"Mom look, I can fly now!"

Ryan shouted excitedly as he levitated off the ground and started hovering around the living room with Becca looking at him weirdly as he did so.

"....Yeah, that's amazing. Your training is paying off, Virgil will be so proud."

Becca said with a smile, as she came to take her car keys from the shelf on the wall.

"I know right! I can't wait to show him when he's back. This is so awesome."

Ryan said as he flew, his body slowly adapting to the experience allowing him to make less mistakes during his flight.

Becca watched all this with a smile but deep down she didn't like it one bit. She would prefer that Ryan didn't have any powers but sadly that didn't happen.

The thought that one day Ryan will end up like his father scares her sometimes but knowing that Virgil won't let that happen makes her less anxious.

"I'm going to take something from the car honey, I will be back in a bit."

She said with a smile and left the living room to outside of the house, dressed in Jeans with a blue blouse.

It is in the evening so the street lights and some of the external house lights were on, making the whole place bright enough for her to see her surroundings.

She walked to her car parked near the road and opened the front seat, the moment she put her body in the car, a voice interrupted her.

"Do you know anywhere around here that's not being monitored by cameras?"

Butcher who is dressed in his usual apparel, seated in the backseat of the car said.

Hearing him, Becca didn't respond and behaved normally as the cameras were focused so she just closed the door and went back inside the house.

Five minutes later, she came back to her car and showed a certain card to the camera that had a red light repeatedly flashing.

She waited till she saw a green light now flashing and entered her car. She drove off seconds later and after driving in silence with no one speaking, she arrived under a bridge, her car light illuminating the dark cold place.

She and Butcher immediately got off the car and hugged each other with tears in their eyes.

"I've missed you Becca, I've missed you so much."

Butcher said emotionally and tightened the hug, Becca gently held his face and stared into his eyes, the next moment she gave him a light kiss.

"You shouldn't be here Butcher, it's not safe."

Becca said as she stopped the kiss with worry in her eyes.

"It don't matter, what matters is that I'm right here with you. I'm not going to let anyone interrupt this moment. I thought you were dead."

Butcher said in a tone filled with love as he held her waist and chin, his eyes staring at hers with resolve and sadness.

"I'm so sorry Butcher, I can't imagine how you must've felt all these years, I'm so sorry."

Becca apologized with tears in her eyes and hugged him again, her tears snaking down her face.

"No no, I shouldn't have stopped looking. No one hurt you right?"

"No, don't worry I'm all right."

"Good."

Butcher said and kissed her again, they kissed passionately with Butcher running his hands all over her body as they fiercely made out.

"Wait, I should head back. They are going to suspect if I'm not back, please wait for me."

She said with a loving smile and left his arms; she entered her car soon after and left Butcher alone in the dark place, promising to come back soon.

Thirty minutes later, she came back.

"Everything's okay now, ..where were we?"

She asked in a sly tone and kissed him, they started making out passionately with their hands roaming all over their bodies in a lustful manner as they fondled themselves.

They soon found themselves inside the backseat of the car with no clothes on and started having passionate sex, fully expressing their emotions and feelings for each other.

Unknown to Butcher, Becca wasn't enjoying this as much he did as a result of a certain someone but this was hidden since she faked her enjoyment not to ruin the moment.

Thus, they enjoyed each other's company. Unaware that this is going to be their last.

Inside the hallway on the sixteenth floor of the Tower, Homelander can be seen leisurely walking towards the elevator in his superhero suit passing by several rooms with Queen Maeve walking towards him with a angry expression on her face.

"What did you do to Elena?"

Maeve questioned when she came caught up to him, her tone indicating how furious and afraid she is.

"Dont worry, she's fine.... mostly.. I think? Anyways, nothing's wrong."

Homelander replied nonchalantly as he continued walking with a harmless smile on his face.

"What did you do!"

She grabbed his shoulders to stop him but he turned and grabbed her neck, his smile disappearing as he started choking her.

"I told you she's fine, I only made her body a reminder of what happens when you lie to me again.

You see Maeve, I'm tired of all the bullshit around, I still couldn't believe it when I found out you were lying to me about her. What made you think I wouldn't find out?"

Homelander asked, his eyes showing how disappointed he is at her.

She remained silent and looked at him with fear, her eyes showing slightly tearing as she thought of the horrible things Homelander might have done to her.

"Sigh, to be honest I'm kinda of happy for you. I'm just fed up with all the lies Maeve, promise me it won't happen again."

Homelander sighed in a bitter tone and looked at her tear stained face with a crazy smile.

She looked at his face for a while and nodded gently as he stopped choking her and removed his hands from her neck.

"Good, I will see you later Maeve. Oh and give my regards to Elena for me."

Homelander said with an innocent smile and walked away, leaving Maeve behind who clenched her fists so hard that she started bleeding when she saw him walking away.

'Congratulations asshole, you've made me angry. You will pay for what you've done Homelander, I swear it. Even if it's the last thing I will do.'

She thought as her eyes flashed darkly and walked away.
