Chapter Forty-Nine

Kate launched herself at the Queen of the Gods but before she could make a connection she was sideswiped and wound up on her back looking up at Deimos.

"Hello beautiful, did you miss me?" she turned her head away from his face so his hot breath wasn't blowing directly up her nose. She squirmed underneath him trying to get free until she realized he was enjoying himself.

"You are disgusting Deimos," she hissed through gritted teeth. His smile made her skin crawl, and she had to fight to keep still. With a howl of rage, he was no longer on top of her and Zagryus reached down to help her to her feet. They faced off with Deimos whose lips curled, a vein pulsed in his forehead, and the look of death he had directed at Zagryus made Kate nervous.

"Get Hera, I can deal with this one." Kate paused wanting to make sure he was going to be okay, but he waved his hand behind him, "Go Kate."

"And who are you?" Deimos growled as he looked Zagryus up and down.
