Chapter 30

I grabbed my water flask which was not necessary and became a load and stuffed it into my bag full of snacks which were left untouched.

"You can't" Jason baritone stopped me in my tracks.

"Why?" I narrowed my eyes are him, we just fought and now he's looking for another reason to start a new argument.

"It's late, ten minutes to eleven" he pointed to an analog clock on the wall to his right.

"Pérez can drive me home, can't you Pérez?" I looked at Pérez who kept quiet.

"..."

"Wait, let me guess. Another way of saying please stay"

"Just the last word and no polite word added"

"Asshole" he spared me a glance before he turned.

"You should be thankful, I spared you from being bored. Your brother, Kelly will not be back till morning, you can bet on that"

"It's Kelvin and I know he won't he back today, he's got something urgent to do"

"Then I don't see what you are going home to do"
