empire, am I right?" I asked, "And let me guess, you have already signed me up, before I even agreed since you wanted to drag me there if I had denied..." I was the one to squint my eyes at her now.

"...Basically" Mona said shamelessly.

"unbelievable.." I muttered under my breath.

"Anyways, I have already told you everything I wanted you to hear, oh and breakfast is as per usual." She changed the subject.

I turned around after I said, "Nah, I will probably sleep the whole day, I don't have any energy to even stand right now"

"Crazy night huh?" she muttered

"huh?" I turned around.

"huh?" She smiled at me with a knowing smile, "Anyways do you know that Sloth is a sin?"

"MOM!! We didn't do anything! And I am not a Sloth!" I shouted, though Mona was long gone.

'her speed is just something...' I thought.

'Maybe..'

I then returned to my bedroom where Kiara was still sleeping soundly, with some of her hair covering half her face, which she used for a second pillow.

I layed down next to her and slept for the whole day.
