Weird

"I know you are angry, but I promise to sort that out before the marriage holds on."

"What are you talking about? You better get a wife for my son. I chose your daughter over all the girls out there because I knew you are a responsible man. And I thought you raised your girl in an appropriate manner. But I was wrong." he said. His heart raced in his chest as he looked at his phone, he willed his hands to stop shaking as he slowly listened to what his childhood friend had been saying."

"I know how furious you are but I promise to make it up to you." Jack replied politely.

Bernand was done with him on phone, he took his seat and took a deep breath. Harley had been staring at him for a while, all lost he asked to know why Sarah turned off the marriage plans.

"Son I got no idea, but he must fix that before tomorrow morning, he has just a few hours, or else he won't like to face me." Bernand mentioned.

"If he promised to fix that then we have no other choice than to wait for him, I'm sure he'll sort that, okay dad. So please resume to your room and take some rest."

Bernand had to stress out by himself, his son was only getting married for business purposes, while he needed grandkids. He was his only son, growing up he had always wanted him to have lots of kids, he was soon 30 and had no single kid roaming around. He was over thinking, Harley did not want him to raise the conversation concerning kids, he succeeded in getting to his room without his dad mentioning about that.

The night was long, the cold weather and the lightening of the sky woke Jack from his sleep. He had no rest knowing he was in trouble, it was either he replaced Sarah to another or lose his friendship with the Thomson's. It was 6:00 AM when the alarm rang, he got out of bed and was on his way to his baby sister's house. On arrival, her door was locked up, with no light to portray if she was in or not. A knock on her door....

"Who's that?" she asked politely, she always slept late and could only get up late equally. Hearing a knock on her door that morning left her speechless, she thought it was from the neighborhood. Unfortunately, before she could close her eyes she heard another knock. "Wait, is someone actually knocking on my door? Can't believe this." she mumbled. Queen has been dramatic and had told her friends who wished to visit to only come in the evenings, and there someone was knocking on her door at 6:30. She got out of bed, faced her mirror to see if she was good to go, and lastly, she turned on the light. Though she was feeling as to sleep, she had to sacrifice that. On reaching the door, she noticed the green t-shirt the person knocking was putting on. She wasn't able to see the person's face but she was quite familiar with the t-shirt. "Isn't that Jack's t-shirt?" she mumbled while opening the door.

"Hello girl." Jack mentioned.

"Good morning Jack," she said politely.

"Surprised?" he asked.

"Of course yes, you've never visited me at this hour? And you rarely come to my apartment, you would have made a phone call as you always did. What changed?" she asked curiously.

"Let's say I was missing you and wanted to see you." he said calmly. Queen was worried, she knew her brother will never visit her unless he had something important to tell her.

"Well, I know that face and won't fall for that, what do you want me to do for you this time?" she asked while staring at him, with her legs placed above her foot carpet.

"Yes, you are right. I can't hide it away from you. You are the only one who can save my name at this moment," he said. He was breathing so fast, this got Queen nervous, she widely opened the door for him and asked him to take a seat, he sat and she went into the kitchen to get him something to drink.

"Here's a cup of coffee please have that and stop breathing fast, you are getting me nervous," she said as she was shivering. Jack took a sip and placed it at the little table standing next to him. He cleared his throat and began.

"I want you to get married to Harley Thomson this morning." he said while looking straight into her eyes.

"What did you say?" she asked, it was like the world was falling apart, she felt like she wasn't part of it anymore.

"You heard me Queen, the marriage is set for 10:00 AM this morning. I will love seeing you in a white gown accompanied by me." he said.

"What?" she had no idea of what her brother wanted her to do that morning but it was weird. Getting married to a man she only saw on TV.

"I know it's difficult for you but trust me, I got you covered on this, I'll make it up to you." Jack mumbled. He knew at any moment he could receive a negative answer from his sister, she was the reserved type and was not interested in getting married, all she longed for was a good job and a modest life.

"What happened to Sarah? Aren't they longer getting married? Because I'm lost here, say something." she said boldly.

"Sarah turned off the marriage, and she did that last night, if I don't get him a bride before 10:00 AM I'll end up in a messy situation," he said calmly.

"Alright.... I will do it for you!" she said firmly.

She had no intentions of getting married but seeing Jack almost in tears got her worried, she had to save his name. She had never set her eyes on Harley, neither did she know his behavior, for her brother she relinquished did that. She checked the time and it was 8:11 AM already, she had to prepare for her marriage. "Oops! How do I tell my friends I'm getting contracted to a man I know nothing about in exactly two hours?"
