Chapter 7 - Place To Sleep

Argus walk leasurely in the direction of the South Gate. Many Awakaners are also starts returning. Argus saw many of Awakener of his age returning, like him.

"I am now level 5."

"I am level 6 hahaha."

"If we continue leveling like this won't we reach Lv. 25 and enter Mana Core Forging Realm before the entrance exam?"

"Tsk, ask if that's easy. Did you know that it is easy to level up until level 5 since the exp we get from killing monster is the same as their level which is 5 Exp right?"

"Yeah"

"Monster from Lv.6-15 will be harder to deal with. You can think of Lv.0-5 monster is a monster that was just born so they did not know much how to fight. Starting from Lv. 6, monsters will utilize their skill wisely, although not perfect at least they will not be passively take damage like the Lv.0-5 monsters so we need to be more careful hunting."

"Plus the Realm Rank Up Quest that is needed to be completed, have you forgot about it?"

"What? I didn't know that!"

"Me too."

"That's because you two are always sleeping when the teacher discusses!"

Argus raised his eyebrows slightly when he heard there conversation. All the things that guy said was correct. That is why a genius and mediocre in combat can be seen when the entrance exam will come since the enemy from Lv.6-25 will put up more fight that being passively hit.

'It will be more interesting that way. My goal for today was just to test my strength and the beast and tomorrow we can start the real hunting.'(Argus)

A smirk appeared on his face. Argus suddenly increase his walking pace. Heading straight to the Adventurer's Guild and submitting his task. Of course using his 'Fallen' identity.

He got 2,000 Vesmir Coin. Although small, his purpose is training and leveling so it does not matter. Argus can get more money if he rank up and complete higher rank missions. Argus went out to remove his disguise. He then remembered that he has no place to sleep so he come back to the receptionist.

"Ms. Receptionist, do you happen to know any inn where I can sleep with?"(Argus)

"You can call me 'Miffy'. As for your question let's see..."(Miffy)

Miffy looks at a notebook and started murmuring.

'That inn is already full, also that, this... Ah here it is...'(Miffy)

"There is a rental room just near the North Gate I don't know if they're gonna accept you though... Here is the direction, you can follow this map. Take this map, it's free anyway. I will also contact the resident of the house and inform them about you."(Miffy)

Argus bowed his head as a sign of thanks and he take the map that Miffy gave. He also plans to stroll the Stred City this weekend so a map will be helpful. He followed the direction and he was brought in a 2 story luxurious house.

'Huh? Is this really it? Is the map wrong?'(Argus)

Before Argus can think of other things. He heard a noise inside a house.

"No, I do not accept it. Why do we need to have another person here? Isn't it enough for the two of us and that is a man."

Argus heard a woman's voice.

"It's just temporary, until we accepted at the Academy. Or do you want the owner of this house to banish us?"

Argus heard another voice which coming from a man. It looks like the two are arguing.

"Humph... We will not argue with this if you order to remove the rental advertisement in the Guild. Why didn't you just rented the whole house for ourselves? This will not happen if grandpa released as early."(Woman)

"The owner did not want that, she particularly says that if we want to rent the whole house all three rooms should have a guest or she will not rent it out for us. She also gave us a deadline until 8:00 PM today. The deadline is already coming. You did not want other people to know that you're already here so I thought of making that ad to look for another guest."(Man)

"As for grandpa, forget it... He, no 'they' just dote on you too much. You know that this is the only rental house we found right? Alright we can just meet the guest and if you did not want him we cannot just reject him."(Man)

'Oi, I can hear you two. Tsk'(Argus)

Argus was annoyed on what the woman was saying and he did not have a good impression on her.

It looks like the two are in consensus. The door opened and Argus was greeted by a beautiful young woman and a handsome man. The young woman has a beautiful face with waist-length white hair and luminous golden eyes. Her skin is pale, almost translucent, giving her an ethereal glow. The young man has a short white hair and a golden eyes. They both look alike like a twin sibling.

What shocked Argus are not their beautiful appearance but the pair of elegant long white deer like horns on their heads.

'They're not demons since a demon posseses a curvy horns. A Demi-human? No, they do not possess tails. Don't tell me...'

Before Argus came to a conclusion he was interrupted by the woman.

"See this? Aren't he just a pervert. And you, why are you staring at me? Is this your first time seeing a beautiful lady?"(Woman)

Argus face started twitching. This was the first time someone called him a pervert. He did not know the reason why this woman can get on his nerves easily.

"Do not say that Sister, anyone will be surprise when seeing us, especially our horns... It's our first time coming out after that time."(Man)

The young man then look at Argus.

"Hello mister, I am Kelvin Arisia and this is my twin sister, Astelle Arisia. Nice meeting you."(Kelvin)

"Argus Orpheus. I'm here to rent one of the room. The receptionist say so. She also said that she contacted the owner of the house."(Argus)

"No, we do not want to rent the house. Just find other hotels. I do not want a pervert inside the house."(Astelle)

Argus just look at her slightly then turned his head to Kelvin. He did not want to argue with her and his brother is more reasonable. Seeing Argus ignoring her she was pissed.

"Hmph"(Astelle)

"Sister calm down. I'm sorry, it's just my sister is having a bad day so she was being like this. Normally, she is a cheerful but so many annoying things happen to her. Anyway, do you want to rent the other room?"(Kelvin)

"Yes. The hotels on this side of the city are fully book and I do not have time to go to the other side to find a place to sleep."(Argus)

Astelle want to say more but his brother Kelvin, look at her. She stop what she is about to say.

"Then we will gladly take you. Let's talk inside."(Kelvin)

Argus nodded. They then entered the house.

"Please sit here and feel at home, it's not our house anyway. And you sister, please behave, if they know you're acting like this..."(Kelvin)

Astelle look at Argus and rolled his eyes. Argus saw this and ignored her.

'This woman is unreasonable.'

"Hmph I know."(Astelle)

Not long after a person knock on their door.

"It should be the owner of the house. I will open it."(Kelvin)

Then an old lady came inside.

"Hello siblings, a new tenant is coming or he's already here?"(Old lady)

"Yes, there he is."(Kelvin)

The old lady look at the direction Kelvin was showing and she saw Argus then she smiled.

"Each of you need to pay 150,000 VC for renting the house for a month."(Old lady)

"Ye-"(Kelvin)

"No, I object... Grandma can we rent all the room or the whole house for us two? I do not want stranger to live with me. We can double no triple the payment."(Astelle)

Astelle interjected.

"Sister, what are you saying."(Kelvin)

The old lady looking at those two shook her head. Argus was really annoyed this time he was about to go out when the old lady spoke.

"Young lady, that is not possible. I do not have much use for such a big money. As you can see I am old now. I know that many youngsters are coming here to enroll to the Academy. All hotels and inns are probably full now. I ask you to find another tenant so someone can have a place to rest. If you do not want him to be here then I can only send you two siblings out and find another tenants to live here."(Old lady)

Astelle hearing this stop talking. She then realized that she is being unreasonable.

"I'm sorry Grandma for being unreasonable. We want to stay in here."(Astelle)

"Do not apologize to me but to this young man here."(Old lady)

The old lady was talking about Argus. Hearing what the Grandma says Astelle face Argus. Astelle then bowed her head.

"I'm sorry..."(Astelle)
