opened my eyes as soon as the engine stopped. Maverick stepped out and opened the door.

With a sigh, I opened the other door and stepped out.

He followed closely behind, I turned to glare at him, he stopped and allowed me to move a little farther before continuing to follow me.

"Velda, I'm here"

She sat up and tilted her head to me.

"You're late, where were you?"

"Attempted escape, survived and now I'm back"

"I heard all about it"

"Let's go shopping"

"I don't want to" I sat beside her and rested my head on her laps.

"What's with you? You look drained"

"I am drained, I have a stalker"

"A stalker? Did you tell Jason?"

"Jason knows, he assigned the stalker to me"

"Why would Jason do that?"

"Perhaps grocery shopping is what you need"

"Mrs Tordoff please allow me to do the grocery shopping" Maverick finally stepped into the light.
