First Dance

Yuki walked over to where Hinata was and plopped her butt right onto the ground to rest. Hinata took the towel at her side and began drying Yuki's hair as it was covered in sweat. "Hinata, be careful, he now knows flash step."

"Mmm… I saw everything. I will be sure to beat him up for you." Hinata spoke firmly with a bit of anger. Over the past year, Yuki had become someone irreplaceable to Hinata. With no family, the only one she had was Yuki. She looked up to Yuki, who was so powerful even though she was so young. So she worked extra hard to try to catch up as much as she possibly could. While she could not match Yuki if Yuki got serious, she could at least hold her own against stronger older opponents.

Yuki chuckled at Hinata's words. "Don't beat him up too bad. Just be careful. He will probably not look down on you after my fight with him."

"Mmm…." Hinata nodded as she finished drying Yuki's hair and pulled a brush out from her chest pocket, and began brushing it. Jiraiya, who watched how smoothly Hinata was taking care of Yuki, wondered just how much did this little girl prepare for today. He wanted to know who comes to training with a towel and brush on them!? Now that he was thinking about it, it always seemed like Hinata was always prepared to take care of Yuki. It had become so natural that even Yuki did not see anything off. But when he looked at the little girl's smiling face as she brushed Yuki's hair, he decided to let things be.

But the peaceful scene in front of Jiraiya did not last long. "Yuki! Hollow!"

Yuki's clothes suddenly transformed into her pure white shinigami uniform as she stood up and stared off in a certain direction. "Yuki!?"

"Jiraiya, take care of Hinata. A hollow appeared." Yuki said before taking a step forward and disappearing.

"Hollow…." Jiraiya mumbled as he remembered the time Yuki was hanging in mid air that day. "Kakashi, finish your test with Hinata. I will be back!"

Kakashi was confused as to what was going on as he slowly made his way back over to the group. He looked at Jiraiya running off and wanted to say something, but Jiraiya had already run too far off. He looked over at Hinata, who was staring at her brush, pouting. "Hinata, what is going on?"

"Yuki had to go fulfill her duty. " Hinata said before putting her brush away and folding up the towel before she looked at Kakashi. "Now then. Shall we continue the test? I promised Yuki that I would beat you up."

Kakashi's eye twitched as she looked at the little girl who was filled with confidence and started to feel a cold chill run down his spine. 'There can't be two little demons, right!?'

On the other side of things, Yuki had already made it halfway across Konoha and was currently standing on top of a building looking down at an open field. In front of her was a spider like hollow chasing after a little boy with a chain sticking out of his chest. 'So Rukia, is this what hollows do?'

"Yes, they will hunt down souls that have yet to pass on and consume them to gain more power. As Shinigami, you will need to stop them and release them to go to the soul society. You should also send off the little boy as well." Rukia answered. Her voice was low as she watched the little boy's soul running for its life.

"Then I guess I better move…." Yuki mumbled before taking a step forward and appearing in front of the little boy soul. She turned her head and smiled at the little boy. "Don't move!"

"Huh? Yes…" The little boy soul was confused why a little girl who looked younger than him appeared out of nowhere. Not to mention she could see him. But he felt that looking at her confident smile and her straight back as it faced down the monster gave him a bit of hope for survival.

"I guess I can finally use the first dance….. First Dance, White Moon…." Yuki held her zanpakuto upside down as the blade began to glow along with a circular area in front of her. Cold air began to build up within the circle, and just as the hollow entered the circle, she slashed out. A cylinder of cold air that freezes everything it touches shot up into the sky, seemingly without end. Yuki looked at the frozen hollow within her cylinder of ice and thought maybe doing this was a bit of overkill, but she did wish to test out some of her shinigami zanpakuto skills.

Yuki turned around as the cylinder of ice began to shatter, falling down from the sky but turning into balls of light soon after. Yuki stood in front of the young boy and smiled warmly at him. "It's time for you to pass on." Flipping her sword around so that the butt of the hilt was facing the boy, she tapped him on the forehead, causing him a glowing symbol to appear. This was what shinigami called a soul burial… Seeing the golden light enveloped the young boy soul, Yuki smiled as she watched the soul disappear in front of her. According to Rukia, they would be sent to the soul society, where they could then live as if they were alive.

"Yuki!" Jiraiya, who was watching from afar saw that things seemed to be over and landed next to her. "Is it over?"

"Mmm… Much easier than I thought. Although I know not to underestimate my opponents." Dealing with Kakashi today was a big reminder that no matter how good she was, there would always be a chance that she would be pushed into a corner if she was not careful.
