Poison Vow Gu

"It's a Poison Vow Gu!". Shasi's eyes widened when he felt the mighty aura of the Rank 3 Poison Vow Gu, even his unrefined Frost Arrow Gu trembled a bit inside his aperture since it was still a wild Gu.

His father caressed his graying beard while observing Shasi's expression, until that point things were inside his expectations. "You agree then?". Shaxi inquired eagerly, in his mind as soon as he sorted this situation out the better, it'd be one less problem giving him a feeling of uneasiness"

"Things have escalated really quick, I don't know if it's in my best interest to accept this offer... The Clan law is a subject which I'm not very good at yet... If only I had more time... I'm afraid that if I outright refuse, things may get out of hand, plus, I'm right in the lion's den and can't even defend myself". Shasi was at doubt and had to make a choice, on the outside, only a few seconds passed but the pressure from the Rank three Gu Worm and his father remained, causing the atmosphere to almost feel hostile.

"Father, although I like the offer, I'd like to have some time to make a decision, since the academy has released an assignment for all students to refine their first Gu, I'll be occupying my mind with that for the next few weeks, How about I give an answer when I'm finished refining my Vital Gu? Shouldn't take too long and there'll be enough time for me to decide.". Shasi did his best to keep calm and make a reasonable requirement, not only his father was a Rank 3 Gu Master, but also wanted to use a Rank 3 Gu on him, so Shasi had to be very careful with his words.

Following that exchange, the room went silent for a while, until Shaxi released the sack of Primeval Stones he initially was holding onto. "I understand your reasoning my son, you can keep the Primeval Stones as a gift from your father, I'll wait for your decision then, now you can both leave". Shaxi closed his eyes after he finished talking.

Both youths quickly left, Shasi was relieved that he had gotten out of that situation without having to compromise anything, his brown long sleeved shirt was drenched in sweat on his back, this was clearly a tense situation for him, it may not seem like, but his life was in danger, one wrong answer and he'd simply "Vanish" and nobody would care.

As for Shayu, he was a bit annoyed that his trash of a brother was receiving the same treatment as himself, but also felt contemptuous about him not being able to inherit anything from their father. "Humph, bastards should know their place". He snorted inwardly.

Back inside the room, Shaxi pondered. "I had Shayu listen to this conversation and stay in the room the whole time, so that if I needed to use force I could use him as a tool, good thing it didn't have to come to this... I expect Shasi to accept my offer within the month, he lacks the knowledge about my inheritance and was probably allured by a big bag of Primeval Stones, this matter can be considered to be over... good, good".

Shasi strode through the Clan's village, he planned to go back to his dormitory as soon as he possible so he could begin refining his Gu Worm, he also couldn't wait to interact with his first Gu, as it would probably accompany him for his whole life.

On his way he couldn't help but to think about how he could deal with his father without getting in harm's way, he knew deep inside that giving up on the inheritance would be prejudicial to him otherwise such an offer would've never came up, plus, he knew better than believe that his father would admit any of his wrongdoings. "Tch... If you think I'm so easy to deal with, you're in for a surprise, Old man". Shasi unconsciously picked up the pace, his expression changed to a fierce one but quickly returned to normal.

A handful of people noticed Shasi dashing through the streets and a small gossip began spreading about him.

"I've heard he's the illegitimate son of the Sha family".

"What? How could he, he doesn't even have purple hair, he doesn't even have that arrogant look that every single member of the noble families have".

"It's true! I've seen him walking in and out of the Sha family's compound!"!

"How come we didn't get to know of this sooner?".

Slowly, rumors began spreading throughout the Clan, both Clansmen and servants all gossiped within themselves, in a few weeks, everyone would know.

Shasi, obviously couldn't care less, in fact, the more disgraced the Sha family got, the happier he was. After a couple of minutes, Shasi finally got to his dorm, it a was simple yet cozy room, a bit of a downgrade when compared to his previous room but to him, anywhere would be better than that place, even sleeping on the streets.

By the time he got there, the sky was already darkening, and for the first time in that day, Shasi could cultivate in peace, he sat down in a lotus position over his bed and rested his arms on his thighs ."Sigh... Now let's take a look at this little fellow". He breathed a sigh of relief and began looking inside his Aperture and examining his Rank 1 Frost Arrow Gu.

"Hmm.. Weird, when I first stored it in my aperture, I felt a bit of pressure inside like if something big entered it, causing it to feel stuffed, probably due to Gu's strong wild will and also due to the lack of size of my aperture, but now... The pressure is oddly almost fully gone, I wonder what caused this change...". Shasi tried to think of a cause but couldn't find it, thinking back from the time when he got his hands on the Gu up until now, he didn't have any clue

He still hadn't learnt about the effects of Gu Worms with at least 2 Ranks higher than another, and that they can instantly make them submit to someone's will, when his father let out the Poison Vow Gu and allowed it to release it's aura he unknowingly greatly helped his son by greatly weakening the Rank 1 Frost Arrow Gu's will.

"To infuse it with my will, there's a need to spend primeval essence, my 26% Capacity Aperture will certainly be a liability when it comes to these matters, but there's no other way... I'll spend the next few hours injecting my will into this Gu and see if I can estimate how long will it take for me to completely refine it". Shasi didn't waste any time and immediately initiated the process.

An hour and a half later his Primeval Sea was completely depleted, And Shasi himself seemed like he was depleted, after he was done, he stopped looking inside his aperture and opened his eyes, that was when ecstasy filled his body, in just one session of cultivation his Gu Worm had already been refined by one tenth, this meant that in ten days he could finish refining his Gu and maybe even compete for the reward!

Quickly after realizing his results, an idea came to his mind.

"I currently have 13 Primeval Stones, one primeval stone should be able to fully replenish my primeval essence since I have about one fourth of the full capacity and my primeval essence is still the initial Jade Green color. With that in mind, if I spend one Primeval Stone everyday and I'll the refinement time by half!". Shasi excitedly decided the next course of actions, in his eyes, the heavens had gave him yet another small fortune and he would certainly cherish it.

To make money, one has got to spend money, and that was exactly Shasi's thought process, even if he was going to use one primeval stone every day, spending a total 5 Primeval Stones, if he won the prize, not only would he make up for his losses but also he'd double his Primeval Stones! not only that but he would be able to refine his Vital Gu faster than any of his peers, giving him a momentarily combat power advantage!.

With that in mind, he wasted no time and stretched his right arm toward his Primeval Essence Sack and picked a Primeval Stone. If one looked closely, they'd see his previous bony limbs were now quite muscular, after becoming a Gu Master, his body improved considerably and was now up to the standards of a regular Gu Master, he was still a bit skinny but not as much as before, paired with his constant martial arts training, it made him look like he gained ten pounds of pure muscle in about ten days, his previously baggy clothes were now on the proper size.

With a Primeval Stone on his Lap, Shasi began absorbing it's energy like a sponge, the Stone gradually shrank until there was nothing left but dust, then he followed by continuously infusing his will into the Gu worm.

That process repeated itself for five days, just like he had estimated. Then finally by the end of the fifth day Shasi got up from his bed, a light blue mark in the form of an arrow formed on his left palm, an ice-blue colored Gu Worm danced happily inside his aperture.

"Success!".
