Ruby stared at them with a questionable expression. Why was her husband coming in with these strangers when he had called off the party? Is there anything she is not aware of?

Ruby was dumbfounded, and so also everyone who was in the room. They couldn't tell if these people were the reason Ruby called the celebration to an end just to attend to them.

"Wow!" Hailey gasped happily as she freed her hand from her father's grip and walked up to Aidan and embraced him from behind.
