Chapter 2: Awakening

"Rex Obscurite, Unique Class Awakener, type Assassin."

After the Priest spoke. The whole class erupt in a roar.

"It is really a Unique Class!!"

"As expected of the heir of the top 4 families."

After the announcement, Rex calmly accepted the result and walks down from the platform. He approach Argus and give him a smug look again. Rex wants to see his friend's reaction but he was disappointed. Argus just gave him an bored look.

"Tsk you're so boring did you know that?"(Rex)

Argus did not answer him. Rex does not mind since he was already used on his friend's personality. Before he can talk more to Argus, his classmates surrounded him. Argus seeing this, take a certain distance from them. The teacher came back to his senses and called the last student.

"Argus Orpheus"

The whole area became quiet again since they know the personality of Argus. They were also curious on what is the result of Argus's awakening. Rex seeing the students became quiet, he slowly approach Argus.

"Good luck brother."(Rex)

Argus just nodded and he also head to the platform with a bored look. The Priest knowing that he was Rex's friend also greet Argus politely. Argus did not wait for the Priest instruction and he put his hand on the orb. The Priest did not mind this and he starts activating the orb.

After a while the whole room was covered with dark and crimson colored mist. Then they felt that they are being stared by divine beasts. The hair on their whole body stands up and their instinct is telling them not to move. Then the phenomenon subsided.The class became noisy again.

"That's scary"

"I felt like a ferocious beast is staring at me and not just one beast."

"Yeah, what was that."

"Another Unique Class Awakener!"

Even the Priest felt that he was facing a Divine Beast and one wrong move and it will erase his existence. It's almost at the same level as Rex's phenomenon or even worst. Calming his mind again. He spoke the result.

"Argus Orpheus, Unique Class Awakener, type Summoner."

"Really... Unique Class again"

"Two Unique Class are our classmates wow that was unexpected."

"Unique Class was also divided into strong and weak class but both of their phenomenon is scary so we can say that their class are both strong class. But his class is summoner, an average class."

"Even if it is an average class a Unique Class is a Unique Class. They were still stronger than Elite Classes."

"Yeah, I expected both the Twin Devils to get a strong class but it was unexpected that both of them get Unique Class. They are living on their names."

The being that is the center on the other hand ignore the talks around him. Argus was staring on the Status Window in front of him.

Although Argus has many questions in minds, it's not the proper place to think deeply about it. Closing his status window, Argus walks down at the platform and return to Rex side. Seeing Argus, the students make way to him, they congratulate him while walking but Argus still has that lazy face.

"At least smile you idiot. You are really a boring person. What happened to your eyes? Is that the result of your awakening?"(Rex)

Argus ignored Rex.

"Sigh... Thank you everyone."(Argus)

Hearing Argus, everyone was stunned including Rex. The students cheer up again since this was the first time they heard Argus say thanks, although a bit forcefully.

"Did you hear that?"

"Yeah Argus thanks us."

"This is once in a lifetime thing"

"Is it the end of the world?"

"Hahahahahaha"

The students jokes and they all starts laughing. Seeing this Argus also smiles. Rex seeing it teas his friend.

"You should smile more you know, it will make you more handsome."(Rex)

Argus just rolled his eyes at Rex. After that small event. Argus and his classmates go to the School's Auditorium for the announcement of the Principal. Since Argus's class was the last one they are seated at the back of the stage.

"Look that's the 5th Class, they say that they are 2 Unique Class Awakeners."

"Yeah I also heard it."

"Guess who was it?"

"The Twin Devil's right?"

"Wait, how did you know?"

"Isn't that already obvious?"

"You're right."

"Then what is the reaction of Dayn Cruzlo of Class 1?"

"Isn't he always pester The Twin Devil's. Especially Argus since he was afraid of Rex's background?"

"Yeah he was also a Unique Class Awakener like the two. After he awakened he declared that he will beat Argus now that he was Awakened. I don't know that's true?"

"You're right. He boast that his class is the Holy Guardian Knight. He said that he will let Argus hit him if he can break his defense he is too arrogant. The reason why he is so arrogant because Argus class is a summoner, an average class."

"Argus on the other hand is low key. The only reason he became famous is because his enemies keep beating other people that wants to get revenge on him. Now I don't know if he will still rise up like now."

"Now that Argus is Awakened and Unique Class at that maybe he will become more stronger right?"

"Not really, not all Unique Class is strong right? Some may have a strong phenomenon but the class was weak. Or maybe even if the class was strong but the wielder is weak. And his class is summoner, the so called average class. If he tamed strong beast then good but if he can't then it will be average class even if it's a Unique Class."

"There are also the case where a Weak Class become strong but only slim chance that it will happen."

The students murmured to themselves. Argus and Rex ignored this and just find a place to sit. They were just about to sit when a young man approach them. The young man has a big muscular body standing 2 meters with a golden hair and a silver eye. He has below average face but he did not conceal his arrogance and condescending look. This man is Dayn Cruzlo.

"I heard that you are also an Unique Awakener Argus Orpheus. I want to challenge you to a duel. Let's see if you can break my defence with my class. Hahahaha"(Dayn)

"Here he is."

"He really challenge him."

"Is he afraid to be beaten."

"Shh... Shut your mouth or Dayn will hear you."

Argus ignored him and just sit down. Rex on the other hand look at him like an idiot. Seeing this a bulge appeared on Dayn's face. He was ignored. He look around the auditorium and he saw that many of the students where snickering.

"Are you afraid of my challenge?!! Now that we are both Unique Awakeners, are you afraid that you will lose to me?!!"

Dayn shouted. Many students who is watching shook their heads at his conduct. Crozlu Family is also one of the big family second only to the Top 4 families of Human Race. Cruzlo family is a subordinate family of Lumiere Clan.

{Flashback}

Dayn was the top 1 in their school batch before Argus and Rex met. Argus was not interested in competing and has average rank. Rex did not transfer yet at that time. When Rex transfered, he beat Dayn that is top 1 on their batch in Test Exam and Battle Exam.

Dayn knows Rex background so he did not target him but he target his friend which is Argus. Argus ignored him although annoying, Dayn did not crossed the line he sets. Dayn notice this so he made a plan to piss Argus. Dayn put garbage on his locker and vandalized it.

When Argus and Rex enters the school and notice the weird looks the students they are giving Argus but he ignored it. When Argus goes to his locker and opens it, a stinky smell suddenly flows true their noses and a garbages flows down on his locker. Argus saw what it is and he calmly step back to avoid the trash. This greatly pissed Argus then he heard someone snickering.

Argus look on that direction with a cold gaze but returned to his bored look. He saw Dayn and his goons snickering. Argus then slowly walks on their direction calmly. Seeing this Dayn's group started laughing loudly.

"Look, young master... He is now walking in our direction."

"Look at that gaze... Ohh scary."

"Hahaha it looks like he's angry."

Argus then reach their location and stared straight at Dayn's eyes.

"Did you do it?"(Argus)

Argus asks calmly. Dayn smiled provocatively and was about to nod when he suddenly felt a pain under his solar plexus.
