Chapter 11 - Rescue(2)

After saying that both of children cried hard and passed out. The two also receive the emergency quest. After reading it the reaction of the two became grim.

"Crimson miasma?"(Astelle)

"Abyssals? Impossible what's an Abyssal doing near the City. For a ritual? What's his motive?"(Kelvin)

"That's not important, someone wants to save the children alone. We need to help that person.(Astelle)

"No, it's very dangerous! The enemy is in Mana Core Forging Realm or even stronger. We should ask stronger people to help."(Kelvin)

Astelle shook her head.

"I know but those kids are endanger. If we ask help it might already be late. You ask for help and I will follow theat person. I don't know how strong the Abyssal Servant but my priority is saving the children."(Astelle)

Before Kelvin could say anything, Astelle immediately runs on the direction where Argus went.

"Sister! Come back!.. Sigh... It's no use."(Kelvin)

Kelvin then glance at the two kids. Their face has been healed by Astelle's Low Level Healing potion. Kelvin then immediately carry the 2 kids and brought them to the other firefly viewers.

"Please bring this 2 child to the Adventurer's Guild. Thank you very much."(Kelvin)

Kelvin immediately runs after her sister. While running he is also operating his Holowatch to contacts his grandpa's acquaintance. A Holowatch is a watch that every Awakener use to convey information and can also be use to link to the internet and other useful stuffs.

"Falkor's grandson why did you call?"

"Hello, Senior Stark I have an emergency here..."(Kelvin)

Kelvin then tells 'Mr. Stark' about the Abyssal Servant.

"Abyssal Servant you say? Okay I will ask the Guild to back you up. It's not possible for us to move since we are at the central city and they are monitoring us. It was different matter if the Adventurer Guild move though."(Senior Stark)

"Thank you Senior Stark. Please assign more healer's just in case."(Kelvin)

"Don't do anything dangerous kid. An Abyssal Servant is dangerous. You still did not form your own core."(Senior Stark)

"I know."(Kelvin)

Kelvin hang up the call and started increasing his speed. Beginner Realm Awakeners can only use their physique in fighting since they can't still mobilize the mana that's inside their body.

"I hope my sister will not do anything reckless."(Kelvin)

{Argus's POV}

Argus is now near the cave hiding. He is currently monitoring the movement inside but since it's a cave he can only see the outside part of the cave even if he has night vision.

'There are 5 guards outside and 5 guards hiding inside. I can't see the situation deeper. This is troublesome. I can't use my mana, and I don't have a range weapon.'(Argus)

Argus then started planning how to properly subdue those guards without making too much commotion but it will be impossible. He observed for a while, suddenly he heard a sound behind him.

Argus thought that he was discovered but he saw a white haired girl running. Argus eyes widens when he saw Astelle here.

'What's this girl doing here... Don't tell me...'(Argus)

Argus runs to intercept Astelle before she could alert the enemies. He showed himself in front of her. Astelle was shocked when a person who wears mask and a cloak suddenly appeared in front of her. She stepped back, brought his katana out and take a battle stance.

"Enemy?"(Astelle)

Argus shooks his head.

"Are you the savior of the two kids?"(Astelle)

"Yes."(Argus)

Argus is not worried that Astelle will recognize his voice since every mask has a voice changer attach to them.

"Then why are you stopping me here? Depending on your answer I might fight you."(Astelle)

Argus rolled his eyes inside the mask. Of course Astelle can't see it.

"Do not do anything stupid, there are more kidnappers like what the quest says, other than the Abyssal Servant so do not attack head on. I have a rough plan so wait for a while."(Argus)

"What's your name? I can't just call you any name I want right?"(Astelle)

"You can call me... Fallen."(Argus)

"Poof... What's that lame alias, by the way you can call me Astelle."(Astelle)

"Have you call for help?"(Argus)

"Yes, my brother called for help."(Astelle)

Argus just nod and Astelle calm herself down. Argus then go back to the place he was hiding and observes the cave. Not long after another whooshing sound can be heard behind them. It's Kelvin.

Astelle seeing who is it immediately intercept him and tells him about 'Fallen'. Kelvin also introduce himself to 'Fallen' and he also observes the cave.

"I have called for help but they might be delayed for an hour."(Kelvin)

"We can't wait that long. The ceremony will start anytime now."(Argus)

"Do you have plan in mind?"(Kelvin)

Argus shook his head.

"Do you have any Free Stats? If so use it all or it may cause you your life."(Argus)

The two nodded. Argus also starts adding his free stats.

After adding all his free stats, Argus felt his whole body's temperature slowly rising but he already knows that this heat was also slowly transforming his body. It was accompanied by pain since his free stats was forcefully strengthening every awakener's body. Not long after his body's temperature are slowly cooling down.

Argus did not add any of his current free Stats on his INT because currently his INT stats is of no use. He cannot use his Mana on his current rank. He plans to balance his stats after this event. That is if he survived.

Argus saw the twins, was also finish. He called them and ask for their own opinion and started to plan their moves. Before they could starts to talk about a plan. The trio felt a surge of Mana being drawn inside the cave.

"No, the ritual starts!"(Astelle)

"Let's go! We cannot hide any longer."(Kelvin)

"Tsk..."(Argus)

In the end they still attack head on. The three of them sprinted at the cave.

"Enemies!"

"They are 3 brats. Let's kill them!"

"Yes!"

With Argus newly added stat, his movement speed also increase and he cannot properly control it. He was surprised of his movement speed and he bumps to one of the enemies.

Bang!

"Ahhh!"

The slave was sent flying back because of the impact of their collision. The twins was a bit surprised on what happened but they immediately woken up and attack the other two.

'I can't properly control my current status. I need to fully control this before we faced that Abyssal Servant or else I will be in trouble.'(Argus)

"Ahh my arms."

Astelle then slash her katana at her enemy's necks. Kelvin runs slower than Astelle but as he saw the enemies, a great sword suddenly appeared on his hands and he slash the other one.

"Ahhh!"

The one who was send flying on the cave walls by Argus died. Not wasting anymore time. Argus brandished his spear to the two enemies and pierce their head.

Argus did not stop even though its he's first time killing human. and continue sprinting inside. He didn't think deeply about it. It looks like the enemies inside heard the commotion since another 15 enemies intercept them.

"Archers kill them. Warriors attack!"

He avoids the arrows that was coming with his speed. Argus prepared his spear, his target is the archers at the back.

"Shield Warriors protect the Archers! Use your shields!"

Seeing this Argus still continued running. When the shield guard reach Argus, he kick the shield guard. The shield guard tried to block his kick, but he's too weak.

"No I can't block it. Ahhh!"

The shield guard was sent flying, the 3 enemies at the back caught unprepared so they collided with him.

Bang!

Argus did not stop and continued running. Astelle on the other hand targeted the stumbled enemies. Drawing her katana and slash it through their necks

The archers and shield Warriors was killed easily. But the remaining enemies has also closen the distance. They tried to surround Argus.

"Surround him!"

Is what they thought. Argus did not want to be surrender since you can't currently properly control his body. Kelvin comes to the rescue and he brandish his great sword in a large swing.

"""Ahhh!"""

The enemies did not expect that to happen, three enemies died in their body was sliced and half. Astelle also came at the same time and the three of them killed the rest of the enemies.

"You're strong!"(Astelle)

Argus ignored her and continued to head inside.

"Not the proper time to chitchat sister."(Kelvin)

"I know."(Astelle)

They were intercepted again by the enemies but they all have been easily killed by the trio. These three are genius in combat so killing this enemies is not a big deal to them. After that last interception, no one comes out again.

Argus also adjusted to his current strength, with all the fights that happened. It all thanks to his to innate skills that activated during combat but he didn't know about it.

"Looks like all the minions are dead."(Astelle)

Astelle was a bit exhausted with the nonstop running and fighting. Kelvin and Argus was also the same. Astelle look at Argus who is looking at the deeper part of the cave. The three rest for 5 minutes.

"Ahhhh!"

"Please stop this it hurts!"

"Uwahhh I don't want this! I don't want this!"

"Please stop this! I'll do anything!"

"Mister it hurts! Uwahhh!"

Cries of children can suddenly heard inside the cave. Argus and the two immediately dash deeper in the cave. Not long after they saw a big magic circle with more than 100 of children's inside crying. It is protected by a magic barrier that is connected through the magic circle. The magic circle was slowly draining the blood of the childrens. The blood is being collected above the center of the magic circle.

At the very center of the magic circle a Human who is releasing Crimson miasma is currently sitting on a box that is covered by chains.The Abyssal Servant look at his guest.

"Hehehe I didn't think that the rats who killed my slaves are just three Beginner Realm brats."

"You scum what are you planning to this children!"(Astelle)

Astelle is really angry, seeing the painful expressions of those children makes his blood boil. If his brother is not holding her, she might attack the magic circle.

Kelvin's expression was also dark. As soon as he saw the magic circle, he is trying to find out what kind of ritual is happening.

Argus has a calm expression inside his mask, this is due to his two innate skills. His ocular skills, started being activated after seeing the magic circle. His eyes inside the mask started glowing.
