It's been a week since Virgil left for the procedure, I still feel anxious about his safety even though I know nothing can happen to him.

Two months is a long time but I can still wait.

He said after he's done, Zoe and I can go through the same thing and be like him as a family, which is kinda fishy if you really know Virgil.

Anyways, he has sent me some things to do in order for there to be no complications.

Sigh, that bastard and his devious plans, always wanting to have everything under control in his own sick twisted way.

He intends to speed up a lot of things when he comes back, meaning I also have to speed up mine. Next year is the election and in order for me to become President, a lot of things must go on.

Including a lot of killing, the fun part of it all. Unfortunately and fortunately, I'm registered as your regular human.

I can still 'pull out some weeds' but it's kinda risky and as Virgil says, leaders need to leave the dirty work to their subordinates.

"Mommy, when will you be back?"

Zoe asked, seated on a sofa as I entered the large luxurious living room.

"I won't keep long honey, I'm just meeting someone. The person will be living with us for a while now, you might even turn to be best friends."

I said with a smile as I took my car keys from the shelf near the flat screen television on the blue wall.

"Seriously, hmm okay. By the way, when will dad come to visit, I miss him."

Zoe said the last part in a low tone, her head slightly lowered.

"Awwn sweetie don't worry, he is doing something really important that's why he hasn't been around lately. Tell you what, when I come back we can go to Vought Land and chill the entire day."

I said with a smile as I sat on the sofa and hugged her.

"Really? Thanks mom, you're the best!"

She removed her head from my chest and excitedly exclaimed, a smile on her cute and beautiful face.

"I know, I know, you don't have to tell me."

I playfully said in an arrogant manner and kissed her forehead, after that I got off the sofa and went outside after waving her goodbye.

Admiring the surroundings of the villa for a while, I went to my garage and entered my customized white Vesla SUV and drove off after a minute.

I'm going to meet the person who will do my dirty work for me with none the wiser, someone Virgil told me to take.

After two and half hours of driving, I passed by the Pennsylvania welcome sign and officially entered into the state.

Twenty minutes later, I parked my car in front of another car in a secluded forest road and got out when I saw a man getting off the car.

"Madam Victoria, it's a pleasure to meet your acquaintance."

The man known as Lamplighter greeted with a smile when we came close to each other.

He is a relatively handsome tall middle aged caucasian man with a black hair and goatee that's graying, he is wearing a brown T-shirt with a black jacket on top with Jeans and canvas shoes.

A former superhero now turned into a caretaker for Vought's secret children squad.

Hmm, he seems happy. Virgil told me he did something really bad that broke him so they had to remove him from the team.

With the help of Virgil, his mental health was stabilised and now he is fiercely loyal to Virgil and his cause.

Bullshit, he probably brainwashed the poor guy. I won't expect anything less from that psycho... not that I'm any better.

"The pleasure is all mine, Mr Lamplighter. Is the girl here?"

"Yes, give me a sec. Cindy please come out."

He looked at the car and called, seconds later a beautiful tall brown haired girl with an hourglass figure dressed in casual clothing got down from the car.

"Cindy, this is Victoria. You are going to be with her for now. I'm going to take my leave Madam Victoria, until next time."

He said with a smile and entered the car, moments later he drove off leaving me and Cindy who is looking at me weirdly.

"Hi, let's ge--"

"What is Virgil to you and why did he assign me to you?"

She rudely cut me off in an annoyed tone as she crossed her arms in front of her.

Sigh, I understand now. She is basically another woman who couldn't resist his charms and is obsessed with him, his involvement in training her also counts.

He always goes for the crazy ones, .... well if he didn't then I wouldn't have met him.

"Hmm, I don't feel like saying it. What are you going to do about it?"

I shrugged with a nonchalant smile on my face, my hands in my pockets facing her.

"....You love him don't you? I can practically smell it all over you, just so you know he's mine only. I'm the only thing he needs so.... don't try anything funny else..."

She said in an amused tone as if she was testing me and later threatened with a crazy grin and look that made a twisted smile etch on my face.

It seems I need to show this crazy girl who is the boss, she isn't the only one obsessed here.

"Else what?"

I asked in a provocative tone that made her really annoyed that she started floating off the ground.

"Else... I might just kill you."

She said with a crazy grin on her beautiful face, her body in the air looking down at me condescendingly.

I just smirked in response and used my power to target her brain, second later she started bleeding from her nose and ears.

"Blood? What's goi--- Ahhh!"

She held her head and screamed in pain.

<Bang!>

Her body fell on the ground, clutching her head in pain.

"Cindy... you seem like a nice and powerful girl and frankly I'm happy someone like you is going to be by my side but please remember I'm the one in charge.

You might be more stronger but I can still kill you before you blink just know that, I'm way out of your league pal.

Just to clarify, I'm Virgil's girlfriend and fiancee so that kinda makes me your boss too."

I knelt down next to her and calmly explained with a smile as her pain stopped, she looked at me with both fear and surprise when she heard this and this turned into overwhelming respect the next second since she probably confirmed my words with her ability.

"Let's go to your new home, we are going to be a family now. I'm sure you will love it."

I flashed her a charming smile and extended my hand to her and helped her unto her feet after she took it.

Oh Virgil, my love. I have to reward you for giving me this, she's going to make my life so much easier.
