Summons

"Okay, with these summon scrolls, it is only a matter of dropping some of your blood infused with your chakra onto them to make a connection to them. When the contract forms, place your hand on it and inject it with your chakra. The inscription will then flow up your arm, creating a tattoo of the respective summoning contract." Jiraiya explained, causing Kakashi, who was still standing at the side, to raise an eyebrow.

"Ummm… Jiraiya, where do you get these summoning scrolls?" Kakashi had never seen such scrolls. Normally one would need to form a contract with the respective summon before they could actually begin summoning anything.

"These are the only two in existence. Where I got them from I can not say." Jiraiya answered firmly. Kakashi went silent and did not ask anymore after that. Deciding to just read his book, feeling a bit dejected.

Yuki and Hinata both unfurled their scrolls to see many unique inscriptions on them. They laid the scrolls on the ground before pricking their fingers and dropping a drop of chakra infused blood into the center circle.

The scrolls flashed with a bright light as an inscription began to appear in the center of the scroll. This was the contract inscription that they were about to receive. It slowly began to intertwine into different strange symbols before finally flashing brightly once more as it came to completion.

"Alright, good! Now as I said, place your hand on it while infusing your chakra into it." Jiraiya explained once more.

Yukie and Hinata both did as Jiraiya said and pressed their hands onto the scrolls and began pushing their chakra into the inscriptions. This time as the inscriptions lit up, they lit up with two different colors. Yuki's was pure white, while Hinata's was reddish yellow. The inscriptions began to slowly flow up their arms as if they were water until they reached the forearm. The inscription symbols glowed once more before imprinting into their skin and settling down.

Yuki never in her life would have thought that she would one day get a tattoo at the age of five. But for some reason, she felt that the contract tattoo had a mystical feel to it when she looked at it. As she gazed at it with a bit of anticipation, words began to form in her head. But instead of being surprised as to what was going on, a smile formed on her face. "Seems to be perfect for me…."

[Indeed. To think you would get my brethren as you contract summon. You are truly a lucky girl. Although they have less tails than me, they will still hold true to the contract and serve you well.]

Yuki wanted to roll her eyes. She knew Khione had something to do with this contract. Yuki looked up at Jiraiya to see what they needed to do next. She really wanted to test out this summon jutsu.

Luckily, Jiraya did not make them wait long. "Okay, before you summon, go to different ends of the training field. Then to actually use the summon, trace your blood across the contract and call out your summons."

Yuki and Hinata both vanished from where they stood and were now currently standing at opposite ends of the field. On Yuki's side, she took a deep breath to calm her excitement as she bit her finger and ran it across her tattoo. "Tailed Snow Fox Summoning Jutsu!"

A big cloud of smoke filled the area and Yuki found herself rising into the air onto a fluff of warm fur. "Hmmm? Why do I smell my great ancestors?"

As the smoke cleared, Yuki saw that she was standing on top of the head of a pure white snow fox with twelve tails. "If you mean Khione, she is residing inside me right now."

"Oh? Little one is the one who summoned me? Yes, I do feel your chakra is very familiar. I see, so this is why you were able to summon me. This one's name is Byakko. Tell me, little one, how is the great ancestor?" Byakko instantly took a liking to Yuki because her chakra reminded her of her ancestor.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Byakko. My name is Yuki. As for Khione, she is doing fine." Yuki answered with a big smile on her lips as she hugged the fur. It was soft and warm. She really enjoyed it.

"That is good. From this moment on, we are now bound together. You can call upon me and my kin whenever you need."

On the other side of the field, Hinata had summoned her summon as well. She stood on top of a large bird with ten tail feathers. But this bird was no ordinary bird. It was covered in fire, with arcs of lightning dancing about the flames. "Human, why did you call me here?"

"I was forming a contract with you and wanted to see what you looked like," Hinata answered honestly.

"Wanted to see what I looked like…. You wished to peer at this great one's beauty, did you!? Hahahaha! I like you, girl!" The giant bird let out a roar of a laugh, causing the air itself to tremble. "You may call me Vermillion. But unlike my kin, I am fused of two elements, fire, and lightning. What is your name?"

"My name is Hinata. It will be a pleasure working with you from now on. We can protect Yuki together!" Hinata said with a big smile. While she did wish to grow stronger and stronger to make those who abandoned her regret what they did, she also wished to protect the one person who saved her from a life of grief.

"It seems the two of us will get along well." Vermillion liked Hianta's declaration.
